Caution to students of God's Word - Please remember two things when using our studies: #1. Our commentary is not God's Word. It is only our interpretation or understanding of "His Word" and even though we try our best to be accurate we may or may not be correct. #2. The King James translation, or any other translation, of the original Hebrew text has some words which were given different translations at different places probably because of the interpreters preconceived ideas of what they think God meant to say. For example: According to the notes in the "Dake's Annotated Reference Bible" the Hebrew word hayah in the KJV is Trans. (became) 67 times, (becamest or came to pass) 505 times, (become) 66 times, and (come to pass) 131 times, but for some reason in Genesis 1:2 it is translated (was)! That sure changes the way a person perceives the original creation of the earth, doesn't it? Gen. 1:2 And the earth was (became) without form, ... Having said that, let us continue with our "Key Knowledge" lessons. These are pamphlets containing knowledge, we believe, you must have to fully and accurately unlock and understand the Word of God.

Without the leading by the Holy Spirit, there is no understanding of the truths, for all the truth of the Scriptures are revealed to us by God's Spirit.

Isaiah 3:1 "For, behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,"

This is a continuation of chapter two, and as we read in Isaiah 2:1, it is looking far forward into the future to the last days, and what will happen in the time of the end. We are living in the days of this prophecy, and thus this nation Judah has already been established politically, and thus it is looking to the political ruin that shall come upon Judah, or as we call her today, "the nation of Israel". It is at this time we will start to see that the one world political system will be centered in Jerusalem, and it will be from Jerusalem that this world wide political system will receive the deadly wound. So this is speaking of that world political system that is centered here as the Antichrist appears. This is a close up on what you and I will see in the very near future, as given by Almighty God Himself, at the pen of Isaiah.

In the Hebrew, when you are given a double noun, it is an expression meaning it is considering all foods By saying "stay and the staff", and "bread and the water" you are saying the same thing. God is letting you know that He, the Lord of the hosts, is going to take it away from them and they are going to starve. He is saying that the political and spiritual situation that is coming from Jerusalem, the world rule will die. God is going to destroy that political system with a deadly wound.

Isaiah 3:2 "The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,"

So within the political system that shall be destroyed by God, there will be more taken then just the staff and the stay, the bread and the water. Also destroyed will be the mighty man, the soldiers, the judges and the prophets and all the people; all of it. I would not get too excited over this new world order, for God has condemned it before it even gets out the gate. This is not all that will be done away with, for understand the entire realm that God includes in the destruction of that political system that will be run from Jerusalem in our generation.

Isaiah 3:3 "The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator."

The captain of fifty are the military leaders, and the honorable man who is honorable to the world and not to God, and we see that God is zeroing in on the highly educated here. God is saying that "I am going to destroy it, I have a place for it." Those men that have tried to eliminate God from the face of the earth are going to have a very sad awaking very soon. When they see the very one that they have tried to destroy, and Christ's majesty and power they will truly be humbled and ashamed of the wicked words they have spoken. They will not question, "Is there a God and heaven?", for they will know absolutely.

Isaiah 3:4 "And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them."

God is telling you here who is going to take the place of those wise counsellors, eloquent orators and honorable men. It is the children. They will be ruled by men with minds of babies. Does it sound familiar as you look at the political leaders of today? When you are in the midst of children with a sack of candy, they all have their hands out, and the mind of a child demands their own personal satisfaction and gain first. What is important to them is what can I get, what will you give me? Our leaders, not only of America, but the entire world, are existing with the mind of babes. This has come to pass, and these so called wise men of today running our nation and they are selling their own people and nation out for a morsel of bread. They are selling their own grandchildren into bondage for trinkets and the pleasures of today.

Common sense is not present in our governmental houses of today. Like a child's mind, they give away what they do not have, and obligate their own children to pay for their wants and whims. Stop and look at the words and actions of our so-called leaders; their words have no more meaning then and child who does not know right from wrong, and their actions are that of a spoiled child. The leaders as well as the people have turned away from our Heavenly Father, from whom all blessings flow, and and they want to turn to socialism.

Isaiah 3:5 "And the People shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable."

The "base" is the criminal. This is saying that the people will be so confused that they will not know right from wrong, the left from the right, and everything will be turned up-side-down, and back-side-front. Things that are according to God's holy Word will be considered wrong, and what is evil and filthy to be considered good and just. This again comes when you have men with babies minds ruling, and making judgments for the people.

Isaiah 3:6 "When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, "Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:"

What this is saying is; though we are poor and have nothing, they will look to their brother and say, you look nice with your fine cloths, you rule. What is wrong with that? The leaders are selected by their neighbors to rule on the bases of appearance and not their abilities of common sense and good judgment.

Stop and think for a moment. If you went to a counsellor for advise, which would you choose? One man has much wisdom in God's Word and is extremely knowledgeable and you know cares about you. This man is dressed in work cloths. The other man is dressed in a three piece suit with a mind like a baby. He has no common sense, and when he talks no intelligence comes from his mouth. Which would you choose as your counsellor? Of course if you have any sense at all you will chose the one that is able to give you good counsel.

The point of this verse is that in the latter days they will choose their counsel because of his common dress, and not because of his common sense. God is telling you that this is what is going to happen in the political realm in the latter days, when the new world order comes to power. Don't judge somebody by their looks. It is also what political campaigns are run on today.

Editor's note: Boy, is this not a description of our government today? And we "like it so"! We keep electing these people! Question, Why is that?

Answer, Because, WE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM as the leaders we elect! A mind like a baby/immature adult!
Give me! Give me! Give me!

And we buy into that crap, and pull their lever at the voting booth. Well let me tell you, the only people who pay, are the ones who work for their livelihood, but are not in a position to set prices on the things you need to buy. The rich don't fall into this category, they raise pricing on those things you can't do without, to cover the higher tax!
So the next time a politician says he'll make the rich pay the bill, check the cost of a loaf of bread; it's going up!

Isaiah 3:7 "In that day shall he sware, saying, "I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people."

To understand what this "bread" is of the latter days, we have to go to Amos 8:11; "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord."

In the time of the fall of this political beast, the famine is not for what you eat, but for the hearing of the true Word of God. Those without clothing, refused to have the clothing that God instructs you to have on and in place in that day. If you intend to stand against the false christ in that day, that clothing is what is your wall of protection, and that clothing is your spiritual protective armor as recorded in Ephesians 6:10-20. It is the "gospel armor" that makes you well qualified to be a true servant of God to the world. You become properly dressed by putting that armor, which is the Word of God placed in your mind through your correct study of His Word.

When you understand God's Word to the point of understanding the events and times that we are in you will not be deceived. You can then lead others in that understanding and those wicked spiritual darts that Satan and the world will throw your way, will not harm you in any manner. In the days coming upon us, you will lead not from the words out of your own mind, but the words placed in your mind by the Spirit of God. That is to be properly dressed, and the adult Christian mind that follows God will be judging and counselling at that time.

Isaiah 3:8 "For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of His glory."

This is the cause of the fall of Jerusalem and Judah, what they are doing and saying is against the Lord their God. Their words and their deeds will document that they are against God. If you have eyes to see and ears to hear and understand the Word of God and see these things come to pass, you can't help but see God glory in it all. What was written down some twenty six hundred years ago is coming to pass right before our very eyes, and we can see the glory of God in that God keeps his word and controls the course of history. He sets nations up and brings them down, and in the end, God and only Him will bring this one world political system together for the sake of testing proud and sinful man. Thank God if you can look around you and see these men and women rulers with babies minds and no common sense.

For the past seventy, or so, years half of the world has been fighting the evils of Communism that have bound billions of people. Millions of men and women in the free world have fought and died to protect our freedoms. We have seen the evils of that Godless system, and in the end the destruction of that system came from within. Yet, as there is not one adult in America that has not heard of the evils of that system, we see that our nation, as well as the rest of the free world has thrown its common sense away. They are turning to the same form of evil socialism that they personally watched die from within in the Soviet nations. Socialism is Communism for there is not a dimes worth of difference between them. However these so-called rulers with babies minds are trying to put us right back into the same political form as the system that ruled half the world, and fell apart in three days. It won't work, and that is why the political beast of the end times will fall apart.

The system self-destructs because of the very nature of people, they are lazy and seek something for nothing. They take from the society without giving back to it. In a democracy the majority rules, and in the socialistic frame of mind, you want the majority of the people to be illiterate and lazy, for it then is through them that your power comes, and in the end it destroys the very source of the wealth of the nation. You lose the quality of the work, and the ability to maintain the level of maintainance required for a productive society. That is what socialism breeds.

Isaiah 3:9 "The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves."

You can tell what kind of people Sodomites are by just looking in their face. They continue to bring evil on themselves. When these wicked people talk and promote their life style of Sodomy and all the other wickness and filth, they try to pass it off as normal. You can see their pride and commitment in their face that they take in their wicked deeds. Today Sodomy is becoming politically correct, and this is a prime example of men and women with babies heads on them.

Isaiah 3:10 "Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings."

God is telling you that everybody in the end will get their just rewards.
You will reap the fruit of your own doings; to the Sodomite it is poor health, and Aids that will claim their life. However to the just and righteous there will also be fruits of the good of their labor.

Isaiah 3:11 "Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him."

Isaiah 3:12 "As for My People, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My People, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths."

It is not right that the translators use the word "women" here, for in the Hebrew it says the "weaker people" will rule over them. It is your teachers that will cause you to error and stray from the path God's Word teaches. What kind of teacher do you have? Do you have a qualified teacher in your church? One verse wonders just won't cut it. If you do not have God's Word and understanding you simply will not have God's blessings. The good teacher understands the complete plan of God, and he knows from where all blessings flow. He has the common sense from God's Word, rather then the traditions of men.

God is now telling you not to rely on these people to get you ready; you think for yourself and use common sense. Get into His Word and prepare yourself, for it doesn't take much to out think the leaders of our nation today. It is up to you personally to chose the ways of God, over the ways of man.

Isaiah 3:13 "The Lord standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people."

This word "plead" would be better translated "to accuse". God doesn't plead with anybody for He lets you know what the law is, and you make up your own mind as to what you will do and commit to. The price has been paid for your sins through the Son of God, and you will either take it by faith through repentance, or you will reject that gift offered to you. God expects you to follow all of His laws and commandments, except for a ordinance that has been fulfilled in the blood of Jesus Christ, who paid the ransom for our sins.

This is one of the hardest things to understand in the flesh. This whole earth age of the flesh, is God giving to His children, the opportunity individually to decide whether they will chose to follow God or Satan. However when you chose to ignore God, you automatically choose Satan. God will not interfere in any life unless He is asked into the life of those that have free will. This does not apply to the election, but God expects you to make a choice on your own. The persons with fake love and a false commitment are going to be destroyed in the end of the Millennium age.

Isaiah 3:14 "The Lord will enter into judgment with the ancients of His People, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses."

Many of those that have sat in church leadership positions not only today, but also in the time of the ancients have used their positions to fill their own pockets for personal gain. They have sheared the sheep in the dead of winter, leaving them out in the spiritual cold, and God is letting us know here that those that do this shall not get away with anything. There are no unsolved mysteries and hidden secrets with God and all those violations will be accounted for.

Isaiah 3:15 "What mean ye that ye beat My People to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor?" saith the Lord God of hosts."

This again is addressed to the religious leaders, and God doesn't like it when you insult His People and treat them as if they are nothing. This is done all the time when a church pastor, or one in a high religious position talks down on those that are spiritual babes in Christ. It is a form of spiritual pride.

Isaiah 3:16 "Moreover the Lord saith, "Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:"

Though this verse is referring to the daughters of Zion, when God refers to them as "their" it is in the masculine in the Hebrew. In the biblical sense it is in reference to a woman doing the part of a man. Although this is talking about daughters, in the spiritual sense and is looking forward to the time of a wedding where the bride includes both men and women. So the man that is used here as daughter, is in the spiritual sense a harlot, becoming rich by the deeds that he is doing. He becomes a wealthy harlot in his peddling Satan's wares presented as being of God.

Isaiah 3:17 "Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts."

The word "scab" in the Hebrew text is "to scrape out", and God is going to scrape out those things that you are trying to hide. He is going to allow you to take your evil deeds to the limit, and then cause the destruction to come upon you by the deeds that you have done. Remember, though it is saying "daughters", this is in a spiritual sense and includes men also. An example of this is when a person thinks they can mess around in sodomy, God will scrape out their immune system, and leave them open to diseases such as Aids. The secret parts are those parts of your physical body that will show the sins that they have done in private. It may be your complexion, your central nervous system, your hearing or eye sight, or any one of many things that can be destroyed in the secret parts of your body.

God said that He would do this in the latter days, and we can see that it is done. The effects of man's sin can be seen world wide, yet man still scoffs at the warning that God has given. It takes a pretty stupid person to not understand what God is talking about here. As millions continue to die of Aids and other related sickness related to Sodomy, the political correct thing today is to turn your head the other way, and focus on other things such as smoking, environment, and whatever else that can get the focus of their filthy acts. God is going to allow you to suffer the penalty for your scoffing at His Word.

Isaiah 3:18 "In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,"

"In that day" is the day that we are now living in, and it is the final generation. God is going to take away the harlot's guard [bravery], the chains around their ankles and their earrings, their cauls [caps] and their headbands to tie their hair in place. Those things that people dress themselves up to be what they are not.

Isaiah 3:20 "The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,"

The word "tablets" here must draw our attention, for in the Hebrew text it reads "houses of the soul". The houses of the soul are those places that you seek out to find comfort for your soul. What kind of place does your soul find comfort and pleasure in? God is making it very clear what is going to be taken away upon His return, and He can read the intent of your mind.

You can't help notice the earrings again, for that is one of the most common femine objects that men are now waring in these latter days. Remember that these objects are placed on not the daughters but the men, and God is marking it as a sign of the latter days.

The huge goddy rings and those small femine nose jewels are also becoming very common even in the sports world where men are suppose to be showing their manhood. The reason for nose rings was to tame the bulls and keep them at home, but today it is a sign of the loseness of the person wearing the object. It is all signs of heathenism, and playing the part of the harlot. God doesn't like it.

Isaiah 3:22 "The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,"

This is also quite obvious today, where simply by the wearing of an apparel and certain clothing you present yourself to be something you are not. Your mantles are your coats, but the wimples are things that you bind your neck with. The idea was quite common amongst the wealthy in old England.

Isaiah 3:23 "The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails."

When our heavenly Father is uncovering the secret parts of ones life, the mirrors are very important to the one committing the sin, so that he can observe himself in action. The fine linen, hoods, and vails are the fancy undergarments used when doing those things in secret.There is nothing wrong with looking nice for your wife or she for you, but doing it to partake in harlotry against the Word of God is something else. Spiritually speaking this is looking forward to when the false christ comes, and those so-called christians go dressing up religiously to go whoring after the false-christ. They will be presenting themselves as the bride to the wrong husband.

Isaiah 3:24 "And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty."

These things are given for a spiritual likeness of what shall happen when one plays the roll of the harlot to the wrong christ [Satan]. The things that are done to be so religious will be nothing more that a stink, and instead of a girdle to hold yourself in check, there will be a rope [rent] to bind you to Satan's ways and system.

The burning that will take place is the burning that will take place in those that have played the part of the harlot with Satan, at the return of the the true Christ. Paul refers to this in II Thessalonians 2:8 "And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:"

II Thessalonians 2:9 "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,"

II Thessalonians 2:10 "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

II Thessalonians 2:11 "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie."

II Thessalonians 2:12 "That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

This is what the burning is all about, and what will happen in our generation. Should we be surprised as we observe the wickedness taking place all around us? Well God has warned us that it would come to pass in our generation some twenty six hundred years ago. If people want to chase after these signs of wickedness that Satan and his people promote, God will send a strong delusion upon you, and you will believe the lies and be blinded to the truth. What do you find pleasure in today? It is time to stop and take inventory of ourselves, if you say that you love the Lord, and call yourself a Christian.

The "sword" is the Word of the Lord, and "the war" is the spiritual war that takes place in the latter days. That war is not with guns and tanks, but with words, and concepts. It is fought with bible verses and distortions of the truth. Satan will use deception and all his power and signs and lying wonders to trick you to follow him. In that final battle those Christians that do not have their spiritual gospel armor on and in place will play the roll of the woman, the harlot to Satan the Antichrist himself. When people are biblical illiterate they are very easily deceived.

Isaiah 3:26 "And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground."

There is one thing that God has made very clear in these first three chapters of Isaiah. God expects you individually and personally to get acquainted with His Word so that you will not be deceived. You do that today by checking out what is presented to you in God's Word, using a numbered concordance with a numbered Hebrew and Greek dictionary.

That old harlot church that goes whoring after the Antichrist, will sit on her throne thinking she is not a widow, but a queen. What she really is, is an old harlot, that plays the role of a whore to the wrong Christ in her ignorance. She sits there with her rings on, her braclets and earrings, and all the refineries to satisfy her husband the Antichrist, who is Satan himself.

There is a grand march of harlotry coming and the entire church world will join with all the other religions of the world to parade their wares before their new savior, the false christ, the "instead of christ", who is the Antichrist Satan. They will do what they do because they do it in ignorance of God's Word. However there will be those also who know the truth of God's Word, and will witness personally the actions that God is stating here. This is an exciting time to witness for Him, and prepare ourselves with understand concerning God's Word.

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals. We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
