My highlighted verses: John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The word "quickeneth" means "makes alive" or "gives life". It is the spirit that gives life! That SPIRIT is the WORD of GOD, all of it, the words that He speaks unto you and me!
Then know that we are hearing (by reading) the very words of Jesus Christ. And from His own lips in verse 63 He says that these [His words] are spirit, and they are life! So the question is, How does one seek Christ? By going to church? No, you must seek Him in spirit. And that spirit is HIS WORDS, not a church, not a church building, not a denomination, but HIS WORD!
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
