IsaiahCaution to students of God's Word - Please remember two things when using our studies: #1. Our commentary is not God's Word. It is only our interpretation or understanding of "His Word" and even though we try our best to be accurate we may or may not be correct. #2. The King James translation, or any other translation, of the original Hebrew text has some words which were given different translations at different places probably because of the interpreters preconceived ideas of what they think God meant to say. For example: According to the notes in the "Dake's Annotated Reference Bible" the Hebrew word hayah in the KJV is Trans. (became) 67 times, (becamest or came to pass) 505 times, (become) 66 times, and (come to pass) 131 times, but for some reason in Genesis 1:2 it is translated (was)! That sure changes the way a person perceives the original creation of the earth, doesn't it? Gen. 1:2 And the earth was (became) without form, ... Having said that, let us continue with our "Key Knowledge" lessons. These are pamphlets containing knowledge, we believe, you must have to fully and accurately unlock and understand the Word of God.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is
come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John
16:13-14
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he
will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [14] He
shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto
you.

Without the leading by the Holy Spirit, there is no understanding of the truths, for all the truth of the Scriptures are revealed to us by God's Spirit.
Now here is our revised study ofIsaiah
Chapter 42
"Anti-type. Messiah [1-17]; God's Controversy with Israel [18-25]."
This chapter shows the type that Cyrus would play, the type of the Messiah.
Isaiah 42:1 "Behold My Servant, Whom I uphold; Mine elect, in Whom My soul delighteth; I have put My spirit upon Him: He shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles."
"My Servant" is the Messiah, and the person speaking here is God the Father Almighty. The "Spirit" that shall be sent is the Holy Spirit. The judgment that shall be brought forth is to the Gentile "nations". God is explaining here how He had bridged from the beginning His righteousness.
At the destruction that took place when Satan had rebelled and one third of the angels followed him, God destroyed that first earth age, and all that were part of it. Then God created this second age, where by all souls would be born through the womb of woman. In God's plan each soul would be born innocent of that past age, and have the opportunity to chose for themselves whether they would follow God, or Satan. In this earth age of the flesh you can follow anything you desire, the traditions of men, some object like a rock or tree, or you can love Jesus Christ. It is your choice.
However, God sent a righteous Judge and Savior in Jesus Christ. Judgment to those that love God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ is rewards, and those rewards are offered to Gentiles as well as the Jew and Christian. The thing that matters whether you receive those rewards is your right-standing before the Father, and that only comes through His Son Jesus Christ. There is only one way to The Father and that is through our faith in believing in His Son, and our repentance through the shed blood of Christ. The rewards come only by earning them, and many Gentiles have earned the rewards that they will receive.
Isaiah 42:2 "He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause His voice to be heard in the street."
He shall not strive [cry] in the streets when He comes, or did come, and we know this to be true because Jesus Christ was a very gentle and understanding man with all persons that came to Him. He did not come that first time to conquer the world, but He came born of the virgin Mary, a helpless little baby in His first advent.
Isaiah 42:3 "A bruised reed shall He not break, and the smoking flax shall He not quench: He shall bring forth judgment unto truth."
Jesus was so gentle at His first coming that even the most weak person He was gentle with. This verse deals with two items that are extremely frail, the bruised reed, and the smoking flax. The smoking flax is in reference to the wick in a lantern that brings the oil to burn, and burns the oil to the point of being soot and ash. When the flame has burned the wick way down, if you are not careful you can put that flame out very easy. If you barely touch the wick after it has been burned the entire wick is destroyed instantly. Our heavenly Father is showing us that when a person/s life has been placed in such a condition, Jesus could mend that life through His judgment, which is the truth of His Word.
When Jesus Christ touches your life, even when it is gone by the ways of the world, He can still touch our heart and guide you with out dimming what little light that is left to your wick. Christ can bring your life back to a full flame as a witness to the living God.
A reed is quite strong until it is broken, and after it is bruised it doesn't take much to blow it over. Just the smallest pressure or wind will break it off completely. If your life is like the broken reed, Christ will not finish the break in the reed, but He will mend it to be strong as before. So we see that in the first advent of Christ's coming, He was very gentle, and His spirit is, when It touches you even today. His justice will make right those that were wronged.
Isaiah 42:4 "He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till He have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for His law."
When Jesus Christ comes back to this earth at the seventh and last trumpet, all the souls on the earth will "wait" for His law. "Wait" in the Hebrew test is #3176 in Strong's Hebrew dictionary, and is, "the prime root, to be patient, and hope, and trust" on God's law that will be brought. When God came that first time, He stated in Matthew 5:17 that He did not come to destroy the law but to fulfill it.
Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill."
Matthew 5:18 "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
Matthew 5:19 "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Many ordinances and statutes were fulfilled in Christ's death on the cross, because Christ became that offering.
Isaiah 42:5 "Thus saith God, the Lord, He who created the heavens, and stretched them out; He who spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; He who giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk in:it:"
Try to understand the magnificence of our Heavenly Father. Our Lord YHVH created the heavens and stretched them out before our eyes. He made the earth that we walk on, and gave the physical life to each soul at conception, and placed a spirit in each soul. We are living in His universe, and walking on God's earth, and living in the bodies that God has made through the processes of His life. The spirit is the intellect of the soul, and God made man whole and complete in body, soul and spirit for the purpose of giving him pleasure, however He also gave us the right to go our own way down the path which leads to destruction. It is your choice. God gave you your life and soul in this flesh body, and God will recover that soul and spirit when you return to Him upon your death in the flesh. The flesh will return to the dust of the earth that it came from.
Ecclesiastes 12:7 "Then shall the dust [flesh body] return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God Who gave it."
God will give to your spirit His Spirit, the Holy Spirit if you walk in His way.
Isaiah 42:6 "I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the People, for a light of the Gentiles;"
When God calls you, it is for the right reasons. This is our Hevenly Father speaking, and He gave us this Messiah, and He would become the light of the world. This is the reason that Jesus would say in John 8:12;
John 8:12 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
When that light comes, darkness is dispelled and when Christ comes into ones life, the darkness that Satan gives must leave. The two can not exist together. Jesus Christ was the light for all peoples, for all races at all times and that includes all the Gentiles that have the eyes to see and the ears to hear and understand, and Repent of their sins in Jesus name.
Isaiah 42:7 "To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisons from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house."
From the time of this writing in 712 B.C. to all the way back to Noah's time, God had not sent a Messiah to free the prisoners from their bondage that they were held in. Then at the coming of Jesus Christ, and His death on the cross, at repentance we can have that forgiveness. So everyone up until the time of the crucifixion, the oblation for all times, they were all prisoners held in bondage because there was no one that was born perfect. To be saved under the law you have to have perfection, and in breaking just one of the laws, you have broken them all.
God tells us that Enoch and Elijah had overcome and God took them, but all others had not overcome. We are told in I Peter 3:18-20 that Christ went all the way back to the beginning to preach to these souls that were held in bondage.
I Peter 3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:"
I Peter 3:19 "By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison,"
I Peter 3:20 "Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is eight souls were saved by water."
They were prisoners to their own sins, all the way back to the beginning; and Christ preached to them even while He was in the tomb. Thus naturally all those that believed on Him were freed.
Isaiah 42:8 "I am the Lord: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images."
"I am" comes from the sacred name "I AM THAT I AM", and in the Hebrew tongue it is "ehyeh `asher `ehyeh". When Moses asked God who should I say sent Me this was His answer.
Exodus 3:13 "And Moses said unto God, "Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, `The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you;' and they shall say to me, `What is His name?' what shall I say unto them?"
Exodus 3:14 "And God said unto Moses, "I AM THAT I AM:" and He said, "Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, `I am hath sent me unto you.' "
God's glory is in His name, and if you like to stray off into false religions and traditions you are not giving God any praise. When you bow to graven images you defile yourself. God the Father sent His Son in the flesh, and in His name we can find salvation, not in any graven image.
Isaiah 42:9 "Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them."
Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that in His Word He tells us of the things that shall come to pass before they happen. When you read and study His Word and know what is to come it take fear from your life. When you know what tomorrow will bring then you can prepare yourself for those events so you can deal with them. That is the comfort that we have in Christ and knowing His Word. There are no secrets to those have the eyes to see and understand His Word.
Fulfilled prophecies of the Old Testament assures us in our generation that what He has spoken of, for our generation, will also come to pass exactly as they are written. The final generation is the generation of the parable of the fig tree, and that is the generation that we live in today. That generation started when both the "good and bad figs" the people of the tribe of Judah, as well as those Kenites that were mixed with them, went back to Palestine to establish the tiny nation we call Israel. God then lets us know before hand exactly what signs and events will take place in that generation before Jesus Christ returns. That is our Heavenly Father's gentle touch, and the power of His Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 42:10 "Sing unto the Lord a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof."
"Isles" can mean all nations that are across the waters, both here and there. God is saying that there is a new song that all the people will sing at Jesus Christ's return. That song that all people who have the victory sing is recorded in Deuteronomy 32:1-43, and is called the song of Moses. It is the same song refered to in Revelation 15:3, and it is not a new song, for Moses taught it to the Israelites before they entered the promise land.
Revelation 15:3 "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints."
Isaiah 42:11 "Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains."
"Kedar" in the Hebrew means "black skin". This is talking about the people from all over the earth. The word "rock" in the Hebrew text is "cela", and it means "the fortress, or "strong hold" of the children of Easu, and even they will be singing songs unto the Lord. It looks forward to the time when the Messiah returns, and all the people of all nations shall sing and shout to the glory of God. The time is the second coming of the Lord, whin Christ shall come as King of kings and Lord of lords. He is not coming to ride on that little donkey, but on a great white horse to being war and vengeance on all that oppose Him. He will come with all power, and an iron rod to correct all that oppose Him.
Isaiah 42:12 "Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare His praise in the islands."
The only way the distant places and island will know is if God's Word is brought to them. It is God's servants that bring it there to them.
Isaiah 42:13 "The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: He shall cry, yea, roar; He shall prevail against His enemies."
The Lord was gentle and meek in His first advent, however He shall go forth as a mighty man when He returns. God is coming this time to break many reeds, and smash His enemies. They will all be avenged and done away with, as all evil shall be removed from the earth for the Millennium age that shall start.
Isaiah 42:14 "I have long time holden My peace; I have been still, and refrained Myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once."
God is telling us that for a long time He has held His peace and allowed the evil to come to pass, and It was difficult for Him. We are seeing some of the emotions of our Heavenly Father here, and it is important to pay attention. The "travailing woman" is in reference to the birth of a new age. When He comes this destruction will be quick, like the wink of an eye.
I Corinthians 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling [wink] of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
Jesus Christ is not coming back in that gentle form the next time, but with all the power of the universe. The change that shall take place is the end of the flesh age, for all flesh shall be done away with, instantly, faster then you can wink your eye, all flesh shall be changed into their incorruptable bodies that they will have for the next thousand year period. It will be a time of learning and discipline.
God is jealous of His bride, and those that have taken advantage of Her. That bride is His church, those that love Him and have not been taken by Satan the Antichrist, who is coming first. God is jealous of those that persecute those that teach His Word as it ought to be taught, chapter by chapter and verse by verse.
II Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
God does not desire that men perish, but he knows that many will turn from Him. He is willing to give mankind sufficent time to make up their minds and come to repentance. God does not take pleasure in doing away with any of His children, but He is a just God.
II Peter 3:10 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
The "elements" that shall melt away at His coming are the evil rudiments. Those things of idolatry and the roots of evil doings. God will correct the incorrect things of this earth, and those works and objects that man uses to place before God. Those works are what is going to be burned up. The flesh body will be done away with as all souls that remain on the earth shall be changed instantly into their new incorruptable bodies that they will be in for the thousand year Millennium age.
Any person that places their false religions and doctrines over God's Word needs a little shock treatment, and this is their shock treatment.
Isaiah 42:15 "I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools."
This should reminding us of Revelation 21:1; "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea."
Revelation 21:2 "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."
This verse lets us know that we are in the eternity when this verse happens. All the oceans and rivers and lakes are dried up.
Isaiah 42:16 "And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them."
God will correct His children, and they will all see the light of His Word in the Millennium age. They will see the truth and understand it perfectly, and that is why those that are saved out of the Millennium age sill be saved by their works only, at are recorded in the books. this is recorded in Revelation 20:12, 13. This does not apply to those that were saved in this earth age, and did not worship Satan, by taking His name and number. The works of those saved through repentance in the Blood of Christ by their faith in this earth age, will receive their rewards includinf that reward of eternal life either upon their death of the flesh, or upon the coming of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 20:12 "And I saw the dead [spiritaully dead], small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
Revelation 20:13 "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works."
This is after the Millennium age that the judgment comes and the works are the works that were preformed during the Millennium age when you had full knowledge of His Word. The "dead" are the spiritually dead from the age of the flesh that we are living in today. They are the ones that became part of Satan's system, and took on the mark of the beast.
Revelation 20:14 "and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."
Death is another name for Satan, as we read in Hebrews 2:14, and those in hell are those placed there to be held through the Millennium age for the time of Judgment. All those that choose through the Millennium age to follow Satan when he is released for that short season after the Millennium age will also accompany Satan to hell fire where their soul will be turned to ashes from within, and even the memory of them shall be gone from the minds of their loved ones. The first death is the death of your flesh body, while the second death is final, it is the death of your soul for ever. It will be as if you had never existed.
Many in this age will have the spirit of slumber placed upon them for their own protection, and they will worship the false messiah. This is done because had they known who Satan was, and then worshipped him, refusing to allow the Holy Sppirit to speak through them, there would be no forgiveness for their soul. Paul talks about this in Romans 11:7-10.
Romans 11:7 "What then, Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded"
Romans 11:8 "(According as it is written, "God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear";) unto this day."
Romans 11:9 "And David saith, "Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:"
To most church houses today, their snare is their traditions such as their rapture doctrines that teach them to be taken by the first christ that comes to fly them away. That false messiah is Satan that will come to rule over his one world system.
Romans 11:10 "Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway."
Those that were blinded in this age of the flesh will be taught in the Millennium age, for they will see and understand clearly in their new incorruptable bodies. God sent that delusion upon them because they chose to believe a lie. They chose it through their traditions.
Isaiah 42:17 "They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, `Ye are our gods.' "
Those that were blinded in this earth age will worship the Antichrist in ignorance and they will be turned back and greatly ashamed. They will come to realize what they have done by worshipping their graven images, whether it be their idols and things placed before God, or their traditions that lead them to Satan. Many will say when they read this, "Am I glad we don't have that in our church." Yet they have let all sorts of heathen religious thought slip into their traditions and religious doctrine. Although they cannot see it now, the time will come where it shall all be plain to them.
Most churches have replaced the passover with the easter bunny and the things of the feast of Ishtar [easter], and they are not even aware of it. Ishtar was the fertility queen of the ancient Sumerian religion, and Ishtar is no where in the manuscripts. It is only mentioned one time in the King James version, where it was mistranslated by a scribe. The Greek world that easter was taken from is "Passover". Paul told us that Christ became our "passover".
I Corinthians 5:7 "Purge out therefore te old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrifieced for us:"
I Corinthians 5:8 "Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."
When Christ was crucified, He became our passover for one and all times. Today many churches have fertility rites, and call it Christian, but it isn't. Boiled eggs will never hurt you, but allowing false religion to slip into your worship will condemn your soul. It can happen in ignorance, and you will never be aware of it. This shows us how easily that one can be deceived.
Isaiah 42:18 "Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see."
God is saying that it is your choice whether you want to see or not. The truth is written in His word, and the Holy spirit will reveal it to you when you seek Him and ask for the help.
Isaiah 42:19 "Who is blind, but My servant? or deaf, as My messenger that I sent: who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord servant?"
This is saying, "Who is blind as My servant?" Those that call themselves God's servants are deaf and blind and they can't see and hear the truth when it is presented to them. God's servants and messengers are the preachers and priest that are suppose to feed God's Word to their flocks, and they are blind to the truth. Why? Because they are teaching the systems that they have been taught in their seminaries, and not the Word of God.
There are some that do teach as the Word should be taught, However many are filling the pulpits for the sake of a salary, a pension, a medical plan or any one of many other reasons. Those reasons are known only to our Heavenly Father.
Many think that they are God's gift to humanity, however they teach heathen practices in this final generation, and allow the ancient heathen customs to work their way into Christianity on Passover, on the highest day of the year. On the very day that Christ died for our sins, they are putting on their fine bonnets and peddling their easter eggs, and thinking that it is righteous before God.
Are you deaf and blind, or do you see where we have come from? Do you want to hear the truth, or are you looking for the flatteries of this world?
Isaiah 42:20 "Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not."
You have to ask the Father to release the scales from your eyes and get into His Word for understanding.
Isaiah 42:21 "The Lord is well pleased for His righteousness' sake; He will magnify the law, and make it honourable."
Isaiah 42:22 "But this is a People robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, "Restore."
The people of today don't know that they have been robbed and spoiled. Their houses that they live in have become their prisons through usuary and taxes. If you want to have that beautiful house you are going to have to work for it. Then when you move into that house, you become a prisoner to that house for the next thirty years, and to the Kenite banker that lent you the money. Though the cost on the bill of sale said one hundred thousand, when you take your monthly payments times your total years of payments, that actual cost is well over two and a half times the cost of the house. Then each layer of government wants their part of your wage also, to where in the end there isn't much left over for you.
They are snarred in holes, and robbed and spoiled. The holes that we are snarred in we have allowed to happen to ourselves. We are robbed and spoiled because we have turned ourselves over to these Kenites and their hidden dynasties to do as they wish. In ignorance we allow them to go on because we are to blind to see past their lies and deceptions. This is only going to get worse until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ when we will be set free. It is the pretty things of this life in the flesh that they uses to imprison us, and our quest to desire everything that we see. Our own pride causes us to do things that our mind knows is not good for us.
The only way to come out of this is to restore ourselves to the truth of His Word, and follow the way that He has set forth. His Word will help us to avoid those snares and holes, of this world.
Isaiah 42:23 "Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?"
It is up to you whether you will become part of the confusion of the world and the things that draw people in. Are you focused on the times that we are in, and the fact of those things that are written in His Word, that we will face. That is the only way to prevent your falling into them.
Isaiah 42:24 "Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers: did not the Lord, He against Whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in His ways, neither were they obedient unto His law."
Do you know who gave Jacob to the Kenites and allowed them to spoil God's people? It is the Lord that has allowed the Kenites to do what they are doing, and the reason for this is that we have turned our backs to Him. You have allowed yourself to sin in ignorance, and you have chose to remain ignorant. That sin is going against God's Word, and not even studying to understand His Word. God gave us His laws and commandments, and our people have chosen to replace those laws and commandments with their own religious forms. On the whole today, our people are biblically illiterate.
Isaiah 42:25 "Therefore He hath poured upon him the fury of His anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart."
God does not like what is going on today. As our people are getting burned in their pocket books and lied to on every level, the people still don't know who is doing the burning nor why. God is allowing Satan's kids to have a hay-day with Christians because they have chose to remain ignorant of His Word. Today we see that people don't know right from wrong, and the Kenite courts so distort and make over the truth that right becomes wrong, and what is presented as the truth is nothing but a lie. We see in in the press, the schools, the government and the churches. We even see dishonesty within the homes between family members. Today marriages are treated with no more respect then buying a car. What God has put together as a sacred thing, our people are spitting upon; is it any wonder that God will pour out our Lord the fury of His anger.
The battle time is coming very shortly, and this earth is about to undergo a great scourging. This is going to be both spiritually and physically, and you had better get your priorities in order before it is too late. When you listen to the traditions of man, you don't know when you are getting burnt or not. That burning by God is the consuming fire spoken of in Hebrews 12:29. Almighty God is the consuming fire. However, those that love God, and know His Word, that same fire, the Holy Spirit is what will warm your soul and protect you at all times. It is your choice as to whether that fire will consume you, or warm your heart.
