Satan
will return to earth again; this time claiming he is Christ. So the apostle
Paul, authorized by the Lord Jesus Christ, made it real clear in his second
letter to the Thessalonians with a simple solid statement of fact as to
what MUST happen first, BEFORE Jesus Christ returns at the Last Trump! In
2 Thes. 2:3-4 he
says, "Let no man deceive you by any means."
No
man means no preacher, teacher, visionary, commentator, friend or foe,
whether male or female, or whether dead or alive!
Paul continues... "For
that day", the day the Lord returns, "shall NOT come, except there come
a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that
is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing
himself that he is God."
So before Jesus Christ returns, Satan will be cast to this earth along with his angels according to Rev. 12:7-9 and he will appear as the Messiah with "all power and signs and lying wonders (2 Thes. 2:9)", performing miracles "in the sight of men (Rev. 13:13)"and deceive the whole world into believing he is God, i.e. Jesus Christ.
You
SEE, if you do not KNOW that the false messiah comes FIRST, which is part
of having the "seal of God" in your forehead (Rev.
9:4), no one will convince you, after the
fact, that Jesus Christ has not returned. You will surely worship
the abomination of desolation, the abominable one, the wicked one, the
beast, the dragon, that old serpent, Satan himself.
But,
now you do know, don't you? What you may not know, is how to tell the
difference.
Make sure you know how to tell the difference between them.The difference between "what is holy" and "what is profane" The difference between "Jesus" and "Satan"; for when Satan comes to earth claiming to be Jesus. You won't "Endure unto the End" if Christ returns and finds you "spiritually pregnant", carrying Satan spiritual baby. If He finds you have been worshipping Satan, it won't matter that you thought he was Jesus!
Paul tells us how!; And we must know how if we are to "Endure unto the End"!

Come to think of it, that pretty much describes most of Christianity today, doesn't it?
Far too many of our Christian brothers and sisters believe that Jesus Christ will return at any moment to lift them up in the clouds and consequently they feel no need nor are they encouraged by their pastors to study or understand the events preceding or during the great tribulation as detailed in God's Word.
The foundation for their Rapture "theory" is largely built on the latter half of the fourth chapter of this first epistle to the Thessalonians which has been subjected to much "spin" by the Biblically illiterate in order to promote security and peace of mind to their congregations.
One thing is for sure, though.
In these two information-packed epistles to the Thessalonians we will find out if the rapture theory will Fly Ya or Fry Ya!
Let's look at some background information before we begin our study.
We know that the Apostle Paul founded the church at Thessalonica on his second missionary journey.
However, establishing the church was NOT an easy task free of trials and tribulations for he had been driven by the persecuting Jews from Thessalonica to Berea and from Berea to Athens.
Paul deeply loved the people at Thessalonica and even though he had not spent all that much time with them he thought about them often and twice attempted to revisit them.
Both times he was prevented from seeing them in person so in his stead he sent Timothy to inquire of them.
When Timothy returned to meet Paul in Corinth, where Paul wrote his epistles to the Thessalonians, he gave him a most favorable report, the gratitude of which Paul expresses in his letter.
However, there were certain dangers to which the Thessalonians were exposed that concerned Paul.
For one thing, in their zeal and enthusiasm they dwelled very intensely on the day of the Lord's return which resulted in neglecting their daily work, which in turn resulted in some less than positive consequences.
And so the second advent became much of the subject of Paul's letters to the Thessalonians and in them he explains the "signs" to look for in the last days.
Then too, while they were focused on the Lord's second coming, certain members of the church passed away and there was great anxiety about their sharing in the glories of the Lord's return.
So Paul comforts them by explaining where those who have died now reside (i.e. with Him) and how our gathering together with them and the Lord will occur at the last Trump.
Finally, the Thessalonians were very zealous in spreading forth the word and as a result of their enthusiasm in evangelizing they influenced many people.
However, they still needed some encouragement under persecution.
Hey, we will take some of that encouragement too, Paul!
Now let's read some scriptural background on how Paul and Silas established the church in Thessalonica.
Acts 17:1
Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews:[2] And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
"As his manner was", as verses two and three show, he took the scriptures, which at this time consisted solely of what we call the Old Testament (for the New one had not yet been written), and he documented what the Word of God said, i.e. in the manner of "Thus saith the Lord GOD".
Then using common sense and reasoning while openly displaying the prophecies of the first advent and how Messiah "must needs have suffered" to fulfill the details of Psalms 22 and Isaiah 53 for example, he caused them to be convinced from the scriptures that Jesus was indeed that Lamb of God who took the stripes and suffered on the cross and fulfilled all those prophecies!
[3] Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
They therefore represent a type of all true believers.
Likewise, you now know "the manner" of Paul, not because we told you his manner, but because you read it yourself from Acts chapter 17.

And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few.
[5] But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy,...
Ioudaios, ee-oo-dah'-yos, Greek 2453; from Greek 2448 (Iouda) (in the sense of Greek 2455 (Ioudas) as a country); Jud'an, i.e. belonging to Jehudah :- Jew (-ess), of Jud'a.
These Judeans are further identified in the second part of verse five as being evil in that they hired thugs of the baser sort (scum bags) to assault the house of a goodly righteous man, Jason, and to stir up the minds of the people.
[5 ...continued] ...took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.
According to Smith's Bible Dictionary, the name "Jason" is the Greek form of the name Jesus; Hebrew Joshua.
How fitting indeed for there is certainly nothing new about the kenites using hirelings to assault the good people of the body of Christ, is there?
Their enmity began way back in Gen. 3:15.
Acts 17:6
And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
[7] Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.

There is nothing new under the sun.
With all that background in mind,

Christian soldiers will take their stance against the fiery darts of the Wicked One.
We have come to the 9th
book of the Minor Prophets,
the book of the prophet
Zephaniah
whose name means "Hidden of Yah".
It is particularly important
at this late date in the chronological order of events
for those with "eyes
to see and ears to hear" to understand this instructional book of Zephaniah
for it concerns the warning,
the "Minatory" as Dr. Bullinger calls it in the Companion Bible on page
1271,
of the 7th Trump which
is the time known as the great Day of the LORD.
Let us document as part
of our introductory
the exact timeframe of
this book which can be found in verses 14-16 of the first chapter as follows:
Zeph. 1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.[15] That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
[16] A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.
How so?
Because
when Satan as the false messiah is cast out of heaven to this earth (Rev.
12:7-9)
at
the sound of the 6th Trump,
God's
elect, the watchmen,
will
no longer be warning their brothers and sisters that the enemy is coming.
The
reason why is obvious,
for
he (Satan) will already be here claiming to be the true Messiah.
In other words, the 6th
Trump will have sounded
and now it shall be time
to blow the sound of warning (trumpet)
and to fulfill Mark 13:10
and "Proclaim [the gospel] Among All Nations",
the good news of the
Kingdom of God,
i.e. that Yeshua Messiah
is about to return as King of kings
with a rod of iron and
subdue all nations and destroy Babylon the great,
the mother of harlots
and abominations of the earth.
As it is written, at that
time "some of you" [of God's elect]
will be delivered up
to give that witness and testimony before the great Day of the LORD,
the Day of His Wrath,
arrives.
It is "the WORK" to come
that shall be accomplished by those among the brotherhood,
even of the church of
Smyrna,
when the "devil" has
arrived on the scene at the sound of the 6th Trump:
Rev. 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
The events that take place in Daniel concern "the latter days", the time of the end. "The Book of Daniel" is the Apocalypse of the Old Testament and a sister book to Apocalypse of the New Testament, "The Book of Revelation" which we studied awhile back. The "beasts" Daniel saw are also symbolic of kingdoms or nations. So the question is today, "Who can stand against the greatest superpower of all time?" By the way, the two horns of the ram have been doing a little "pushing" of the nations lately, haven't they?
INTRODUCTION
The Book of Micah is the sixth book among the twelve wondrous works called the Minor Prophets, which are not really "minor" at all in terms of their importance. It is only because these twelve books are shorter in length than the writings of the other prophets such as Isaiah and Jeremiah that they are called "minor". Of course, if we called them the "short" prophets there would be people who would think that "short prophets" wrote them (No, really!). Nevertheless, in all the Hebrew manuscripts and printed Hebrew Bibles the twelve Minor Prophets are written and printed in unbroken sequence and are combined together to form one book, just as the twelve Tribes of Israel, each a separate entity in Israel, combined to form one nation.
We shall begin our study of Micah in the same manner we begin studying all the prophets and that is by understanding the meaning of his name. People often overlook the fact that names have significant meanings in the Bible and the names of the prophets reflect the nature or character of their work. For instance, "El" in Hebrew means God and is the suffix of many names such as:
Then we have the many names beginning or ending with (Y)ah, God's covenant name:Samu-el = Asked of God or God-heard
Ezeki-el = God is strong or God strengthens
Dani-el = God is Judge
Jo-el = Yah is God
Micha-el = Who is like unto God?
And so it is that the name Micah means "Who is like Yahveh?" which actually asks the question "Who is like Yahveh?" The answer of course is that there is NO ONE like unto Him!Isai-ah = The Salvation of God
Jeremi-ah = Whom God raises up, launches forth
Obadi-ah = Servant of God
Zephani-ah = Hidden of God
Zechari-ah = Remembered of God
Mic-ah = Who is like God?
Yah-shua = God's Savior = Jesus
The problem is that there is another who thinks he IS "like the most high" (Isa. 14:14)! His name is Satan and you know what? He does not appear anywhere in a red suit with little horns and a pitchfork. Those are but character descriptions of the dirty rotten snake, if you know what I mean.Jeremiah 10:6
Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
No, Satan always appears as an "angel of light" to enlighten the minds of men and women. And it is written that he shall soon be cast out of heaven with his angelic entourage (Rev. 12:7-9) and he will come to this earth as Jesus Christ though he will be the the false-Christ, the spurious messiah, the "Instead of Jesus", as in an imposter. The apostle Paul made it perfectly clear in 2 Thes. 2 that Satan will come showing great signs and wonders and sit in the temple of God claiming that he is God.
What Paul is saying is that there will not be any gathering back to Christ until after Satan appears firstand deceives the whole world into believing that he is God, i.e. that he is Jesus Christ the Messiah. Those who believe in the "any moment" Rapture Theory are going to love him to death (spiritually speaking that is)!2 Thes. 2:3

So the false one is coming and you had better know BEFOREHAND "Who is God" and "Who is not God". To that end, Micah was sent with wisdom and knowledge from our Father to help us in these last days. So let us begin reading with understanding what He has provided for us.[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Here is Peter on that first Pentecost Day following the resurrection of our Lord quoting (in the New Testament) from the Book of Joel (in the Old Testament):
Acts 2:17 (from Joel 2:28) And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
By the way, not only will the sons
and daughters of the final generation of the fig tree see the visions,
as in understand the visions, but
they will also "see them come to pass".
Truly this is the most exciting of all "Biblical times" in which to live.
It is the time of the event-packed
"last days",
the time that all the great prophets and the disciples
heard about
and wrote about and yet incredibly,
it is you and I who are the ones privileged to actually
be living in those days!
We have now come to the seventh book (chronologically)
of the Minor Prophets
called the Book of Nahum, whose subject, purpose, and
time spoken of
are all derived from an understanding of the very first
verse.

Do you realize
that we live during the most exciting "Biblical times"
in the history
of the world?
That's right!
This final generation, the generation
of the fig tree that began on May 15, 1948,
is the generation that will see the
fulfillment of "all these things" Jesus Christ foretold His disciples about
when they asked Him what signs there
would be just prior to His second coming (Mat. 24, Mk. 13, Luke 21).
Not only that, but we of that Baby
Boomer generation who are alive
and have remained so far have ALREADY
witnessed many of those signs come to pass
including the "rising up out of the
sea" (the
sea is symbolic of all peoples and nations - Rev. 17:15)
of the multi-headed political system
we call the New World Order,
which is none other than the multi-headed
"beast" of Rev. 13:1.
Here is part of Jesus Christ's reply to His disciple's question regarding the signs to look for in the final generation:
Mark 13:5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
[6] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
You see, the great tribulation of these
end times is "spiritual warfare"
which is why Paul tells us to put
on the whole Gospel Armor in Eph. 6:13
"that ye may be able to withstand
in
the evil day, and having done all, to stand."
[7] And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
No, it is when you begin to see the
breakdown of the economic and political "walls
that separate the free nations and
the communist nations" (symbolized by the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989)
and you see the "Iron Curtain" come
down and "mix with the miry clay"
that the labor pangs (sorrows) signaling
the birth of a new age would begin!
And so they have begun!
You see, the political and economic
"Globalization"
of both the Christian (kingdom) nations
and the ethnic nations would begin to take rise.
In other words the "beast" of Rev.
13:1 would begin to rise up from the sea,
from among all peoples and nations!
Did you know that Jesus Christ foretold us about globalization, of that "rising together"?
Here are His words:
[8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Matthew 24:7 For nation [ethos, i.e. ethnic nations] shall rise [stand up] against [along side of, beside] nation, and kingdom [properly royalty, i.e. the nations of the true house of Israel] against kingdom...

When you begin to see globalization,
the rising of the New World Order,
the "beast" with all it's ensnaring
tentacles (WTO, IMF, World Court,
Peace Keeping troops, etc.) then...
"there
shall be earthquakes in divers places,
and there shall
be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows."
And that brings us to this great Book of Habakkuk.
How so?
Because God's elect who have eyes to
see and ears to hear
shall witness (even are witnessing)
the captivity and oppression of their people
and all the injustice and corruption
and iniquity in divers places,
meaning in all areas of society (education,
economics, politics, religion),
that is already accompanying the emergence
and stranglehold of the beast!
Though it is God's Plan that "all these
things come to pass" exactly as it written in His Word,
"seeing" all "these things" and the
ensuing injustice take place day after day after day
can become quite wearisome at times
for those who know and love the Word of God,
who see such "iniquity abound and
the love (of truth, i.e. God's Word) of so many wax cold"!
Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Unlike the "foolish
virgins" of Mat. 25, we must be "wise virgins"
and remain focused
on our Father's Word by filling our lamps daily with that illuminating
oil of His Spirit, His Word.
In other words,
we must be patient and hold fast and "embrace" our loving Father
through prayer
and through prayerfully studying His Word.
He is so good to us and just like He
gave us the great Book of Job
to help us remember to "stand up"
when we are persecuted (and not sit)
seeing and knowing and trusting in
His great power and His great purpose,
He likewise gave us this great Book
of Habakkuk to "embrace"
when we mourn and lament the evil
and oppression during that darkest hour
(for it grows darker and darker with
each passing day)
and to help us also to remember His
great power and His great purpose,
ESPECIALLY the "wonderful work" He
is accomplishing in these last days!
So if you have never studied this Book
of Habakkuk, whose name means "to embrace",
you will find it to be most informative
and inspiring and uplifting as our Father tells it like it is
in His response to Habakkuk's (and
your) crying out, "How Long, O Lord?"
In fact, after listening to the LORD's
"speech" Habakkuk declares his profound "awe"
at understanding His Father's words
and then gives one of the most powerful,
yet simple and sublime prayers in
all of God's Word,
concluding with such rejoicing as
to bring tears of joy to one's seeing eyes and melt one's heart with gladness.
We will also document as we study this
Book of Habakkuk, the Book of Embracing,
that his "vision" was given to him
for these end times,
for the appointed time (2:3),
for the time of trouble such as never
was since there was a nation (Dan. 12:1).
Even historically, Habakkuk's vision
"was given to him just before the fall of Nineveh,
which placed Babylon at the head of
the Gentile world"
(See preface to Habakkuk in the Companion
Bible, pg. 1266).
Therefore, as a "type" this places his vision during that dark hour of the reign of Satan as the false-christ,
