1 Corinthians
Chapter 2
Caution to students of God's Word - Please remember two things when using our studies: #1. Our commentary is not God's Word. It is only our interpretation or understanding of "His Word" and even though we try our best to be accurate we may or may not be correct. #2. The King James translation, or any other translation, of the original Hebrew text has some words which were given different translations at different places probably because of the interpreters preconceived ideas of what they think God meant to say. For example: According to the notes in the "Dake's Annotated Reference Bible" the Hebrew word hayah in the KJV is Trans. (became) 67 times, (becamest or came to pass) 505 times, (become) 66 times, and (come to pass) 131 times, but for some reason in Genesis 1:2 it is translated (was)! That sure changes the way a person perceives the original creation of the earth, doesn't it? Gen. 1:2 And the earth was (became) without form, ... Having said that, let us continue with our "Key Knowledge" lessons. These are pamphlets containing knowledge, we believe, you must have to fully and accurately unlock and understand the Word of God.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is
come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John
16:13-14
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he
will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He
shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto
you.

Without the leading by the Holy Spirit, there is no understanding of the truths, for all the truth of the Scriptures are revealed to us by God's Spirit.
Now here is our revised study of:
.1 Corinthians
chapter 2
"Personal. Commission Carried Out
[1-5]."
"The Wisdom of God (In private) [6-16]."
Paul is reminding the Corinthians that when he came to Corinth and spoke to them of the things of God and did not use those polished speeches with their long words, but I spoke to you in every day words that you could understand. You heard what I said and you believed my words. True wisdom is the ability to take the words and phrases that are extremely complicated, and bring those thought to a level that you can understand. It is making the mysteries of God that are hidden to the world, taught as Jesus taught so that even a child could understand if they have the ears to hear.
Using the long words with complicated sentences is what one verse pastors are made of. They like to take one verse and take their words out of that verse to where they can talk for an hour about themselves, and the traditions of men. Watch out for them. Paul is telling us that he did not come to them in that manner. This is how Apollos taught, and the clique that followed Apollos love the long stories, the big words, and all the other sweetness that went along with his speeches.
I Corinthians 2:2 "For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified."
When Paul taught, he taught on all three levels of understanding all at the same time. He taught the unsaved and babes in Christ, right along with those growing in the Word of God. Paul also taught the well matured Christian that had his Spiritual armor on and in place. The focus of all of Paul's teaching was Jesus Christ, and His death, burial and resurrection. Paul is reminding them that he did not complicate the teaching I gave you, but made sure each of you understood what I was saying.
When you teach "Jesus Christ, and Him crucified", you must teach and include the who, what, when, and where, as we discussed in I Corinthians 1:23; "But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness." Who crucified Jesus, where He was crucified, when was He crucified, and what was the purpose that He willingly went to the cross. To review just a bit, lets take each of these.
The "who" looks at exactly who Jesus Christ was. He was the son of the living God, born of the virgin Mary as prophesied by God through the prophets of the Old Testament. He was the only sacrifice that our Father would accept, because his life in the flesh was pure and clean of all sin. He was God in the flesh, with all the emotions and temptations that man is subject to.
The "where" of the crucifixion had taken place in Jerusalem, on the exact location that was also prophesied by the Prophets. It took place to the day the exact time Daniel the prophet said it would happen, and that time was tied directly to the coming out of Babylon of the Jews after their captivity. This also ties the Kenites to the scene as the ones who caused the crucifixion, for the Prophets told us how they took over the positions of the scribes and the priests.
I Chronicals 2:55 "And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the hous of Rechab."
The Kenites are the ones that mixed with the Israelites way back in time of the judges, and by Solomon's time they were the wood cutters in the temple, the house of God. In Jeremiah's day they were law abiding citizens of the land of Judah, and actually went into the captivity with the house of Judah. While in Babylonian captivity these sons of Cain actually took over the Levitial priesthood to the point that when the Israelites came out of captivity there was not one Levitical priest amongst them.
Ezra 8:15 "And I [Ezra] gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the People, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi."
The return was like a wagon train in the old west of our nation. There were over forty three thousand people heading back to Jerusalem from Babylon to reestablish the temple, and the worship of God. However, when Ezra the leader of the wagon train stopped on the third day to account for the people and supplies, and behold there was not a Levitical priest amongst them. The priests were all these Nethinims [foreigners] that had taken over the priesthood. How in the world could they reestablish the sacrifices and laws of God when the very ones to carry out those sacred rites and sacrifices were long gone. They departed and left their position of priest and scribe. This is why Jesus said in Matthew 23:1, 2:
Matthew 23:1 "Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to His disciples,"
Matthew 23:2 "Saying, "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:"
Matthew 23:3 "All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not."
Jesus knew who they were, and why God allowed them to sit in the seats of the scribes and the priests, for it would be by their hand and their works that these Kenites would try Jesus and commit him to death. They played the negative role in the plan of God, to allow the sacrifice of Jesus Christ blood on the cross to take place. It would take place because it was written in his Word by the prophets of old. So this gets into the "what" part of the teaching.
"What" was the purpose of the crucifixion, and this gets back into the understanding of the three earth ages, for in the far time past, in that first earth age God created all the souls that are in existence. During that first earth age, one of the souls that was created was made greater then all the others for the purpose of serving at the very throne of God. His name was Lucifer, and in Ezekiel 28 Satan is the one called "the king of Tyrus".
Ezekiel 28:11 "Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,"
Ezekiel 28:12 "Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, 'Thus saith the Lord God.' " 'Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.' "
This is the reason that Christian's will think Satan to be Christ and worship him. For Satan will have supernatural powers, as will also many of those fallen angels that will come with him at the sixth trumpet. Revelation 12:9 "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels with him."
"Was" is used here because at the time John wrote this, he was "taken spiritually" to the time and place of day of the Lord, the time of the seventh trumpet, i.e. the Lord's return, and this had already occurred during the time he writing about, i.e. describing
Ezekiel 28:13 "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyz, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of they pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created."
When Satan was created he was made full of wisdom and perfect in beauty, and this is why many Christians will worship Satan as the true Christ when Michael casts him out onto the earth at the sixth trumpet. They will worship him thinking him to be Jesus. The reason they will worship him is that they were taught to do so by Satan's children, those Kenites through Cain, the offspring from the sexaul union between Satan and Eve, in the garden of Eden. They are the Kenites, the very ones that took over the priesthood and killed Jesus. They are the ones who are setting up the one world government at the end of this earth age that will bring the world into Satan's camp. These Kenites also are the ones that make the traditions that the church houses are teaching today.
During the first earth age Satan left his position before the throne of God when his pride took him over. When Satan fell, one third of all of God children followed him, and thus turned against God.
Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Revelation 12:4 And
his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them
to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
The twelve stars in verse 1 represent us, you and me, sons of God who were all created before the earth was ever created. The dragon in verse 4 is Lucifer. Satan.
This was the reason for the destruction of the first earth age, even in all memory of our minds as to what took place there. This is also, as described in Genesis 1:2, starts the coming into being, i.e. the creation of this second earth age, the age of the flesh man. Flesh man exists only in the second earth age.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Our Heavenly Father loved each of us, His children, and the Father did not want to destroy those of us that followed Satan in his rebellion. Now in this flesh age as each of our souls enter into the womb of its mother, sin enteres into this flesh age and the only sacrifice that God would accept is that of a perfect sinless man, but there are none. This is why God promised us a Redeemer in his Son that would be born of a virgin. The entire Old Testament is the story of the man and his family that bring this promised Christ child to birth. The prophets wrote and God told them of every detail that would surround the life's ministry and mission of that promised Messiah, who is Jesus the Christ.
What is important here is that we know that the purpose for Christ coming to earth and being crucified was so that sinful mankind in the flesh could be drawn back to God, and the sins of that repented person are blotted out before the throne of God. As you grow deeper in the Scriptures, you will come to realize that every part of the Word of God is given to us to prepare us and inform us of God's Will for our lives. When Paul taught where ever he went, he taught on all three levels, for many simply were not able to comprehend the deeper teachings of the second and third levels, but what is important is that when we teach, we should teach on the level of the person we are talking to.
When you understand who the Kenites are, and that they are the sons of Satan through Cain, then it makes sense in Revelation 2:9 and 3:9, when it identifies the only churches that are in favor with God. Revelation 2:9; "I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty (but thou art rich), and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." These are the churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia of the end times, and the thing that each of them understood is that these Kenites would come with their systems and identify themselves as being of Christ, when in fact they are of Satan, and promoting Satanic doctrine such as a Rapture or any moment doctrines, which will lead people to accept their father Satan, that beautiful evil created being, as being the True Christ.
The purpose of Christ's coming is given in Hebrews 2:14; "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil;"
Hebrews 2:15 "And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage."
I Corinthians 2:3 "And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling."
Paul is telling the Corinthians that when he was there setting up the church in Corinth, I was a man just like any other man.
I Corinthians 2:4 "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:"
Paul is saying that he did not try to work over your emotions to get you to understand what the message was. The Word that I gave you did not come from my mind, but from the Spirit and power of God. It was the Holy Spirit that lead the church at Corinth to be established.
I Corinthians 2:5 "That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."
When you are saved by the wisdom of men and teachings of men, the power of God is not there. Your faith must come from the Holy Spirit that gives you the wisdom for living your life, and when you have that wisdom you have the power of God. When your ways are in accordance with God's Word, then you will be well blessed, but if you become wise in the ways of the world, then you will fail. It is essential that you know where your power and strength comes from, and thank the Father for the strength that you receive. When you ask God for His knowledge, the Holy Spirit will open your mind and that wisdom will flow into your mind and change your life. God's Word will allow you to have control over your life.
I Corinthians 2:6 "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, not of the princes of this world, that come to nought:"
This is not talking about this earth, in and of itself, but the world age of the flesh that we are now living in. The wisdom of this world age are all those things that goes to make up what is believed to be true today. It includes evolution, the rapture, and all the theories that are considered wisdom but in reality are folly. The prince of this world age is Satan, and the men and women of this world age set their own standards as to what they consider perfect and right, even though it is completely wrong. This happens because they allow men to reason what is right and set the standards, then those standards are what the people of this world age accept as being right.
Those little "princes" that set these standards are Satan's kids, the Kenites, and they would love to dictate to you what is right and wrong, what is of God and of Satan, However they love to take the things of Satan and call it of God, and the things of God and call it of Satan. If you let these princes set your standards, and interpret your Bible for you, then you will be under their direction. This is how they took over the temple and the priesthood and scribes duties coming out of Babylon, and the end results were the crucifixion of Christ.
Your life will always be for naught, or in the wrong direction when you allow someone of the world to do your thinking for you. The Kenite's intension is to work you and treat you like "goy" which means "cattle", for that is what they think of you. It is time to wake up, and do your own study of God's Word. We must be wiser then the serpent in the ways of the world, and then you can be successful in your life. If you know they are out to defraud you through their contracts, in their interest, and their many other ways then watch out what you buy from them, and the agreements that you contract with them. When you are a child of God and follow His Word, then God will lead you in a way to avoid their traps.
When you know what is written in His Word, you can plan your life to be successful in this world. You will know what you will face because God is given us the prophecies that shall take place in our generation. We know that we are living in the final generation, because the Jews, the good and bad figs have returned to their home land in 1948, and that was the start of the final generation. Jesus told us in Matthew 24:32-34 of this very thing.
Matthew 24:32 "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:"
Live Link to> "The Parable of the Fig Tree"
Matthew 24:33 "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors."
This is not a maybe, but Jesus told His followers to learn the parable of the fig tree. That is the ability to know who the Kenites are, where they came from and what they intend to do. They will return to their home land, and when they do, these thing mentioned here shall all happen before this world flesh age come to a close. This time of the end will be discussed in detail in I Corinthians 15.
Friend, we are seeing "these things" happening each day. The Jews returned to set up their homeland in 1948, and the one world government came into power world wide back in the 60's.
Editor's note: When we refer to Jews, here, we are not talking about the ones who are actual descendants of our brother Judah, but the Kenites who have infiltrated their midst, even back to before our Lord's crucifixion.
Esau, the Russian people have fallen from their world dominance, and the borders of the world are being eliminate by international world trade agreement and peace agreement. We are seeing "these things" happening today, so know that it [the coming of Satan and his system] is just before us. Satan must come before the Lord Jesus Christ will come, because the Word of God has said that Satan would. The sixth trumpet sounds before the seventh and final trumpet. We are living in that generation.
Matthew 24:24 "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
Matthew 24:25 "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away."
There is an end coming to this world age for both heaven and earth, but every last word spoke to us through the Word of God will come to pass exactly as it is written. It is the only thing that we can count on today. You must learn the promises that God made to you before you can claim those promises for yourself.
I Corinthians 2:7 "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:"
God even foreordained the wisdom of God, before this earth age even existed. God formed it, planned it, and chose some to be His elect, and gave them a mission for their life. The elect are not chosen because of an accident or at random, but because of the stand they took in the first earth age. Each of the Elect earned it in their stand against Satan in the first earth age. This is why God said to Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 1:4 "Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,"
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
In that first earth age all souls were not in flesh bodies, but were in our spirit bodies bodies as angels have today. It was then that Satan rebelled and one third of the angels [our souls] followed Satan in rebellion. At that time in the first earth age many took a stand on God's side, and they became what is called the elect, however, like today many took no stand at all, however they also did not rebel with Satan. They are the ones of us having "free will" in this flesh age. It was in that first earth age that Paul, Jeremiah and all the others that are now of the elect used their "free will" and came to that standing before the Lord, and Paul discussed this in both Ephesians 1:4 and Romans 11:7, 8.
Ephesians 1:4 "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundations of this world [earth age], that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:"
This means that there were certain people that God chose in the first earth age to do a task for Him in this age of the flesh man. This is not reincarnation, for it is appointed for each of us to go through this earth age, the flesh earth age, once and only once. This appointing took place before the foundations of our present second earth age [cosmos] was even formed.
Ephesians 1:5 "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,"
"Predestined" means "from a prior time", or "required to do a certain thing" in the Greek. You have a choice of loving God, or loving Satan. God will not interfere with your free will choice to chose Him or Satan. However, the persons that proved themselves during the overthrow by Satan were "justified" in that first earth age and earned the right then to be called "saints". Each soul, pre-existing soul, comes from God, in turn, and enters the embryo at conception. This is why both Jeremiah and Paul and anyone of the elect [chosen] were known by God before they even entered into the embryo in their mothers womb.
"Sanctified thee" means that this person was "set aside, or apart for a certain purpose". Their sins still have to be repented and the price of the blood of Christ still hast to be paid, but the Spirit of God will work in their lives to cause them to do that purpose that God intends them to do.
Paul's "will" first was to kill and beat up on Christians, and take them prisoners, however God struck Paul down on that road to Damascus and changed Paul's life to fit the "will" that God had for his life, and he became the leader of the Christian world.
Romans 11:7 "What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded" (continued into the next verse.)
Romans 11:8 "(According as it is written, "God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear). unto this day."
The elect will see the mysteries of God, while the others will not see because they have the spirit of slumber on them. God is not a respecter of persons not does he have favorites among men. The elect were judged in that first earth age because they have already made a stand against Satan, and God can interject into their life when ever He so chooses. The "elect" though must also pass through this age of the flesh. They must be born from "above" [again], and in the birthing water sack like all babes in the flesh are born, and by faith repent to the Father in Jesus name for their sins. There are some souls of the first earth age who did not come to earth through the womb, as we read of in Jude 1-6, and they are set aside for judgment along with Satan.
Editor's note:They are the reason for Noah's flood! Live Link to-Noah's Flood
Revelation 3:11 "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown."
Revelation 3:12 "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the Temple of My God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My god, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from My God: and I will write upon him My new name."
These words are directed to the members of the church of Smyrna and Philadelphia, the two churches that knew who the Kenites were, and what they taught. They knew those that claimed to be Jews or of God, and were not, but were of the synagogue of Satan. They understood the "song of Moses" from Deuteronomy 32:1-43, and they were not deceived by all the lies and deception that is going on today, and will reach its peak when Satan arrives here on earth. This is that hidden mystery that Paul is speaking of.
Peter spoke of this "hidden mystery" also in II Peter 3:10; "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
II Peter 3:15 "And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given unto him, hath written unto you."
God is very patient and is long suffering because He desires everyone to have the opportunity to hear the Word of God and come to salvation. Peter is saying that Paul also gave an account of these things that I am speaking of, and He wrote them in his letters epistles of wisdom to you, given by God. He is telling you and I to wake up and pay attention to what Paul wrote.
II Peter 3:16 "As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction."
Peter is giving credibility here to the letters to the Corinthians also, and it is our duty to study to learn exactly what Paul is telling us, even though it may be hard to understand and follow those instruction. Those that do not study to learn, become unstable and wrestle with the Word of God. They do it to their own destruction. If you want to fight against God then it is you that will lose. If you don't have the eyes to see, these things will be hard to understand, as will the rest of the Scriptures.
Paul wrote of all the mysteries of God, and for us to understand those mysteries we need not to be super-intelligent, but we must love Christ, and have His Spirit reveal those hidden meaning to us. If a crime has taken place and there are no seeable clues to solving that crime, all the intelligence in the world won't help solve that crime, however if you witnessed that crime then there is no mystery to it. It is fact and the truth is known. If the Spirit of God reveals the truths of the Scripture to you then you become the witness, and there are no hidden mysteries, but to the lazy and those seeking to dispute with God, it is all a mystery, because he is blind.
The devil planted his own seed in this world age, and the entire church world seeks to disregard this event, and blind themselves to Satan's children, the Kenties, and it is to the Christian's own destruction when they turn their backs to this mystery.
I Corinthians 2:8 "Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
This is the mystery that was even hidden from the Kenites, the "princes of this world", for if they had known of the purpose of the crucifixion of Christ, they would not have sought to kill Jesus, but they would have sought to make Him a King to die a normal life. You see the moment that they crucified Jesus, they brought about the death of Satan and their own death. They wrote their own death sentence and pronounced it on their own soul. This sentence is written in Hebrews 2:14, and it was given two times above. Christ came to die on the cross, for in dying on the cross He defeats the devil. In other words, the Kenites committed their own spiritual suicide. If they would have know that in Christ sacrifical death on the cross, Christ had defeated their father Satan, they would not have done it.
The Kenites never thought about the fraud and crookedness that is part of this world age, but by their murder of Jesus Christ they fulfilled the negative part of the plan of God. Knowing this is the "Key of David", and that is what the "song of Moses" is all about; knowing these Kenites and who they are, for in that knowledge is our victory. If the Kenites had known that in their evil act they would have given us the victory, they would never have gone through with the murder. This is the most stupid thing that Satan and his kids have ever done, its like shooting themselves in the foot.
God prepared for us all of the inheritance that is waiting for us and promised in his Word, because He love each of us. Paul is reminding us that this message is not something new that was revealed just to him, but God revealed to the prophets of old. Isaiah tells us that it was revealed way back in the beginning of mankind in this world age.
Isaiah 64:1 "Oh that Thou wouldest rend the heavens, that Thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at Thy presence,"
Oh that Thou would return to us Father, and that Thou would make thy name know to thy adversaries.
Isaiah 64:2 "As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make Thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!"
We don't tremble at the presence of God, because we love Him and He careth for us. It is those that seek to be God's adversaries that shall tremble at the presence of Jesus Christ at His return.
Isaiah 64:3 "When Thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, Thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at Thy presence."
This speaks of the destruction of the first earth age, that took place between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. So now we have the verse that Paul was referring to in I Corinthians 2:9.
Isaiah 64:4 "For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside Thee, what He hath prepared for him that waiteth for Him."
Paul is reminding us of what Isaiah wrote concerning those souls that have the patience to wait upon the Lord's return. This is written to our generation in both cases, for many that call themselves of Christ, will not have the patience to wait upon the Lord, and they will be taken in the wrong marriage. They will give themselves in ignorance to the false Christ, thinking he is the Messiah. If you are prepared to wait on Him, our Father has prepared for each of his bride mansions and rewards that are unspeakable to the human mind, for there is simply nothing on earth to compare it to.
Included in these mansions are peace of mind, satisfaction, pleasures, contentment, and a wealth that we simply cannot comprehend. A small part of this gift is available to you and I today, when we are part of the bride of Christ.
Isaiah 64:5 "Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember Thee in Thy ways: behold, Thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved."
This perversion that started way back in the first earth age, goes right on today. Even with all this going on, God is only angry at those that have turned their backs to Him. But He is not angry at you when you repent to Him in Jesus name for the sins that are in your life. When you are one of His then you do the work of righteousness in your life, and you try to please Him. Your ways are God's ways, and not the ways of the devil.
Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
If you allow your sins to carry you away, that is exactly what will happen. Your spiritual man has to take control over your flesh body, for if it goes unchecked our works will all become a filthy rags, worthless.
As the chapter goes on we read how God has prepared this beautiful place of rest right here on earth for those that will just reach out and take it by faith, in the repentance for their sins. Though it is beautiful in this life now, it simply cannot be compared to what God has in store for us in the future, in the Millennium age. This is why Paul wanted us to go back to Isaiah and read it for ourselves. Paul made the suggestion, and he knew that you would go there and carry the thought through.
I Corinthians 2:10 "But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."
It is through the Holy Spirit that each of these hidden truths are revealed to those that seek the truth. It is the Holy Spirit that unlocks those Scriptures and allows your mind to comprehend their meaning. It takes the ancient writings and makes them jump to life and become a reality in your mind even today.
I Corinthians 2:11 "For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God."
Paul is asking you, "Can you read another man's mind?" You may think you can, but you can't. However if that man reveals those things to you, then you can understand what he is thinking. The only way that any man can understand the mind of God is when the Holy Spirit reveals those thoughts to you. When God's Spirit, the Holy Spirit is dwelling within you, then His Spirit is guiding and revealing those truths to your spirit. God can always know your thoughts as you are thinking them, however Satan can only know what you are thinking when you speak and reveal your thoughts to others. Satan cannot read your mind until your speak it though your mouth, or write it down externally.
I Corinthians 2:12 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God."
The spirit of this earth age, is Satan's evil spirits, and the Spirit of God is the Holy Spirit. It is through the Spirit of God that we have the key that opens the door to the understanding of His entire Word. It is only after you study God's Word and follow those instruction written therein, that you will come to find true peace of mind. When you allow the Holy Spirit to work in your mind, God will fill all the corners of your mind with all sorts of good truths that will help you in your everyday life today. God freely gives it to us, because He finds pleasure in your success.
I Corinthians 2:13 "Which thing also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."
The Holy Spirit will interpret [comparing] the spiritual things with the spiritual. God will give you the absolutes of what and how you should base your interpretation of His Word. It is through the Holy Spirit that the spiritual matters of the Scripture are unlocked to you personally, and test those spirits to see if they are of God or of man's wisdom [traditions of men]. The Holy spirit gives us the discernment to tell if what someone is saying comes from the Father, or from their own mind.
I Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
Paul is simply telling us that the natural man, without the Holy Spirit of God cannot understand any of the things that are of God. Those things that require spiritual discernment are closed to him, and will be just foolishness to him because his spiritual eyes are closed. You can talk all day long, and you might as well talk to the wall for that is how much spiritual discernment will be in his mind.
Those that have sat in a church house for many years and still don't know the most simple truths of God's Word, simply do not have spiritual discernment. They do not have the Holy Spirit of God in them, nor will they allow God to direct their lives. They are nothing but a slab of meat laying on Satan's butcher counter, waiting for the slaughter. They are the ones that will be taken right off the bat when Satan comes at the sixth trumpet.
These are the ones that take the young and break them into Satan's service before they even reach maturity. They represent the things of Satan and being alright and in line with God's teaching, when in fact God hates the very act. We are talking of drugs, Sodomy, and even the rapture theory, which will lead God children right to Satan.
Ezekiel 13:18 "And say, 'Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the Women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every statue to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of My People, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you'?"
In this verse the "women" are the false prophets; the "pillows" are their false doctrines; while the "statue" is the "high places" that these false doctrines are being taught from. When they "hunt souls" they are asking, "Are you saved?" when the person has no idea what they are talking about. This is quite common in the church world today.
What God is saying is Woe to those women [or those that call themselves the bride of Christ], that fabricate false prophecies [make kerchiefs]. In doing this they are covering over the saving hands of Almighty God that reaches out to each soul. This is a matter of whether each soul is with God or against Him. However the real work of God is covered, because of these so-called religious divine utterance did not come from God, but the mind of these false prophets.
These "pillows" or false divine doctrine cover over the truths of God's saving hands, and gives its listener a false security to the new spiritual born soul. The person will come to rely on a fairy-tale rather then seeking the real truth from God Word. In doing so, this new Christian does not prepare himself for the false Christ that will come prior to the True Messiah.
Ezekiel 13:19 "And will ye pollute Me among My People for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to My People that hear your lies?"
This is what God is instructing us to say to those that are teaching/preaching these false doctrines.
God is asking; are you going to pollute My Word for money [barley] and for the taking vows [bread]? Are you going to pollute the Word of God because of your budget, or pension fund, or anything that causes you to peddle something you know to be a lie? The "Souls that should not die" are those dear Christians that are searching for the truth in the Scripture, and these false prophets [ministers and teachers] lie to them about the Word and lead them astray for the sake of money, attendance, their pension fund or any other earthly matter.
In the other cases these same false prophets are telling those souls that are to be saved that salvation is theirs, when God did not save them, because they were not taught what true repentence is. They are creating a form of salvation that goes against God's Word, and making people believe they are saved, when they in fact are not.
Some of these lies are like: "You don't need to study the book of Revelation." "We are going to have world peace and bring in the brotherhood of mankind." They say things that go against what God's Word teaches. There will be no world peace until Christ comes for the Millennium age. And the Book of Revelation is a requirement of understanding to prepare you for the spiritual battle that is coming in our generation. You will either know it, or you will be taken away in Satan's lies.
Ezekiel 13:20 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; 'Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.' "
This is prophesied to the time of the end, for the very thought of the fly-away doctrine never came into effect until May 1830 when a mentally ill woman, Margaret Macdonald had her nightmare and revealed it to others. Ministers trying to make a name for themselves took that evil vision and built their rapture theory around it to create what we call "any moment doctrine". God is telling you that He does not like your "pillows" [doctrines] that you create to hunt the souls of His children to make them accept your fly-away doctrine. The time is coming when you will be held accountable for teaching such a lie.
Ezekiel 13:21 "Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver My People out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the Lord."
Why does God keep saying, "and ye shall know that I am the Lord."? Because you keep mixing up the false messiah with Him. I hope you can understand now why the Rapture doctrine [the fly-away theory] is just as evil as Sodomy, and drugs in the eyes of God, for it prepares the soul to be taken directly by the first christ [Satan] that comes at the sixth trumpet. The flesh age and the death of the flesh is very temporary for at death of the body the soul returns to the Father, but the death of the soul is forever. Chasing after the false christ is spiritual suicide, even if it is in ignorance.
There are many that think they are teaching the Word of God, however they are giving out nothing but the traditions of men. They lack spiritual discernment, and they will be judged with a double portion at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then they will receive their just rewards in the lake of fire, if they refuse to repent for the wickedness of their teaching, after the great white throne judgment..
I Corinthians 2:15 "But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man."
If you are Spiritual, you can discern whether something is right or wrong. It is not a matter of you judging something, for when you discern something by the leading of the Holy Spirit you know that it is right. If the Spirit of God puts doubt in your mind and shows you that something is not in accordance with God's Word, common sense tells you to stay away from it. This is saying that when you stay within God's Word, then no man can prove you wrong. It simply doesn't matter what they say, what they do, or how they debate with you, you are correct when it goes according to God's Word.
I Corinthians 2:16 "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ."
The mind of Christ is what Jesus thought and taught as He walked on this earth, and those things are what we have directing our minds. Though we do not have all of the knowledge of Jesus, we do have the spiritual discernment that His Spirit gives us when we believe on His name and have repented of our sins. When you ask for discernment He will give it to you. That discernment gives us the knowledge to know what is right and what is wrong, as it is pointed out to us through His Word.
That discernment is "the key that opens the door that
no man can close, and shuts the door that no man that is perverted can open." It
is there for all those that use common sense and love their heavenly Father. As
we continue through this letter to the Corinthian church, remember that Paul was
an authority on the Old Testament prophets, and Jesus Christ personally struck
him down and caused him to completely change direction, to where he became the
foremost writer of what we call the New Testament. He was led by the Holy Spirit
to write the set of instructions that we now use to give direction for our
lives.
