MyHi-lite:
John 4:21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh,
when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the
Father.
22
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is
of the Jews.
23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship
the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship
him.
24
God
is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and
in truth.
25
The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ:
when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26
Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee
am he.
Salvation is about to be opened up to everyone, everywhere, and they will all be able to worship the Father anytime, anywhere.[21] Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
Refer back to 2 Kings 17:24-34. Remember the Samaritans worshipped many "who knows what gods", but salvation is of Israel.[22] Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Look what Jesus just revealed. True worshippers worship the Father. (Of course!) And they worship Him in "spirit" and "truth". What is truth? It is the Word of God. (Of course!)John 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
And how is it that one can worship the Father anytime, anywhere? The answer is in the next verse.
God is not composed of flesh and He is not limited to a geographical location such as temple or a church building. He is a Spirit being.[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
The woman is now shaking her head in wonderment saying, "Wow, I know that when the Messiah comes He'll be able to explain things so simply to us just like you are doing...", while she's still thinking "and he knows all there is to know about me... could it be...?" The timing is now PERFECT, and so:[25] The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when He is come, He will tell us all things.
John 4:26
Jesus saith unto her,I that speak unto thee am He.
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
is.
