Pamphlet #4005
Paul
said, " And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews,..."
Would
he have said this if he himself was a Jew?
1 Corinthians 9:20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
Paul wouldn't have said that if he was a Jew by ancestry because he was, in fact, a Benjamite. Israelite? Yes! Jew, No!
Romans 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Paul also refers to the Jews as the other guys in Acts 26:7.
Acts 26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
