The problem is all that most of them teach are the idolatrous traditions of men! Very few claiming to represent Him in these last days ever teach the Word of God chapter by chapter and verse by verse whereby the people can come to know Christ and become firmly founded upon the true Rock.

#4484That hostile group of Jews [kenites] we read of in chapter 1:19 sought to kill Jesus.

#4485   Here's a good question to ask yourself. Is your doctrine the doctrine of your church, handed down in quarterlies, or the doctrine of the Word of God?

#4486You may go to church once or twice a week, but if you do not study the Word of God, then you are not hungry for the bread and you are not thirsty for the water that comes from Him!

#4487   There was darkness in the world following Satan's rebellion in the world that then was (II Pet. 3) and God brought Light into the world to dispel that darkness.

And this verse does not say that abiding in church will make you free.  Church is actually a bondage for many.

#4499   Don't make it such a hard thing to understand that the flesh can't see that which is spiritual? You know you can't see a thought or an idea. Actually, even words are spirit. Oh you can see them in print, but you don't have to. You can hear them which you could say means they are sound waves and therefore physical. But words have meanings and you cannot see a "meaning" under a microscope or detect it on an oscilloscope. You cannot weigh it, nor can you measure it with a ruler. You can only understand it. The Word of God is spiritual. And so it is that the Written Word and the Living Word are one.

#4500And just who would be asking Him for all that wisdom and understanding and perhaps an open door? Those who really and truly love Him, of course! And they have a special quality about them, they keep His commandments, which is all of His Word.

#4501   The "I AM", Jesus Christ, now likens Himself to a vine, which has branches. The question is, "Why would He make this analogy"?  The answer is: To teach us, so that we may get a clear PICTURE of how He abides in us and we in Him. And the Father is the husbandman, the vinedresser, the caretaker who goes through the vineyard and prunes the branches and cuts off the dead ones.

#4627 Quite frankly that means that they are still baby Christians and cannot tell the difference between the "tree of life" and the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil".

#4631One of requirements for salvation is that each son of God come down from above and be born of flesh and die the first death, the death of the flesh.

#4632 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Why is it a fearful [formidable] thing? Because you "see", God can destroy not only your flesh body, but your very soul. He is the one you should fear, as in revere!

#4633Now Paul is going to "Remember the Days of Old" and show us the substance of what real faith is made of!

#4634   It is extremely important that you understand how the word "cloud" is used here as you study other places it is used in your Bible.

James
#4638   James did not write this letter to the Jews as we know them today, not the little country currently living in the middle east which is made up of a few members of the tribe of Judah (those few who returned with Ezra in the 5th century BC) but mostly of kenites. If he meant his letter for them he could have hand carried it across town when he wrote it in 45 AD; after all he wrote it from Jerusalem!

#4639Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

#4640   Don't make the mistake of SEEING this only in terms of the flesh.

#4641    James has written this letter to the tribes of Israel who were scattered and migrated over the Caucasus mountains and into Europe and later over into the Americas, etc.

#4642Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

1 Peter
#4643   Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

#4644One should never use the knowledge of the truth which has set us free to "slice" up, i.e. to belittle or make a fool of someone who doesn't have eyes to see or ears to hear.

#4645The more you pray and study His Word, the more room you give Him so that when persecution or false accusation, i.e. the opportunity to do the right thing, presents itself to the nuclear reactor of your mind, there He may appear also to prevent a meltdown of your character and conduct as a Christian.

#4646For the cause of judging, i.e. for the cause of salvation the gospel was preached also to them that are "dead".

#4647Just so we are clear on who the "house of God" is:

#4648   These two Greek words translated "care" and "careth" in verse 7 are not the same.

2 Peter
#4649   But consider that there are many busy, active, Christians that do claim to know Him and yet they have no knowledge of the Written Word, and worse yet, they think they are in His good graces.

#4650   Peter is simply saying that the Word of God isn't just the "writings of fallible, human, men", which is what we often hear the scoffers say today, isn't it? But the Bible is truly from God, authored by the Holy Spirit which is His divine power!

#4651If you have accepted Jesus and not been taught the oracles of God in this generation, then you will follow Satan, when he appears, for you will believe he is Jesus.

#4652   Notice that Peter gives credentials to Paul and calls his epistles "scriptures".  And yes, some of Paul's writings would be, and are for the unlearned, hard to understand if one doesn't know about the 3 Earth Ages. Eph. 1:4 where Paul talks about God's elect being chosen before the foundation/destruction of this earth age is really hard for some to explain.

1 John
#4653   Fellowship one with another= You and/or me with Christ; Not fellowship you with me together, without Christ.

#4654   It is one thing to say that you believe in Jesus Christ and that you fellowship with Him but it is an entirely different matter to KNOW that you KNOW Him, with NEVER a DOUBT!

#4655Now let's think for a moment: If Satan went after Christ who knew who he was, what makes us think he won't come after us?

#4656Since God's elect have received the anointing of the Holy Spirit they do not need any of man's teachings, i.e. the traditions of men, because they have His Word.

#4657   If you do these things His blessings will flow and you will be one happy child.

#4658For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

#4659   The fact is that the instant a person "confesses that Jesus Christ is the Son of God" he receives the Holy Spirit and "God now dwelleth in him."

#4660The unforgivable sin is a spiritual sin unto death, perdition, that can only be committed by one of God's elect, i.e. one of His servants who has come to a full knowledge of the Truth, His Word. Therefore since most Christians are Biblically illiterate and do not have eyes to see and ears to hear, they cannot even commit the unforgivable sin!

2 John
#4661For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.

The Revelation
#4663   The reason John writes that these things must "shortly come to pass" is because we will find in verse 10 that John isn't writing from the perspective of 96 A.D.
