The Book of Isaiah
Chapter 19

The events that are unfolding before our very eyes in this final generation of the fig tree (Matthew 24:32-34) are happening exactly as they are written in our Father's Word. And each day as we witness more and more of those prophecies come to pass, our faith is strengthened in the certitude of His Word, knowing full well that those things written that must yet come to pass, surely shall come to pass. To that end, it is written that the false messiah, the false king, Satan himself, shall appear at the sound of the 6th Trump before the coming of the true Messiah at the sound of the 7th Trump, and that wicked one shall subdue all nations and cause the earth to become a spiritual desolation through his abominations... because the world will believe that he is God.

Nevertheless, though that abomination of (spiritual) desolation shall come upon the land, even as the Assyrian we have been reading about here in Isaiah set forth an historical physical type to give us a "visual to see", those who do have eyes to see and ears to hear know that he is actually sent by our Father who is in complete control and has all power in both heaven and earth. They also know why He sends the Assyrian and that there is a positive outcome to His wondrous plan... which is to bring about "His salvation" to all people. Remember that is what the name "Isaiah" means, "Yahveh's Salvation".

It is also written that before Jesus Christ returns that the "gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14)." The point is that there is only one King of kings and Lord of lords and as it is written, He shall come and smite the nations (Rev. 19:15) and establish His ruling kingdom upon Mount Zion, and all nations shall flow unto the City of Righteousness that we shall read about in this study. Furthermore, our Father has already given fair warning and admonition to the nations of the world through His servants the prophets, like Isaiah, who now gives His oracle to Egypt in this 19th chapter.

Egypt holds a special place not only in the history of the world as perhaps the oldest continuous nation, but also in relation to God's people Israel in that Egypt once held them in bondage. In fact, it "was spoken of the Lord by the prophet (Hosea, meaning "salvation"), saying, Out of Egypt I have called my son", which of course is why Mary and Joseph departed into Egypt with the young Christ child (Mat. 2:14).

Hosea 11:1
When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
Not only was what took place when the young child went into Egypt done to bring about a fulfillment of prophecy concerning the Messiah, it is also reminder to us of the love our Father had for His son, Israel, in his youth during the days of bondage and captivity in Egypt. Remember He sent His servant Moses unto Pharaoh to say the following:
Exodus 4:22-23
And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

[23] And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

Of course Pharaoh refused to let His son (Israel) go because God hardened his heart and so it came to pass that God did slay the firstborn in the land of Egypt and then called Israel out of Egypt with a mighty hand. You "see", it was by the slaying of the firstborn that freedom was purchased. Freedom comes with an awesome price. Many of our own sons and daughters have shed their blood to keep our nation free! Jesus Christ shed His precious innocent blood that we might be set free from the bondage of sin and the penalty of death!

So as we read about the burden of Egypt, the land wherein lies the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Bible in Stone, let us keep in mind that God loves all of His children, and that Jesus Christ paid the price so that whosoever will come to believe in Him can have eternal life (John 3:16). Keep in mind also that when Egypt is spoken of it concerns the sons of Ishmael, Abraham's son by the bondwoman Hagar, who were divided into twelve dynasties and now possess the lands of Lebanon, and Syria, and Iraq, etc.

Isaiah 19:1
The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at His presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
When our Father takes action, He doesn't mess around. When He executes judgment, it is swift and to the point and His judgment is always fair and equitable because "all His ways are just (right) and true (Deut. 32:4. Rev. 15:3)". That means if you have blessings coming your way, that is what you shall receive, i.e. blessings, but if have corrective or penal judgment coming your way, then you shall also get what is coming to you... because you "earned" it! The simple fact is that you reap what you sow. Therefore if you have sown to the wind, then you shall reap a whirlwind (Hos. 8:7), which is a tempest of God's fury.

You "see", the idols of Egypt are all gods that are no gods and they include not only the gods of gold and silver, i.e. material things, but also "the idols, the charmers, those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards" spoken of in Isaiah 19:3 below. Furthermore, we have the historical record and type from the days of Moses when our Father poured out the plagues upon the land Egypt to document that none of the gods of Egypt could deliver them from His judgment. THAT, i.e. that their gods could not deliver them, was the purpose of the exercise... to show the Egyptians that their "gods are no gods" and that the LORD, the great I AM THAT I AM, the God of Israel, IS God and there is none other!

In other words, the LORD turned the false gods and idols of the Egyptians against those who worshipped them when He brought forth the plagues upon the land as judgment. Again, He did this not just for the sake of the children of Israel, but also for the good of the Egyptians that they SHALL come to KNOW that their gods are not God, that there is only one LORD! Remember He even hardened Pharaoh's heart to multiply His signs and wonders in the land, lest Pharaoh let the Israelites go at the first great miracle.

Exodus 7:3
And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.
Our Father is in as complete control of world events today as He was in the days of Pharaoh whom God raised up and whom He used to fulfill His great purpose! Romans 9:17 "For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
[4] But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.
Note: A study of Egyptian life reveals that they had many gods and goddesses and many sacred objects of worship including the Nile River itself and creatures of nature such as cattle and rams (seen on their headgear) and even frogs, the evidence of which can be seen in the archeological discoveries which reveal amulets in the form of frogs. But Heqt, the frog-headed goddess was not able to help them when the frogs came upon the land, and the gods of agriculture, Isis and Seth, were helpless to save their crops, and the god of the Nile could not turn back the bloody waters. These gods and idols of the Egyptians all turned against them and became a "taunting proverb (Hab. 2:6)" against them to know that none but the God of Israel could relieve their tribulations. And so it is that there was two-fold purpose in the "great judgments" upon the land of Egypt. Remember also that they were a type, "an ensample, for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come (1 Cor. 10:11)".

This next verse also declares the reasons for His judgments:

[5] And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
Remember again from Isaiah 14:32 what the proclamation to the messengers of the nations is in these last days! "The LORD has established Zion, and the poor of His people shall trust in it!" Egypt and all the other nations of the world are going to come to know there is only ONE God... and He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob... the God of Israel!

Let us now continue with the burden or oracle to Egypt. Thus saith the LORD...

Isaiah 19:2
And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.
This not only means that the Egyptians, et. al. the nations of Ishmael, the Arab nations, shall fight among themselves and against each other, which they do even this day, but it means that Egypt will be in a state of confusion in these last days when God pours out His judgments. Jesus Christ foretold us that there would be "distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring". This begins when the Beast of Rev. 13:1, the one-world political system, rises up out of the sea (of people) and breaks and consumes all nations.
Luke 21:25
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

distress, sunoche, soon-okh-ay', Greek 4928; from Greek 4912 (sunecho); restraint, i.e. (figurative) anxiety:- anguish, distress.

perplexity, aporia, ap-or-ee'-a, Greek 640; from the same as Greek 639 (aporeo); a (state of) quandary :- perplexity.

Welcome to the New World Order... Babylon the Great! The word Baby-lon (babel-land) comes from the Hebrew word "babel" which means "confusion". And so it is that the world is, and shall yet become even more so, in a state of quandary, a state of spiritual confusion... Babylon the Great!
Babel, baw-bel', Hebrew 894; from Hebrew 1101 (balal); confusion; Babel (i.e. Babylon), including Babylonia and the Babylonian empire :- Babel, Babylon.
Shall Egypt look to the Zion the LORD has established and escape the hand of the cruel lord Satan, who comes as the spurious messiah, or shall she once again look to her gods to save her? Well, the answer is already contained in the historical type... but here it is again.
Isaiah 19:3
And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.
Their gods in whom they trust will once again be destroyed by the judgment of the God of Israel upon the land of Egypt. And the counsel of their so-called wise men who are filled with the counsel of stupidity (antiwisdom) and familiar spirits rather than knowledge of the ways of the LORD, shall likewise melt with fervent heat (2 Peter 3:10) and be consumed with the fire of His truth when He establishes Zion following the reign of the false-christ. What does the Word of God have to say about familiar spirits and wizards?
Leviticus 19:31
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I AM the LORD your God.
Egypt has not learned nor heeded the lessons of HIStory in these last days, even though she is blessed to have the Bible in Stone, the Great Pyramid of Giza, in her very midst as a sign and a witness (we will discuss this more later in this study)! Therefore once again Egypt shall have to learn the hard way, through the plagues poured out upon her, that there is only one LORD God... Yahveh, the great I AM. As we just read, it is precisely because Egypt listens to her charming leaders who follow after the ways of that old charming serpent from the beginning, Satan himself, and who look to the wizardry of occult knowledge, that she shall surely stumble and fall before the false-christ in these last days, as in be given over to the hand of that cruel lord!
Isaiah 19:4
And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.
This cruel lord and fierce king is the abomination of desolation (Mat. 24:15), Satan, who comes claiming to be God (2 Thes. 2), that king of fierce countenance spoken of by Daniel the prophet.
Daniel 8:23-24
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

[24] And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

As it is written, Satan enters in peaceably and prosperously with his New World Order seeking to provide a chicken in the pot for everyone, which means entitlements galore from the cradle to the grave for all those who will worship him. And because he unites the world "religiously" by claiming that he is God and showing forth great signs and wonders and by performing miracles to back up that claim, he shall bring "peace" to the world after healing the deadly wound to the One World System. You "see", that is how Satan spiritually destroys people... i.e. through peace and prosperity, which is to say "wonderfully"!

Note: The 11th chapter of the great Book of Daniel declared long ago that it would be "religion" that would prevent peace from being achieved in the Middle East during the final generation of the fig tree. It is only when that religious beast of Rev. 13:11 (Satan) is cast out of heaven with his host of angels in Rev. 12:7-9 and comes with the two horns (symbolic of power) of a lamb, i.e. "looking like the Lamb of God" by claiming to be the King of kings and Lord of lords, that the whole world will become religiously united! For more details regarding this, go to Daniel chapter 11

The point is that Egypt along with all the other nations of the earth shall become subject to the false king of kings in these last days, for their leaders are filled with the spirit of iniquity and they commit fornication with the harlot to get their fair share and partake of the her sweet delicacies! It is written and so shall it be. Rev. 18:3 "For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies."

Side Note: Isn't it interesting at the time of this study that the nations of the world who would not join the coalition to defeat the evil regime of Saddam Hussein, a cruel lord and fierce king of the Ishmaelites and a type indeed, are all now clamoring to prosper from the riches of the reconstruction contracts in the ancient land of Babylon?

Isaiah 19:5
And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.
Rev. 17:15 will document concerning the visions and prophecies of these last days, that "waters" symbolize peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. Rev. 17:15 "And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." So although we have a physical type concerning the wasting and drying up of the actual waters of Egypt, such as the damming of the Nile at Aswan that stopped the flooding waters that once made the land of Egypt so fertile, it is the spiritual wasting and drying up of her people that is the most damming, perhaps eternally so.
[6] And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.
The "brooks of defence" are the canals of Matzor which are the canals of Nile. They shall become impoverished (emptied) and desolate (dried up). You "see", whereas Mother Nature once brought the richness of fertile silt to the Nile Delta, Egypt decided man's ways would prove superior. So Egypt solicited the aid of Russia (Edom) and dammed the Nile at Aswan in 1964. Since then many of the canals have disappeared and there is continual and increasing erosion of Egypt's coast. And of course she now relies upon toxic chemical fertilizers to replace that which nature once provided.
[7] The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
The Septuagint reads "And all the green herbage round about the river, and everything sown by the side of the river, shall be blasted with the wind and dried up." On a spiritual level, because Egypt has chosen to follow man's ways, because she "looks to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards (vs. 3)", that which should be made green (living) by the life giving water of His truth shall dry up and become spiritually desolate.

Do not accuse us of "spiritualizing away" that which is written concerning the latter day changes to the waters and rivers of Egypt, which serve as visual signs for us to "see"! Remember from vs. 1-3 what the purpose of this oracle to Egypt is and what it concerns... i.e. that the heart of Egypt shall melt and the spirit of Egypt shall fail! All this is done so that ultimately they will come to know that the LORD God, who loves them dearly, IS God and there is none other!

[8] The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
The truth of matter is that the hooks and nets of the New World Order "out fish" the "fishers of men" in these last day even as "false religion" is one of the "nets", one of the Four Hidden Dynasties of the New World Order. In fact, it is written concerning these last days that Satan, the devourer, the false messiah, even reduces men ("adam" in Hebrew) to mere fishes of the sea, like the creeping things, that have no "ruler" over them to lead them and defend them.
Habakkuk 1:14
And makest men (adam) as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
Therefore they (the sons of adam) have become like the rest of the fishes of the sea of people from whom the Beast rises in Rev. 13:1, and they are easily snagged by the hooks and snared in the nets of the New World Order, controlled by the kenites, that drag them away from truth and justice! Deja vu from the first earth age!
[15] They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
Yes, those wicked ones behind the scenes are weaving, even have woven, a worldwide web called the New World Order which shall, even has, entrap all nations (ethos) and kingdoms (tribes of Israel)!
[16] Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
Again, the "net" that entraps and enslaves men is the power of Babylon the Great of these end times. It is the king of Babylon's "spiritual war machine" which is the combined "forces" of the Four Horses (symbolic of power) of the Apocalypse (Rev. 6), the Four Hidden Dynasties of Politics (Red Horse),Education (Pale Horse), Economics (Black Horse) and Religion (White Horse)! It is the "god of forces (powers)" spoken of by Daniel the prophet.
Daniel 11:38
But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
Yes, they sacrifice to their net, their own wicked devices (not to Almighty God) and they burn incense and rejoice for they (the wicked) are made fat (rich with gold and silver and pleasant things) through the establishing of the New World Order. Yes, give praise to globalization!
Isaiah 19:9
Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.
There are extreme differences between rich and poor in Egypt and it is still considered a poor country

confounded, buwsh, boosh, Hebrew 954; a primitive root; properly to pale, i.e. by implication to be ashamed; also (by implication) to be disappointed, or delayed :- (be, make, bring to, cause, put to, with, a-) shame (-d), be (put to) confounded (-fusion), become dry, delay, be long.
On a spiritual level, there shall be much shame and disappointment for there shall not be much "fine white linen" woven or produced in the land (Rev. 19:8)!

[10] And they shall be broken in the purposes (foundations, pillars) thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish (nephesh).
The subject in this verse, like the previous verses, is not actual "fish" but rather "souls (nephesh)", which are often symbolized by fish (ne-fish, lol). It is the souls that will be "broken" or crushed in the confusion of Babylon the great in these last days because their foundations are destroyed and they have become idolatrous and iniquitous indeed. Therefore they shall reap the consequences of their deeds... which is the pouring out of our Father's cup of wrath.
Psalm 11:3-7
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? [4] The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. [5] The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. [6] Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. [7] For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
Consider carefully the next verse.
Isaiah 19:11
Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish (stupid): how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
The word Zoan means "place of departure" but even more importantly "in the time of Moses it was the capital or court of Pharaoh, and the scene of the miracles (Ps. 78:12, 43), and the seat of wisdom". (see note in the Companion Bible, pg. 967)".
Psalm 78:12
Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

Psalm 78:42-49
They remembered not His hand, nor the day when He delivered them from the enemy. [43] How He had wrought His signs in Egypt, and His wonders in the field of Zoan: [44] And had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they could not drink. [45] He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them. [46] He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller, and their labour unto the locust. [47] He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with frost. [48] He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts. [49] He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

After all that the LORD accomplished at Zoan, yet Egypt's leaders are foolish and their supposed wise men are literally stupid* and void of wisdom and common sense.

* "Stupid" is the verbal denominative of the Hebrew word "Qal" translated "brutish" in Isa. 19:11 above.

Also Strong's concordance defines "fools" in verse 11 as follows:

fools, 'eviyl, ev-eel', Hebrew 191; from an unused root (meaning to be perverse); (figurative) silly :- fool (-ish) (man).
Additionally, Brown Drivers Briggs gives us some characteristic details of one who is a "fool".
BDB Definition:
        1) be foolish, foolish
               1a) (substantive)
1a1) of one who despises wisdom
1a2) of one who mocks when guilty
1a3) of one who is quarrelsome
1a4) of one who is licentious

Part of Speech: adjective masculine
A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: from an unused root (meaning to be perverse)

The point is that there is going to be a lot of utter shame and disgrace in the land when our Father brings this flesh age to a close for those who now call themselves wise and learned men shall be exposed as fools indeed!
Romans 1:22-23
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Science and technology have progressed to a level that was unimaginable 200 years ago! Unfortunately wisdom has not kept pace.
Isaiah 19:12
Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
There is no excuse for not knowing what the LORD of hosts has purposed upon Egypt! Why? Because HIStory repeats itself, meaning HIStory is prophecy, and since HIStory shows what happened in the past, there is an ensample set forth of the judgment that shall yet come again upon the land of Egypt in these last days!
[13] The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Nophare deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
Some scholars translate "the stay of the tribes" as "the corner-stone of her castes".
stay, pinnah, pin-naw', Hebrew 6438; feminine of Hebrew 6434 (pen); an angle; by implication a pinnacle; figurative a chieftain :- bulwark, chief, corner, stay, tower.
Egypt has been lead astray by her leaders and as we have learned thus far in this chapter, she has become spiritually dried up, desolated. Surely she shall be deceived and seduced by the false messiah, that king of fierce countenance who shall come defacto and destroy "wonderfully". Again, "Why?" Because of the foolish counsel of both her civil and religious leaders who instead of looking to the true "Corner-stone" as the head of their foundation, continue to reject that Corner-stone (Mark 12:10) and look to idols and her false gods and wizards.

To wit, consider Noph, which is the city of Memphis located near the Great Pyramid of Giza, the only remaining wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Yes, Egypt has the Bible in Stone right in their midst and still her princes are deceived and ignorant of what the "LORD of hosts has purposed upon Egypt (vs. 12 above)"! Therefore God has given them over to a reprobate mind!

[14] The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
Ever seen a drunken man staggering and spewing forth vomit? Translate that image to the spiritual level and you will "see" how your Father views the spiritual leaders of Egypt who have become drunken with the wine of fornication from the chalice cup of Babylon! Rev. 17:2 "With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication."
[15] Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
Unless the leaders of the nations look to the mountain (government) of God, i.e. "look to the Zion that the Lord has established", there is nothing man can do, be he great or small, to stay hand of Almighty God when He pours out His cup of wrath!
[16] In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which He shaketh over it.
To "be like unto women" is simply a figure of speech meaning that Egypt shall not be strong but shall rather be weak and trembling, i.e. terrorized because of the judgment "the LORD of hosts has purposed upon Egypt"! Remember what that "shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts" is in these last days? He is going to send the Assyrian upon the land! Isaiah 10:5 "O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation."
[17] And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which He hath determined against it.
Once our Father has determined a thing, that is the way it is! Therefore the Assyrian, Satan as the false-christ, that fierce king, IS COMING in these last days to subdue all nations! And as Dr. Bullinger points out on page 955, it is through the land of Judah that the Assyrian armies came upon Egypt! You "see", that is where all the terror upon the nations originates! Of course one must know who the "tares" are of Matthew 13, those bad figs of Jeremiah 24, in order to know that it is the kenites (sons of Cain), those liars mentioned in Rev. 2:9 and 3:9 who call themselves "Jews" (and refer to themselves as God's chosen people) who have infiltrated Judah and do the work of their father the devil (John 8:44) in deceiving the nations and bringing forth the Beast of Rev. 13:1, the New World Order.

However, as it always is with our Father who loves all His children of every nation and tongue, the smiting of the nations, which is His judgment and chastisement upon them, is not done in vain but rather for a good cause, even to heal His people and turn them about for it is His desire that "none perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9)". The day is soon coming when Egypt shall "wise up" and speak the Hebrew language, the language of revelation, and shall come to know the LORD!

[18] In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.
The language of Canaan "was the Hebrew language, by the multitude of Jews that went thither*." Also, most credible scholars note that the phrase "city of destruction" in this verse should be rendered "city of the sun" or "city of righteousness" because the "c" was dropped from the word "cheres" (sun) to read "heres" (destruction). "The primitive reading was doubtless ha-zedek = "righteousness", which the Septuagint simply transliterates*." To transliterate means to simply convert the letters of one language to the corresponding letters of another language as opposed to translating the word.

And so it is that Egypt shall one day pledge her allegiance to the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel. Five (the number of grace) cities shall know the Word of the Lord for her capital that she looks to shall be called the city of righteousness, the Zion that the LORD has established!

*Note: See notes in the Companion Bible, pg. 955.

[19] In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
This verse refers to the Great Pyramid of Giza that lies in the midst of Egypt, at the border between upper and lower Egypt. One day soon, not only the Egyptians but the whole world will come to know the glory of this Bible in Stone which is so incredible in scope and scientific wonder that its construction is more realistically attributed to God and the angels rather than to man.

If you haven't read E. Raymond Capt's book titled The Great Pyramid Decoded, then by all means do yourself a favor and obtain a copy and read it. The features, stats, and dimensions both inside and outside this magnificent structure document that modern man, even with all the technology available to him today, could not build a structure such as this.

Did you know: In its original state, shining in the sun, and so reflecting its rays, the Great Pyramid was supposed to be visible from the moon as a brilliant star on earth. This phenomenon was caused by the smooth highly polished white limestone blocks with which the Pyramid was originally covered. These blocks, called casing stones, covered the four sides. Each side having an area of five and one quarter acres, acted as gigantic mirrors, reflecting great beams of light that could be seen for many miles around. pg. 14.) The approximate number of casing stones is estimated to be 144,000 (see. pg. 18 of The Great Pyramid Decoded, by E. Raymond Capt.)

[20] And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and He shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and He shall deliver them.
sign, 'owth, oth, Hebrew 226; probably from Hebrew 225 ('uwth) (in the sense of appearing); a signal (literal or figurative), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc. :- mark, miracle, (en-) sign, token.
Yes, the Great Pyramid of Egypt has stood for millennia and still stands in these last days as a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land Egypt! "Where are they? Where are your wise men", Oh Egypt (vs. 19:12)? They are fools indeed if they cannot "see" the magnificence of the altar that lies in the midst of their land and at her borders?

Remember, "Isaiah" means the "salvation of Yahveh", which is not just salvation for His children of the House of Israel, but for all of His children, including His children of Egypt, the sons of Ishmael, the son of Abraham and Hagar. You "see", though there is, as flesh man sees it, a negative part to God's plan whereby He sends the Assyrian upon the land, it ultimately results in a positive whereby His children come to know that He, the LORD God, Yahveh, is God and there is none other! How wonderful is the plan of our Father's salvation!

[21] And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.
Jesus Christ, the Chief Corner Stone that the builders rejected, shall one day soon, following the reign of Satan, the false corner stone, come to this earth as King of kings and Lord of lords and be the ruler of all nations. In that day the glory of the Pyramid shall be restored when the "Corner Stone" is put in place, and Egypt shall come to know that "I AM THAT I AM" is the LORD and they shall turn to Him and flow unto the "City of Righteousness (ha-zadok)" as they finally "look to the Zion He has established"!
[22] And the LORD shall smite Egypt: He shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and He shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.
And smite them and heal them He shall! Rev. 19:15 "And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."

The good news is that there shall be much spiritual healing that comes from the smiting of the nations at the end of this flesh age as the people begin to "intreat the LORD"!  Remember from Exodus 7 that that is why God multiplied His signs and wonders in the land of Egypt (Ex. 7:3). "And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them (Ex. 7:5)."

[23] In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
When the King of kings and Lord of lords comes to this earth, all the nations shall realize that their gods were no gods at all and they shall all come together to worship before the Lord! It brings to mind the words of the Psalmist:
Psalm 86:8-10
Among the gods there is none like unto Thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto Thy works.

[9]All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and worship before Thee, O Lord; and shall glorify Thy name.

[10] For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone.

It should be noted that there was an attempt by Egypt in this final generation of the fig tree to make an alliance and bring about peace "in the midst of the land". Some may recall during the Jimmy Carter administration that Anwar Sadat, then President of Egypt, sent a letter to our President that opened up the Camp David Peace Accord with Menachem Begin, PM of Israel, that outlined the final peace plan for the Middle East. Egypt paid a dear price for this attempt as the rich Arab countries cut off aid to her in 1979 after the peace treaty with Israel. Though the false messiah will come and unite the world under his rule, it shall be an unstable peace indeed, for there can be no real and lasting peace until the true Prince of Peace comes and the nations align themselves with the Zion that the Lord has established... and they shall for Christ and His elect will see to it that they do.
Isaiah 19:24
In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
In other words, during the Millennium when Egypt and Assyria align themselves with the true House of Israel as they "look to the Zion that the Lord has established", to the "City of Righteousness", then shall there be a blessing in the midst of the land indeed! Then there shall finally be true peace on earth... for the Prince of Prince shall be with us!
[25] Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
God's blessed plan for the consummation of this flesh age, His plan that brings deliverance and salvation, is perfect. Furthermore, that plan is all laid out and written in His Word for those who desire to see and hear from the prophets that which shall surely come to pass. To wit, Jesus Christ told us in Mark 13:23 "But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things." Again, those "things" were foretold of long ago through the mouths of servants the prophets. What a blessing it is to read and understand what tomorrow brings, for knowing what shall surely come to pass removes all doubts and fears about what tomorrow brings.

We now leave you with a poem fitting to conclude this great 19th chapter of Isaiah concerning the burden, the oracle and witness, to Egypt:

The Glory of The Great Pyramid

Behold this mighty beauteous wonder!
O Pyramid of God's own splendor.
O mighty glorious altar so dear,
Let us hear, let us know of thy secrets made clear.

What a glorious sight to behold;
What marvellous mysteries now unfold.
God's hidden plan revealed to man,
From ages past, at last made known.

Every stone, every inch of thy marvellous being
Are glories, are secrets our hearts are now seeing.
He drew His plan for all mankind
And left it there for us to find.

Thy casing stones of dazzling white
All shining with a heavenly light
Reflect the glories hid within
Reflect the beauty that is Him.

What glories, what secrets, what marvellous truths
have you held these many long years.
But now, praise to God, you speak loud and clear
As His Kingdom and glorious Reign nears.
