The word "Saints" as stated here has changed from the Hebrew text, and should read "angels". Eliphaz is telling Job, "Cry out right now to the angels of the heavenly hosts, and let them help you." Why in the world would you ever cry out to an angel to help you, when you can cry out directly to the Almighty God. This is advising "angel worship" and Angels are not to be worshipped for any reason, for you would be wasting your time. Remember that Eliphaz, a man of Esau [Russia of Today] will promote all of his arguments from the standpoint of Human experiences.

Job 5:2 "For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one."

"Envy" should read "indignation", so this is saying that indignation is what kills the silly person. Friend, righteous indignation kills no one. I hope you can see that this advise of Eliphaz is hollow and not worth the time of listening to it.

Job 5:3 "I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation."

Eliphaz is saying that he has seen the foolish [man] growing quite wealthy, and doing good and prospering, and then suddenly his entire habitation was destroyed. Of course he is talking about Job.

Job 5:4 "His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither is there any to deliver them."

When you are a foolish and unwise person, it doesn't matter how much money you have, your children are still far from safety. This looses a lot in the translation for at the time of Job it was at the gate of the city whereby judgment and litigation took place. One moment you may have a great wealth, and the next day it is all gone by litigation and judgments against you. What Eliphaz is trying to say, is that all these things that you accumulate don't amount to anything when they are obtained in this life while in the flesh body. Just when you think that you have every thing going your way, if you do not understand God's ways, you will use up the wealth you have gained and by wasting it.

Job 5:5 "Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance."

There are the robbers of robbers, those men and women will take what you have by legal and other deceptive means, for this is what Eliphaz is getting around to here. It goes much deeper in the Hebrew text. They will trick and con you out of your wealth.

Job 5:6 "Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground;"

"Although" should read "For". Eliphaz is saying that it isn't the earth that is causing your sin, your losses or your downfall. Yet at the same time he is now going to expand on this statement.

Job 5:7 "Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward."

The translators did a bad job on this verse, and they had to have done it deliberately. The word "sparks" has nothing to do with what is being said here, for in the Hebrew text the numbers are # 1121, and # 7565; #1121 in Strong's Hebrew dictionary is: "Ben, a son, (as builder of a family name), and it could include a grandson or nation, or condition, but it is an appointed one." # 7565 reads, "resheph, a live coal; by analogy, lightning; fig, an arrow (as flashing through the air)."

So what this is saying is that men are born into this earth in dust, in trouble, and they better be careful or the sons of Resheph (the burning coal) will teach you to fly upward. Stop and think for a moment what this is saying, these sons are teaching people to have their souls fly upward, while they are still in the flesh. Does it sound like something that is going on today? That's right, the rapture doctrine. So if the dust doesn't hurt you, Who is in the dust? Of course it is the "serpent" from Genesis 3:14.

Genesis 3:14 "And the Lord God said unto the serpent (Satan), Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:"

So do you know who these "sons of the Resheph" are that go around teaching these strange doctrines that foolish people like to place their hopes in"? Of course they are the "Kenites", the "sons [daughters] of Cain". They are Satan's own children and they are there when you are born into the world, but if you don't look out for them or for the demonic beings or bad angels, the bad servants, you will be taken in by them.

There is a double meaning here also, for in every negative there is a positive. There are also good "sons of the fire" here also, and they are of the "coals of the altar of God." God allows all this to take place, for the protecting cherub (Satan) has ceased protecting the altar of God, and he now seeks whom he may destroy. Ezekiel 28 goes into this deeply. So as you walk upon the dust, which means in your clay body, you had better look out for the one that is crawling in the dust (Satan), for he is out to get your soul. This is no joke or kids story, but take warning in our generation that Satan as the Antichrist doesn't destroy your spiritual soul. We are to stay on guard in these final days of this earth age.

Your "Green's interlinear text" of the manuscripts will bear out what we have discussed in this verse. The translators have so messed over this verse that the entire meaning has been taken from it.

Job 5:8 "I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:"

Eliphaz is now changing his story, he is saying you can call out to any other person that you want to, but if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't call out to them. Eliphaz knows about the one in the dust, Satan as well as his kids, the Kenites. He stated, I would cry out to God and commit my cause to Him.

Job 5:9 "Which doeth great things and unsearchale; marvellous things without number:"

You can't even number the great things that God has done for man.

Job 5:10 "Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:"

This "fields" in the text is the "outplaces". It means the places where man has never ever gone. God still waters the fields there as well as where man is living. It is implying that God's creation does not require man for plant life in those remote areas to be watered.

Job 5:11 "To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety."

Job 5:12 "He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise."

What these two verses are saying, is that God takes care of the wicked and they will get their just due for the evil that they have done in the end. While old Eliphaz is saying these words he is looking right down at Job, sitting there covered with sores, boils, and in his pain, and implying that those sores and trouble came from God and is settling the score for any wrong doing in Job's life. Do you see the "human experience" idea here?

Job 5:13 "He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong."

Eliphaz is implying here that Job is putting on to be something that he isn't. Job considers Himself to be a just and righteous man, and Eliphaz this so called friend is implying just the opposite. Job was not crafty and given over to hateful counsel. Remember what God said about him in Job 1:8; "...Hast thou considered By servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?" Job knew that he was not those things Eliphaz was saying of him.

Job 5:14 "They met with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night."

You are either "children of light" or "children of darkness", and Eliphaz knew the difference. Eliphaz is implying that Job was one of the children of darkness, but trying to live the life of a child of the day. He is calling Job a hypocrite, one that says he is one thing but lives the life of another, just the opposite.

Job 5:15 "But He saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty."

Eliphaz is telling poor old Job that if Job was of God, this would not have happened for God protects His own. Here sits Job with all his boils, as this man dribbles on about the things that he knows nothing about. Job was a righteous man, yet there he sat there.

Job 5:16 "So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth."

Job 5:17 "Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of The Almighty:"

What Eliphaz is saying to Job's face is "rejoice for God is just correcting you and punishing you for something that you have done." He is calling Job a sinner and it is Job's sins that has caused this trouble to come over Job. Here Job sits, he is God's specimen as to how perfect Job was, yet this bean brain has the gall to tell Job that God is disappointed with him, and is punishing him for his sins. This man has accused and implied that Job has sinned every sin possible, yet by Job's response, I don't believe that Job is listening to this blow off one bit.

Job 5:18 "For He maketh sore, and bindeth up: He woundeth, and His hands make whole."

Old Eliphaz was correct that God cause sores, and bring on the wounds, but God didn't cause one of these boils to come upon Job. Satan brought the sickness, took his family from him, as well as his wealth. Not God. What was this happening? Job was the type of the elect, and it doesn't fit every person, but it is a lesson to you if your are one of the elect of God. God allowed it, and Satan accomplished it to come to pass.

Job 5:19 "He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee."

The "mark of the beast" is the number "six", that is Satan number and his troubles. "Seven" is the number for "God's perfection", and He has His seven thousand that will stand in that day against Satan the Antichrist. Seven is the number of "divine perfection". Eliphaz is talking double talk here, for he is saying that God will deliver him when these six troubles come, if He wills it.

Friend, if you are in the Holy Spirit of God, none of these evil things can even touch you. It is up to you, for you are the one that has to order Satan and his evil spirits and those evil ones around you out of your life.

Job 5:20 "In famine He shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword."

Do you remember What Jesus said when He was asked what it would be like at the end of this earth age? Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of wars, famines, and troubles. This was the subject of Matthew 24, and Mark 13, and with this all in mind, lets continue.

Job 5:21 "Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongues: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh."

It is the truth that sets you free from all your troubles, for when bad times come upon you and your are in His will, you know it is within the plan of God. It is a must that you are able to recognize God's plan when it is working in your life and around you in this generation. The things that are taking place today are prophesied in the Word.

Job 5:22 "At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beast of the earth."

The "beasts of the earth" are the living human beings of the earth. We don't have to be afraid of any of them when we are in God's will. When you know God's plan, you know that the destruction that is going to come upon the entire earth is spiritual. So when that destruction starts to happen around you, wake up and pay attention. Even though Eliphaz is going on about all the destruction that is going to come upon the earth, it isn't helping Job one bit. Job's boils are not being helped by this scripture lawyer rattling on about something that does not pertain to Job.

Job 5:23 "For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee."

This isn't much comfort to Job to hear about the peace that Job can have with the stones of the field, or the beasts. Job is an upright man, and he will have nothing to do with those Kenites, or their father Satan. Eliphaz is heaping all these accusations upon Job, and then telling Job that if he truly loved God, He will protect you from all this. Job gave his all to God, and this is all coming to that age old question, What are we doing here on earth in the first place, and why do people have to suffer?

The reason of course is that God has a plan and each and every one of us are part of that plan of God. The thoughts that are actually given in the Hebrew text are difficult to pass on into the English. It was no accident that stones are mentioned here. In Luke 4, Satan came to Jesus in the wilderness and tempted him with may things. There are two princes of hosts, there is the negative prince who is Satan and there is the positive prince of hosts who is our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalms 91:10 "There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."

Psalms 91:11 "For He shall give His angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all thy ways."

Psalms 91:12 "They shall bear thee up in their hands, Lest thou dash thy foot against a stone."

These are the verses that Satan used when he told Jesus to jump off of the pillars of the temple; "for God's angels will protect you". You see Satan twisted his quotation of the Scriptures when he approached Christ that day in the wilderness. Satan will use the same tricks on you that he tried to your on Jesus, and that is to take the Word of God and twist it to his liking to try to deceive you. The reason that you don't have to fear Satan and his kids is that he has only one bag of tricks. That bag is full and he will use what ever trick or form that he thinks that you are your weakest.

However you are not as Job was, for you have the power and the Word of God that through your faith and belief in Jesus Christ, that you can command Satan to get behind you, and order Satan out of your life. You can control Satan, and you don't have to put up with Satan's tricks. You do have to be able to recognize what is of Satan before you can order Him out of your life. The majority of the people of this world will bow to Satan very shortly because they do not know God's plan, nor can the identify what is of Satan from those things that are of God. Most so called Christians today are so far off that they even think Satan's little Kenites are God's chosen people. Because of their blindness they are going to worship the Kenites' Messiah, who is Satan the Antichrist.

Job 5:24 "And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle shall be in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitations, and shalt not sin."

Eliphaz is telling Job that he is not going to make any more mistakes.

Job 5:25 "Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth."

Here this Bozo is trying to comfort Job by telling him the same thing that God promised Abraham, however, all ten of Job's children are dead and in the grave. How comforting do you think this is to Job? It's like a slap in the face. Is the man trying to pick up Job? Of course not, but he is trying to rub Job's nose is his problems. With friends like this who needs enemies.

Job 5:25 "Thou shalt know also that thy seed shall be great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth."

Job 5:26 "Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season."

This is a message to Job from his so-called friend. Eliphaz is telling Job that he has sat there with him for the past seven days and nights and thought about your problem, and I know that my instructions to you are true. As Eliphaz sat looking at Job sitting there in his boils, all he has done was to stomp poor Job into the ground, and tell him a pack of lies.

Job 5:27 "Lo this, we have searched it, so it is; hear it, and know thou it for thy good."

Job is now going to answer Eliphaz. It is to bad that Job could not have understood what we know at this point in time; that God had a plan, and all that was happening was part of that plan of God. God knows His elect, and if you find yourself as Job did, in great trouble, and there seems no apparent reason for that trouble coming your way, than God has a purpose for you, and you are fulfilling some part of that plan.

If you have sinned against God, you will know it, and if there is not sins or needs for correction than know that God is dealing with you, and you are being used as a tool for the advancement of His Word. Job's response is in the next chapter.
