My Note: New Covenant to be with Both Houses separately Ref. Scripture Hebrews 8:8
"New Covenant to be Made With Both, The House of Israel and The House of Judah"
Scripture: Hebrews 8:8
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the
Lord,
when I will make a new covenant with
the house of Israel and with
the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the
covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by
the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued
not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
My how we Christians have allowed a false understanding of what scripture really says to corrupt our doctrine!
I have actually had a "Christain Preacher" say to me, "Oh no, the House of Israel isn't lost, because everyone from both Houses has been considered a Jew since they (the Jews) returned from Babylon to rebuild the temple in 541 B.C. I can't help but wonder what Bible he reads, if any at all! They have obviously never read 2 Kings 18 very carefully. Especially 18:9-13. Assyria, 19 years after they carried away the house of Israel, also carried away The house of Judah except for Jerusalem.
II Kings 18:13 "Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them."
After 721 BCE, Assyria once again invaded the land of Israel and Judah, for the fourth time in the year of 702 BCE. King Sennacherib, the son of King Sargon II, arrived into the land of Israel. He swiftly swept over the outlying garrison towns of Judah, 46 in number, but was never able to take down Jerusalem. It was not that Jerusalem was so formidable, but the God of Israel had a different plan. A large part of thetowns and villages of Judah were destroyed and taken into captivity.
Live Link to- some other very interesting reading on this subject> Assyrian Invasions of Israel and outlying towns of Judah, 46 in number. Those folks from the 46 outlying garrison towns of "The House of Judah" took off over the Caucasas mountains into the steppes of south Russia right along with "The house of Israel" when Babylon overthrew Assyria 135 years after that. And then on to Europe and the Americas, i.e Israel's lost tribes are now the Christian nations of the world. So not only did the 10 tribes who made up the ancient House of Israel loose their identity as Israelites, so also, did a very large number of the 2 tribes who made up the ancient House of Judah loose their identity as Israelites.
Paul tells us about God's new covenant:
Hebrews 8:1
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have
such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the
Majesty in the heavens;
2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.
3
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices:
wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:
5 Who
serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was
admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See,
saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to
thee in the mount.
6
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much
also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established
upon better promises.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when
I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in
the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of
Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them
not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,
saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in
their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a
people:
11
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man
his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the
least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
13
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now
that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
