JeremiahRevelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is
come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John
16:13-14
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he
will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [14] He
shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto
you.

Without the leading by the Holy Spirit, there is no understanding of the truths, for all the truth of the Scriptures are revealed to us by God's Spirit.
Now here is our revised study ofJeremiah
Chapter 14
"Rejection, False Prophets, (Division)."
This chapter will still be using symbolism, only in this chapter we are going to be talking about a drought. In that it is symbolism, lets try to understand what the fall-out from a drought is like. The fall out of the drought is famine and thirst. Now apply the famine to this generation, as talked about in the book of Revelation, and the book of Amos.
The famine was to be for the hearing of the truth of God's Word. Amos 8:11 tells us; "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:" The Word of the Lord, is the same truth that we talked about in Jeremiah 13, that belt or girdle that you gird yourself with being part of the armor of God, and it is God's Word, or Bible. So God is showing us again how important it is to listen to His Word, and not to man's imaginations.
When we are to have God's Word in our minds, it doesn't mean from memory, but you must know the flow of the plan of God; from Genesis to Revelation. That gives you wisdom and knowledge, and you will see God's love increased.
Jeremiah 14:1 "The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth."
dearth
1226 batstsoreth
(bats-tso'-reth);
feminine intensive from 1219; restraint (of rain), i.e.
drought:
KJV-- dearth, drought.
Again, this is the drought of truth.
Jeremiah 14:2 "Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up."
Judah is the country at large, and Jerusalem is the city, both are crying out because of the drought. This is like it shall become in this final generation. There is a problem concerning this for our current generation, if God causes this famine for the Word to come, then you might begin calling out to a different God.
You see, in our generation, there will be two supernatural beings coming to earth and both will claim to be the Son of God, however one will be a fake. If you don't know the difference, you shall pray and worship the first one who is the wrong one. That first one is Satan and the second is Jesus, but Satan will come first posing as the true Christ.
Remember that what happened, physically, to the House of Judah, when Babylon took her captive, is a type of what is going to happen to us, spiritually, in our generation. Paul talked about this in I Corinthians 10:11; "Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come." You and I are living in that time of the ends of this world age, and the events written in the Old Testament, are ensamples, or types of how it shall be in our life time. That is why what happened in Jeremiah's day is important to what we shall, and are facing now.
This is why it is important to absorb the meat of God's Word, because if you don't, you will become confused. Then if you are not careful, you will cry out to the wrong person, to the spurious messiah, who is Satan.
There were two droughts in the time of the siege of Jerusalem, and there were three sieges all together. Jerusalem fell in the third siege to Nebuchadnezzar, however the droughts came before the first and the third siege of Jerusalem.
Now in the prophetic sense, in as much as the drought came before the siege, it made it that much easier for the false ones to peddle their doctrines. If you have a lack of knowledge concerning our Heavenly Father's plan, it makes it much easier to be deceived when our end time siege comes. When Satan and his little false angels are cast out on this earth, as recorded in Revelation 12:7-9, it will make it that much easier for the ignorant in God's Word to go to him.
Revelation 12:7,- 9 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, " [7] "And prevailed not, neither was there place found any more in heaven." [8] "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." [9]
So don't let the drought of famine catch up with you, and when you cry out when it comes, know who you are crying out to.
Jeremiah 14:3 "And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads."
The wealthy nobles sent their slaves to get water from the wells. They even dug in the pits and found no water. This reminds us of the lady that came Jacob's well, and Jesus was sitting there when she arrived. After Jesus revealed to her what was in her past, He told her, as recorded in John 4:13, 14; "Jesus answered and said unto her, "Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:" [13] "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." [14]
If you absorb the truth, with the symbolism of this chapter, you will never thirst again, because His Word will be sealed in your mind.
Jeremiah 14:4 "Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads."
The earth was so dry and cracked that it was useless to plant the seed. There would be no germination, sprouting of crops, nor food coming from the seed, so why would they plant. There was no food anywhere to be had.
Jeremiah 14:5 "Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass."
Even the hind, or deer in the field left its young, left it to die, because there was no grass to feed upon, nor milk in her to feed the calf.
Jeremiah 14:6 "And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass."
The wild asses were panting like the Jackals, sniffing into the wind to try to get the scent of some grass, but the pastures were dry and scorched. It was so dry that their eyes were glazed over.
We say that the slaves went to get the water, and there was none, the deer in the field had nothing to eat because there was no grass and even the wild ass acted like a jackal, unlike his normal instincts, because there was no grass. So, spiritually, who is responsible for the grass in the pastures? It is our Christian pastors, the ministers and teachers. They are in charge of the pastures where we, our Lord's lost sheep graze. So the symbology works very well in this, and remember what God said about the pastors in Jeremiah 12:10; this is what has brought on the drought for truth.
Jeremiah 12:10 "Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness."
The reason there was no pasture is because the pastors substituted traditions of men for the truth of God's Word.
Jeremiah 14:7 "O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee."
Though the pastors are pleading, we have sinned, now give us restitution for your Name's sake. The prophets are giving out a prayer to God here.
Jeremiah 14:8 "O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?"
Now all these false prophets are crying out to God, when they are hurting, and there is no food. We are crying out to you, yet you are acting like a stranger to us. You are acting like a man that is not of us, but you are acting like a traveller just passing through.
My fellow Cheistian, God is always with us when we have the true water of His Word in our heart. God is not like a sojourner to His own people. Notice that this turning away from those false prophets was because they turned away from Him. When the trouble comes, they will always scream and cry, but that kind of religion God just ignores. Their crys are in desperation only, not being a believer, nor having the truth, they will return to the same old religious forms when the good times come back.
Jeremiah 14:9 "Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not."
They are asking God, why are you acting that way, save us Lord. "Called" shows ownership, we are your children, and you are in the midst of us, don't leave us.
Jeremiah 14:10 "Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins."
God is answering them here. God is telling them that He is going to remember what they are asking, but He is also going to remember all their sins, and repay them in a way that they are not asking for. This does have a twofold meaning, it applies first to their wondering away from God's covenant at that time, but it also applies to the prophetic sense to this generation. It is directed to the ten tribes that wandered to the north, and became scattered throughout the world, and forgot who they are. God didn't lose them, they lost themselves, God knows exactly where they are.
Editor's Note: Remember as you read this study, or any place in the Bible;
#1. When the talk is about the ancient "House of Israel", it is the ten tribes of Israelites who made up that northern kingdom house or nation and have since their dispersement by Assyria in 745-721 B.C., migrated on to the west and have become the Christian nations of our 21st. century.
#2. When the talk is about the ancient "House of Judah", it is the two tribes of Israelites, Judah and Benjamin, who made up that southern kingdom house or nation and have since, after mixing with the Kenites, i.e. descendants of Cain during their Babylonian captivity in 586 B.C., become the Jewish peoples of our 21st. century, now calling themselves, not Israelites but Israelis, many of whom in 1948 moved back to the middle east and with the help of England organized into the new country called Israel today, which was then recognized by the United States and three days later Russia,
In the wanderings, our people have a habbit of getting caught up in what they are doing, and taking their eyes off our Heavenly Father.
Jeremiah 14:11 "Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good."
God is telling Jeremiah, don't ask me for their good. Why? Because God still has to do His correcting in you. You won't clean up your own mind and get into the truth, but you like to keep that dirty old girdle [false truth] on, in your mind, and you aren't ready to [Ephesians 6:14] "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;" This is using the analogy used in the prior chapter.
God is saying, don't ask me for anything for them, I want to get rid of them. Don't try to intercede for them. A good prophet will try anyway. God wants nothing to do with them, and they can't understand why God won't answer their prayers, when they don't turn to Him until the drought comes.
Jeremiah 14:12 "When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence."
When they do something very religious to get my attention, I just won't listen to them. The burnt offering is the gift offering and the oblation is the meal offering, God said that when they offer these, He will not accept them. Christian, your offerings and your taking the Communion when the truth of God's Word is not in your heart, is not accepted by God. God has kept his word on this promise, for there is a famine for the truth in our generation. We have a church house on every corner, yet there are so very few that teach God's Word with understanding.
We are to worship every day, for Christ is our Passover, and our Sabbath, and we are never to be without Him. But the people have turned their backs on God in their daily lives, and because of this, God is saying He wants them out of His sight. The time is coming when many will come to Jesus saying, "I healed in your name, and I cast out demons in your name." Jesus response to them will be, " Get out of my sight, I know you not."
Jeremiah 14:13 "Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place."
The prophet is answering, "God you don't know why these people go to that church, but their prophets are telling them, you are not going into the captivity, don't worry about it." You will not be here when Revelation comes to pass, and the false-christ, Satan, and his angels come to earth. And in Jeremiah's day they were told exactly the same thing about king Nebuchadnezzar, and the Babylonians coming to take them captive, when God warned them that it shall come to pass. How can you blame the people when their preachers are telling them those lies.
My fellow Christian, what happened in Jeremiah's day is a type of what will happen at the time of the end of this earth age. You are living in that time of the end, and your pastors are telling you the exact same thing. Jeremiah was pleading your cause, just as he pleaded for those in Jerusalem 2500 years ago, and the results are the same. If you are living in this generation, you will see the time of the captivity of the false-christ, however he can't harm you when you have the truth of God's Word sealed away in your mind.
Why? Because you know exactly what is going to happen, and you know that the supernatural power you see while in your flesh body is the fake. God gave Satan all his powers to deceive those who don't study and; therefore. don't know, and they accept it because they do not know better. You know that the deception is very temporary, only five months [Revelation 9:5] and then this earth age of the flesh will be over. Satan's gifts and pleasures are just not worth the price of your eternal soul.
Jeremiah 14:14 "Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart."
God is telling us that He didn't send those false prophets that stand behind their pulpits and preach things that are against My Word. They stand there and say, God called me to preach, when God said absolutely nothing to them. They stand there and spout off their own sayings, and the traditions of men, and say that it is from God.
The false vision and divination is a revelation. What do most of the preachers of today tell you of the book of Revelation? They say, "You don't have to understand Revelation, you are going to be gone up into the air, and with the Father". That is a lie, and shows their ignorance of God's Word. It is the deceit that they preach from their own mind, or some other man's mind. That is the preacher's escape hatch, out the back door, when the enemy is at the front door, however, there is no back door, nor escaping for what God has said in His Word shall come to pass.
Jeremiah 14:15 "Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed."
This applies to any preacher, priest, prophet or teacher that teaches something that is not true, but teaches some type of escape, such as a rapture doctrine that takes your mind off what God says shall come to pass. Their destruction will come by the same thing that they are teaching. If they are teaching the fly away doctrine, then they will be destroyed by that doctrine. God will allow them to believe their own lies, and those lies shall consume them.
If they are a fake, then they will name their own poison. To one group that worships angels, the fallen angels will decieve them, to another group or teacher it may be spirits, and evil spirits that shall cause them to be consumed in destruction. They will get back what they have pronounced against their so called enemies. What they judge on others will be judged back on them. God is going to allow each of those false pastors to choose the path for themselves that they shall be deceived by, if they don't want to believe in all of His Word.
Jeremiah 14:16 "And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them."
The wickedness is not brought on by God, but it is the consequences of their own sin, and lies and false teachings. What it is saying, in the prophetic sense, is that there is going to be so many spiritually dead that there will not be enough left to bury them. At the arrival of Satan, the false-christ, there will be such a large rush to Satan in ignorance, there will be no one left. They will all go to him, they, their wives, and children will all rush to be part of Satan's religious family.
Jeremiah 14:17 "Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow."
These virgin daughtesr of God, that thought they were saving themselves for the true Christ, will fiind that many of them also will have been taken by this grievious blow of the false Christ. We are living in a generation where most of the so-called believers are being misled into worshipping the false messiah, Satan, when he comes to earth claiming to be Jesus. They are the fly-away babies. It is real sad.
To hear many of these so called scholars teach the book of Revelation, is a joke. It is a real comedy show, if it wasn't for the fact that those listening to their trot are going to stake their spiritual life on those lies. That is what makes it sad and brings the tears. God is not pleased with anyone that covers up His truths, and puts pillows over His outstretched arms, as they teach His people to fly. Ezekiel 13:20 - 23 deals with God's position on this.
Ezekiel 13:20 " Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly."
Your pillows are your false doctrines, and false hopes in a fly-away rapture that is promised - but will never come! It is not written in God's Word.
Ezekiel 13:21 "Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD."
Those kerchiefs are all those other things that you claim that God said, when He did not, but they were used to mislead God's people. The time is coming when it all shall be accountable for, before the Lord.
Ezekiel 13:22 "Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:"
Ezekiel 13:23 "Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD."
My fellow Christian, Are you starting to get the picture? God doesn't like it when you say, He says something that He did not say. There are some good teachers, and you better thank God if you are studying under one. Without the true Word in their minds, the virgin daughter (Christian) will not be a virgin, in a spiritual sense, when the true Christ returns.
Paul talked about this in II Corinthians 11:1-3; he said I want to talk to you real seriously, because I want to present you to Christ as a chaste virgin, not as Eve, who was totally seduced by Satan. The word "beguiled" is "exapatao" in the Greek manuscripts, which means "wholly suduced". It means that she was no longer a virgin, she was deceived by Satan. Paul makes it very clear that Satan himself will be disguised as an angel of light.
II Corinthians 11:14, 15 "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed [disguised] into aan angel of light." [14] "Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." [15]
Satan will come to this earth and perform these deeds of lies and deception. The prophets of old told us over and over that this will take place, and even Jesus warned us that it would take place, and that we should "take heed that no man deceive you." Now we sit back and watch the so-called church of today rush to be lifted out, but in their rush, they will rush right into this arms of the false angel of light, Satan, and lose their virginity before the Lord.
Jeremiah 14:18 "If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not."
As the great deception is going forth today, the prophets and the priests, the ministers and the teachers are going on about their business of preparing their flocks for the deception. It is what they were un-knowingly taught to do, in their seminaries. They are bringing the famine upon the people, and causing their flocks to starve. It is all in ignorance, for not only do the people not know, but the pastors are just as ignorant as the flocks. The pastors are not giving the green grass [truth of God's Word] to feed the flock because they have no grass to give.
Our nation is falling apart, with crime in the streets, the jobs leaving our shores by the millions, killings, abortions on the rise, Sodomy, our military dwindling, rivers and streams being polluted, on and on, yet in the church houses the same old false doctrines and traditions go on. The preachers don't know the difference, nor do they care, while the offering plate is being tended to.
My fellow Christian, it is time to get back to revival, by repenting in Jesus name, and get back into God's Word, all of it, book by book, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. It is time to ask, where are we going wrong, and take a close look at what is being taught in our church houses. When it is not supported by God, they need to throw it out, and teach what is right.
Jeremiah 14:19 "Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!"
Jeremiah the prophet now asks God; we are getting into the time of Jacob's trouble when the whole world will look for peace, yet there will be no peace. Christian, look around you, and see that which is prophecy is coming to pass. It is before our eyes now.
Jeremiah 14:20 "We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee."
The elect of God can say these things that the prophet is speaking, because they know the signs of the times, and understand that they need repentance, or in the process of doing so.
Jeremiah 14:21 "Do not abhor us, for thy name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us."
Don't hate us Lord, for Christian's sake, he is asking. And don't worry, God will not break His covenant with those that are His, and follow His Word. While all this grief is going on, to God's elect, they are in the only peace that there truly is.
Jeremiah 14:22 "Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things."
The vanities of the Gentiles, are the emptiness, and falseness in their religious practices and traditions. Jeremiah is asking are there any of these traditions and false doctrines, that can cause rain? No. There is no idol that can cause it to rain, nor false tradition, nor prayer to any heathen god, that can cause it to rain. Only God can cause it to rain, and the famine to go away. There is no star or planet in the heavens that can make any rain to fall. God created both the heaven and the earth, He created the stars, and only He can make it rain. He even made the little stick of wood that they made their god out of.
We can only go to God in prayer, and this is why the chapter is titled "intercession", for we should be worshiping Him instead of any part of His creation.
It is time to turn your problems over to Him, and wait upon the Lord to lead you, from His Word.
