Isaiah
Chapter 53

Caution to students of God's Word - Please remember two things when using our studies: #1. Our commentary is not God's Word. It is only our interpretation or understanding of "His Word" and even though we try our best to be accurate we may or may not be correct. #2. The King James translation, or any other translation, of the original Hebrew text has some words which were given different translations at different places probably because of the interpreters preconceived ideas of what they think God meant to say. For example: According to the notes in the "Drake's Annotated Reference Bible" the Hebrew word hayah in the KJV is Trans. (became) 67 times, (becamest or came to pass) 505 times, (become) 66 times, and (come to pass) 131 times, but for some reason in Genesis 1:2 it is translated (was)! That sure changes the way a person perceives the original creation of the earth, doesn't it?  Gen. 1:2 And the earth was (became) without form, ... Having said that, let us continue with our "Key Knowledge" lessons. These are pamphlets containing knowledge, we believe, you must have to fully and accurately unlock and understand the Word of God.

John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

John 16:13-14
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Without the leading by the Holy Spirit, there is no understanding of the truths, for all the truth of the Scriptures are revealed to us by God's Spirit.

Now here is our revised study of:

Isaiah

Chapter 53

"Messiah's Propitiatory Work."

The prior few chapters have revealed to us the prophecies of the two comings which are called "Advents" of our Lord Jesus Christ. The first Advent prophesied that the Messiah would come as a Servant, very common and despised by the leaders of that day, and this we know to be true. In fact the Kenite religious leaders hated His every word, and sought from the first of His ministry to destroy Him. In the time that passed from the coming out of Babylonian captivity being led by Ezra, until the time of Christ, some four hundred and fifty years had passed. During that time the leaders of the temple worship had changed, and the Jewish Kenite scribe's traditions had replaced the teachings of Moses and the other prophets. These differences threatened the religious leaders and their new traditions and customs, as well as their merchandising of diseased and bug infested doves in the temple. They had turned the temple of God from a house of prayer, into a convenience store, and tried to provide a quick way out of your sin and guilt.

Isaiah also prophesied of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, only at His second coming, Jesus would not come as the lowly carpenter's son. At Christ's second coming He would come riding on that beautiful white horse, and a Man the world would worship and respect, for at His second coming every knee would bow and tongue confess that He is Lord. At Jesus Christ second coming He would be recognized as the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Jesus' second coming will be at the seventh and last trumpet as given in the book of Revelation. This will be the end of this earth age of the flesh, for at that time all mankind living in the flesh shall be changed in the wink of an eye into their new incorruptible bodies. Those spiritual bodies shall never age or become sick but, being one in the same, will be bodies like the angels have. At this time all souls that were biblically illiterate while in their flesh bodies will see the truth of God's Word and understand completely all the truths of God's Holy Word. At Christ's second coming the truth will saturate the entire world, and all those evil things that distracted our minds while in the flesh bodies will be removed from our midst.

So we see that when Christ came the first time as a baby, He came for the purpose of being crucified, and paying the price so that mankind could be drawn back to himself. Jesus knew this from the very start, and He was teaching even to His final words spoken while on the cross. Every thing He did was to fulfill the prophesies that God had spoken through the prophets many centuries prior to the events.

When Jesus spoke His final words, "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?" They were given in Matthew 27:46, and Mark 15:34 and quoted from Psalms 22:1. In the Hebrew text it reads; "`eli, `eli, lamah `azabhani", and the entire expression is Aramaic. This is the English tongue transliterated from the Greek. This was not a form of speaking in tongues as some might suggest. It was clear to all that heard it spoken, and there was no confusion. It was the fulfilment of the prophesies of God's Holy Word. Jesus was telling those that heard it spoken to go and read and you will understand what is taking place.

As we read and study these reports of Jesus Christ's death on the cross, and the suffering that He went through, you can't help but see the great love that our Heavenly Father and His Son had for you and me. When anyone comes to see this love that was given to us, it will change the lives of those that understand what Jesus went through. Christ's suffering was by His own choice because of His love for us, to draw us back to Himself.

Many teach that when the Messiah would come, He would establish His kingdom on earth and that would be it, but that is not biblical. There had to be two different comings of Christ, and the first coming was so that He would redeem us, for there could be no redemption while there is no way for repentance. Therefore the first Advent of Jesus happened so that the Son would humble Himself, and pay the price so that you and I could have forgiveness from our sins. He was the only one qualified to do this, because He was both man and God

Isaiah 53:1 "Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?"

"Our report" is the report that we just studied in the prior chapters, about the first and second advent. It is given specifically in Isaiah 52:13-15. This is asking; who can see the arm of the Lord? The "cup of wrath" as we read of earlier is revealed to those He loves and that love Him. It is the knowledge or seal that is in their minds that will keep each of His elect from falling away to Satan when He comes in the role of the Antichrist. Our Heavenly Father's hand will cover the believer that seeks the shadow of His hand.

Isaiah 53:2 "For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him."

Jesus Christ grew up as just a child, a baby, the most helpless thing in the world. The "root out of a dry ground" finds little water to grow by in its surroundings. For God to produce a winner out of this tender plant [Jesus], He doesn't need a lot of water, or teaching, for God has instilled in this child all the wisdom of the universe within Him. Jesus was silent and submissive to those around Him, and did not try to overpower those in authority at His first advent.

When Jesus came that first time in His ministry, there was an inner peace and beauty about Him. When He spoke the crowds were drawn to Him, and taken by what He had to say. Jesus Words were different then what was given in the Temple by the religious leaders, and when Jesus taught even the religious leaders listened to what He had to say. They knew that what Jesus spoke was true, and that teaching was against what was being taught in the temple.

The physical appearance of Jesus is not what brought the people out, but the Spiritual divine intervention by God was felt by those around Him.

Isaiah 53:3 "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not."

Jesus was corrected, judged, spit upon, and cursed, but what is new? That still goes on today by many who call themselves Christians, as well as Jews and Heathen. When you teach and follow the Word of God, this will also happen to you. When you take on the name of Jesus, and call yourself a Christian, and identify yourself with Him, you also will be despised and held in low esteem. However, as we read and study Jesus life in the Gospels, He showed us how to handle the criticism when it comes. He taught us how to take the words that the world will say to you with dignity.

Jesus took the insults and sufferings because He was not doing it for Himself, but He was doing it for each person that would believe on His name, and seek repentance to the Father in Jesus name. Stop and think of it for a moment; it is very difficult to be despised and suffer great grief, and yet at the same time try to give a spiritual up-lift to those that are doing the despising and rejecting you.

Isaiah 53:4 "Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted."

This word "griefs" in the Hebrew text reads "sicknesses". He carried our sorrows and pain that went along with those sicknesses. This could be translated spiritually also, for the world is spiritually sick. This is saying that Jesus died on the cross to carry your pain for you, if you are a believer. The requirement of believing is that you have repented to our Heavenly Father in Jesus name. There is no in-between, you either believe and have repented or you have not. When we are focused on the suffering of our Lord and Savior, then when this world scorns at you, you can take it, for you understand the suffering that our Lord has gone through for you.

"Yet", or however, Jesus took a lot of pain and suffering before His death came. As Jesus hung on that cross and the curses went out to Him, God watched down upon His Son dying on that cross and allowed it. God loved you so much that He would let His only begotten Son go through shame and cursings, the whipping, spitting upon, and the thorns being driven into his skull all to pay the price so that you and I could come to Him in repentance, and ask forgiveness for the sins we do. There was a purpose for all this suffering that Jesus took, and we find that purpose explained in Hebrews 2:14-18.

Hebrews 2:14 "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;"

The reason that Christ came to die on the cross in this first Advent, was that through His death, He would destroy the one that has the power of death, and that one is Satan the devil. God created the devil back in the first earth age, and the devil rebelled against God. That rebellion caused judgment by God upon Satan, and the carrying out of the sentence will take place at the end of the Millennium age. When Satan fell, one third of all of us, God's children fell also, and this would require the same judgment upon all of these also. So in the death of Christ, it provided a way whereby God would not look upon the sins of those children of His who would accept the provision that God has made. By the repenting of their sins and using the blood of God's own perfect Son Jesus Christ as their covering, their sins would be taken from them. This is why it is necessary for our repentance to be "in Jesus name", for in His name, we are accepting the only provision, or way that God Himself will accept for your forgiveness.

Once you have repented or your sins, you become one of Jesus sheep and you are continually known to Him. John 10:27; My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:"

John 10:28 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall an man pluck them out of My hand."

It was Satan's children through his son Cain, [the Kenites] that caused the suffering and death of Jesus Christ on the cross, and that gave our Heavenly Father the right to have no sorrow in the afflicting of Lucifer, and those that chose to follow Him.

Hebrews 2:15 "And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage."

Hebrews 2:16 "For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham."

Hebrews 2:17 "Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people."

Hebrews 2:18 "For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted."

Isaiah 53:5 "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed."

Jesus was pierced with that sword while he hung on the cross to pay the price for every sin that you and I would commit, and that price is accepted when we repent of those sins in Jesus name. Jesus did not take the sword for something that He had done, but for what you and I have done; for Jesus was perfect in all manner when He lived His life in the flesh. To even suggest that He was not perfect is to blaspheme the very Spirit of God. He was without spot and without blemish.

What this is saying, is that Jesus took the beating and the whip, and from that the grief and sicknes that was spoken of in verse four, was healed. However there is always that condition that goes along with this, and that is that you believe and trust in Him, and repent in His name. When you do place your faith in Him, His love will be in you, and you will love Him. It is through those stripes that He took that the healing comes to us. The healing that takes place is a spiritual healing. The healing of your soul gives hope in a world when there is so little to hope for. That hope comes when we study His Word and make it part of our lives and minds. Then that Word will change you and give you a desire for the souls of your fellow man, that they may come to know our Heavenly Father's love for them also.

Isaiah 53:6 "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. "

When Jesus Christ went to the cross, He also carried your sin to the cross for you. This is why once you have repented of a sin and He forgives you, for you to bring up that sin that has been repented of, and forgiven, is to mock Him. For someone that has once been saved, in as much as it has been this one Jesus Christ that does the saving, to even imply in the smallest sense that you need to be re-saved, is to say that He failed, and not you. It is blasphemy and a complete mockery of God. When you sin again, YES, you need to ask for His forgiveness for that sin; but, to need to be re-saved, No

Therefore, if a pastor preaches only a salvation message to a room full of people that have already gone forward and repented in Jesus name. Giving them only the milk of salvation over and over again, is an insult to this finished work on the cross of Jesus Christ. What forgives sin is the blood shed on the cross, and all that is required is your repentance, and then He states, I don't want to hear about it again. He buries it in the deepest sea, and as far from you that it can be. Once you think that a sin that has been repented of, needs to be repented again, it makes you a non-believer on not only Christ's death on the cross, but the very Words and promises that our Heavenly Father has made to His own. The very act brings shame upon you, and even this should be repented for.

Isaiah 53:7 "He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth."

Jesus was that Passover Lamb that was slaughtered for the sins of the people. This prophecy was fulfilled in detail, as we read in Matthew 27:14; "And He answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly." Pilate himself begged and pleaded for Jesus to open His mouth and plead His innocence, yet Jesus would not defend Himself. Pilate wanted to set Jesus free because his wife had a dream the night before from the Spirit of God, saying; "This man is innocent". Even after Pilate had pronounced the death sentence upon Jesus, he called for water to wash his hands, saying "my hands are free of innocent blood."

Jesus did not open His mouth because of you and me. Jesus knew that you and I could not do what had to be done, because we are not perfect. Even we desired to be a sacrifice, we are not fit to pay for any sin. Once you realize that you will be accountable for every sin you commit that is not repented, you will understand who we are to die regularly to our sins, by repenting them in Jesus name. Then you will have the freedom from the guilt that those sins place on your mind and conscience.

At any time Jesus could have called a band of angels and put a stop to any punishment that He took, but He chose not to. He could have come and ruled as the King of kings at His first coming, but that was not in the word's spoken and written through the prophets of old. No, Jesus set His mind on becoming the perfect sacrifice for you and me, and He became our sacrificial lamb. Jesus became our Passover.

I Corinthians 5:7 "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened, For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:"

"Leaven" is yeast, it is impurities that cause the dough to rise in the making of bread. The bread of the Communion is the body of Christ, and the leaven that changes the body of Christ into something that it is not, are the traditions and false doctrines that are not in accordance with God's Holy Word. When Christ became our passover, He was pure just as the Passover lamb was required to be, without spot or blemish. That was God's requirement before the coming of Christ, and once Jesus Christ died on the cross that requirement was fulfilled once and for all times.

I Corinthians 5:8 "Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

Jesus is our Passover, only after His death we do not keep the feast as it was in the days before His coming, but with sincerity and truth. That passover now is what we call the communion, that we take in remembrance of His suffering and death on the cross. We take not only the cup to remember the blood that was shed, but the broken bread to show the stripes that He took and suffering of His body that was given for your and my sins.

You may be at the very bottom of life's ladder, and completely broken as a person in the flesh, but when you repent the price that Christ paid for you still applies to you. Jesus kept silent when He could have spoken out and defended himself and saved His life, but He chose to keep silent and endure the cross for us.

Isaiah 53:8 "He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation? for He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of My people was He stricken."

Jesus was taken from prison and went through the full judgment of the Roman guards, and died on the cross; and we can declare it to be true today. The elect have the key of David, which is to unlock the truths of exactly who it was that crucified Christ, and understand with clarity why it was required to take place.

This is a very prophetic verse, in as much as it conforms to Daniel 9:26; "And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined."

Daniel prophecied that sixty two weeks of years after the Jews returned to rebuild the city streets and walls of Jerusalem, which took place in 444 B.C. the Messiah would be cut off, but not for Himself. He would gladly go to the cross for all those that would believe on Him and repent in His name. This date is fixed and recorded in Nehemiah 2:1-8.

Nehemiah 2:1 "And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artazerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it to the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence."

This fixes the exact date for the starting time to the coming of the messiah for we see in the eighth verse that the permission was given to go ahead with the rebuilding of the streets and walls of Jerusalem.

Nehemiah 2:8 "And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into." And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me."

By using the Jewish calendar and knowing the exact date that Jesus Christ was "cut off" [died], we can see the prophecy was on the day before the Passover sabbath. By calculation it comes to a 483 year period. which is 173,880 Jewish calendar days, which is 176,426.85 Solar calendar day. We find a difference of 7 years and 25 days. Then adjusting for the fact that there is only a one year period recorded for the time from 1 B.C to 1 A.D, the date of the cut off of Messiah would fall on what is know as "Palm Sunday". We read of this day in Matthew 21:7-9.

Matthew 21:7 "And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set Him thereon."

Matthew 21:8 "And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way."

Matthew 21:9 "And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is He That cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest."

This is the first day that Jesus was declared the Son of God and the Messiah by the multitude of the Jews, and that day fell on Palm Sunday. It would be that evening that He would be betrayed by Judas, and begin his suffering that would lead later to His death. The trial would start the following day, and Christ's death on the cross would come to pass by 6 PM Wednesday, before the start of the Passover Sabbath, which took place on Thursday of that week.

Jesus body was in the grave from 6 PM Wednesday the start of the next day for the Jews, to 6 PM on Saturday, three days and three nights, as spoken of by Jesus. This was the only sign that Jesus would give to the unbelieving Kenite religious leaders. So the Christian churches are wrong on this Friday to Sunday morning, before sunrise, tradition they have going for themselves. That is only two days, not three! Even if you count the 3 possible periods of daylight; Jesus said "as Jonas was in the belly of the fish, THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS"!

Of course they are wrong to call it easter also; THE LORD BECAME OUR PASSOVER! Call it what it is; not some pagan holiday! But what do you expect, they have allowed the Kenites to run our churches! They get better atendance on Sunday then they would on Saturday.

It's all about the felt lined plate, you know! Isn't it?

Matthew 12:40 "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the hearth of the earth."

From the time that Jesus was "cut off" until the start of the great tribulation, whereby the entire world would be deceived by Satan, is what is known as the "the gap" The time where Daniel's seventy years of weeks has a hole in it. This is known as the time of the Gentiles. The time where all people of all races would have the opportunity to believe on Jesus and repent of their sins, and be grafted into the true Israel, the true olive tree.

This is why Jesus would say in Matthew 24:15 "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)"

Satan is the desolator and the abomination that takes place is when Satan the desolator stands in the holy place in Jerusalem and declares himself to be God, and the whole world believes it. When that happens the end is near, for the seventh trumpet is only a matter of days away. That is why Jesus tells us to watch Jerusalem and pay attention to what is going on there. That is the holy place to God, and those that understand are those that have the seal of God in their forehead or mind before Satan arrives.

One point to take special attention to is the fact that Christ was strickened "for the trangressions of My people". .You must claim that gift and inheritance before it applies to you, otherwise it does not apply to you or your sins

Isaiah 53:9 "And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth."

There was no idle talking and words that came out of His mouth. He never spoke a word that wasen't true and just. This is what it says in Hebrews 10:7; "Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me) to do Thy will, O God."

Jesus was the book, the very Word of God, and His very life was the fulfillment of that Word in detail.

Jesus was hung on the cross between two malfactors, and even while he hung on the cross, He continued to teach from the Psalms 22. That warning for the cup of God's wrath that would come at the end of this earth age. In that chapter it was prophesied one thousand years before how His crucifixion would take place, right down to the words spoken by the priest, and the guards casting lots for His clothes, and it took place exactly as it was written. Is it any wonder, that one of the malfactors became a believer and was converted while he hung there dying on his cross!

Jesus was placed with the rich in His death because he was placed in a new grave, that of the rich man, Joseph of Arimathea who sought His body from Pilate. Joseph of Arimathea was the next of kin that claimed the body and placed it in the sepulchre.

Luke 23:50 "And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:"

Luke 23:51 "(The same had not consented to the counsel of deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God."

Joseph of Arimathea was very rich, a merchant of the lead mines of Glastonbury, and a member of the Sanhedrin, the high court of the Jews. This lets us know that He did not consent to the counsel and the deeds of those Kenite religious leaders that called for Jesus death.

Luke 23:52 "This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus."

By Roman law, only a next of kin could claim the body of one sentenced to death. Joseph of Arimathea would have to be the uncle of Jesus, and closely related for Pilate to release Jesus body to him.

Luke 23:53 "And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid."

Luke 23:54 "And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on."

We know that this day was to prepare and get ready for the Passover, for it would be forty days later that Jesus would assend into heaven, and ten days after that Pentacost feast day would come. This is when the Holy Spirit came on those hundred and twenty believers gathered together that were waiting for that time as instructed. God's Word fits together like a perfect fit. When Jesus finally gave up the Ghost, He looked to heaven, to the Father and stated, "It is finished". The purpose that He came to earth in the first advent had been completed.

Isaiah 53:10 "Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand."

If it had not pleased the Father, it just would not have happened. This is why Christ's death applies for the forgiveness of all of your sins. It is because Christ soul was made an offering for your sin. The Heavenly Father's seed, is His very Son that was born through the virgin Mary, and Jesus entire life was guarded by the hand of God. When Harod tried to kill all those under two, God protected His Son, and sent them to Egypt, and when the Kenite religious leaders sought to take His life, God's protective hand allowed Jesus to walk free. Our Heavenly Father saw to it that every part of His prophetic Word would come to pass, and then at the appointed time, the sacrifice would be exactly as God stated that it would, even from the Garden of Eden.

Genesis 3:15 "And I [God] will put enmity between thee [Satan] and the woman [Eve],and between thy seed [the Kenites] and her Seed [Jesus Christ]; It [Christ] shall bruise thy[Satan's] head, and thou [Satan offsprint the Kenites] shalt bruise His [Christ's] heel."

This is exactly what happened when Jesus Christ went to the cross, and the nails were driven through Jesus feet. Jesus was the perfect offering, and never again would a lamb need to be slain for that sins of anyone. Through Christ's death on the cross, Satan's death sentence was made final, and shall be carried out after judgment day.

"He shall see His seed" is in reference to the final generation, the generation that lives at the time of the generation of the fig tree. The comfort that was sent is the Holy Spirit, and the salvation that came has prospered every day since then. Thate prosperity comes for us, at repentance, when all of our sins are washed away, and we can stand before our Heavenly Father free from the guilt of sin.

Isaiah 53:11 "He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall My righteous Servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities."

Those that shall see the travail of the Lord, shall be satisfied in his or her soul. It doesn't say body, but the conviction of our mind and heart. Our Heavenly Father was not disappointed that His only begotten Son was offered for the sins of those that would believe on him. God had offered Himself for His own creation, who was man. God created man for His good pleasure, and then gave of Himself to save the very ones that would give pleasure to Him.

It is through the knowledge given in His very Word, we are instructed how to live in these flesh bodies. We can learn how to survive and cleanse ourselves not only in the physical realm but in the spiritual. God gave us a new covenant at the foot of the cross, a promise that He would never leave you, nor turn His back on you when you follow His ways. God's Word will not just protect you, but it shall protect your family also, when you listen to His instructions to you.

Isaiah 53:12 "Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

When Jesus bare the sins of many, He did not have any of His own. This is why we must go through Jesus when we seek forgiveness for our sins, He is our intercessor. He is the only way to our Heavenly Father.

John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me."

This is why we must pray in His name, and ask all of our requests in Jesus name, for that is the only name under heaven whereby we must be saved.

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.  We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
