THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TOCaution to students of God's Word - Please remember two things when using our studies: #1. Our commentary is not God's Word. It is only our interpretation or understanding of "His Word" and even though we try our best to be accurate we may or may not be correct. #2. The King James translation, or any other translation, of the original Hebrew text has some words which were given different translations at different places probably because of the interpreters preconceived ideas of what they think God meant to say. For example: According to the notes in the "Dake's Annotated Reference Bible" the Hebrew word hayah in the KJV is Trans. (became) 67 times, (becamest or came to pass) 505 times, (become) 66 times, and (come to pass) 131 times, but for some reason in Genesis 1:2 it is translated (was)! That sure changes the way a person perceives the original creation of the earth, doesn't it? Gen. 1:2 And the earth was (became) without form, ... Having said that, let us continue with our "Key Knowledge" lessons. These are pamphlets containing knowledge, we believe, you must have to fully and accurately unlock and understand the Word of God.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is
come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John
16:13-14
[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he
will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever
he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. [14] He
shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto
you.

Luke 11:1 "And it came to pass, that, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples."
The disciples saw Jesus always going off by himself to pray, and they had noticed that John the Baptist had taught his disciples how to pray. The disciples wanted to know how to pray and approach the heavenly Father by themselves. When Jesus Prayed, they had to sit over on the side and wait on Jesus' to finish praying. Many times the disciples simply fell asleep during the time they were waiting of Jesus to finish his prayers.
So as we read this instruction for prayer, keep in mind that prayer is respectively talking to, and communicating with our heavenly Father. Don't try to make some long written prayer to impress those listening to it. Especially if you did not write it yourself, for that is not coming from your heart, or mind. Be honest and talk directly to Him, for he can read your thoughts anyway. So when you pray, say what you have to say and put it in your own words. That is the kind of prayer our heavenly Father wants to hear from you.
Luke 11:2 "And He said unto them, When ye pray, say, `Our Father Which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth."
You pray to "our Father Which art in heaven", for that is where our Heavenly Father is. "Hallowed" or holy is His name. The kingdom is the King and His entire dominion; you are asking God and his dominion to come and be with you, right here on earth. Your pray should be for the will of God to be done in your life right here on earth, just as it is in heaven. God's will is His Word, and you are praying for the protection and guidance from His Word to direct every part of your life.
When you pray, let the Father know you are anxious for His return to us, as He has promised in Revelation 21, for His kingdom will be established right here on earth. So in another way, you say, "Father I am sure looking forward to your return to this earth, when Jesus shall come and bring His kingdom with Him. There is a crown waiting for those that look forward to that day.
Luke 11:3 "Give us day by day our daily bread."
Sure, we thank our Lord for the food that is set before us, to sustain these flesh bodies, but as a Christian, our daily bread is the bread of life, the Word of God. The Bread is His body, and that also is the written Word of God. We are to ask the Father to give us that Word daily, with the understanding that we can use it within our lives, daily. Then try to absorb what you study on a day by day bases, and go over it so it will become part of your daily life. The bread that you eat for your flesh body just doesn't stay with you very long, for five hours later, it is time to eat again. However the Bread of Life, The Word of God that we receive with understanding will stay with you the rest of your life.
Luke 11:4 "And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.' "
"And forgive us our sins;" our debts and trespasses; just as we forgive every one that is indebted to us. Do you really want God to treat you exactly like you treat those that are indebted to you for anything? This makes us look a little deeper into our own motives and intents. "Temptation" as used here means testing or trial. This is asking the Lord to keep the turmoil or testing away from us; but when that evil is around, ask God to remove it from your presence. Stop and think now, in Chapter ten God gave you power and authority over all your enemies and evil spirits. "Power" in the Greek was "dunimous", the same as dynamite. So if evil comes upon you, you allowed it to come upon yourself. Don't let anyone take advantage over you, not even evil spirits.
Luke 11:5 "And He said unto them, "Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, `Friend, lend me three loaves:"
Consider how thing were back in that day. It was common for people to travel at night, and when some friend would come to your home late, they would be hungry from the journey. So Jesus is reminding the disciples of these times that may have even happened to each of them. You couldn't run down to the store to buy food, so you went next door to the neighbor's house. Jesus continues with this form of reasoning with the disciples.
Luke 11:6 "For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?' "
When the knock comes at the door, you open it, and when you go to the kitchen, you find that you have no food in the house.
Luke 11:7 "And he from within shall answer and say, `Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.' "
When you run to the neighbor's house to get food, three loaves, your neighbor is thinking, "go away" trouble me not, we are all sound asleep. That neighbor would make up any excuse to get rid of you at that hour of the night. Again, this is an example that Jesus is using. It was not uncommon for the entire family to sleep all in one room, on pallets on the floor. So when he would get up, he might step on one of the children on the way to get the food. It was a lot of trouble to give the help.
Luke 11:8 "I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth."
At that moment in time, it just doesn't matter how good friends you were, that neighbor just doesn't want to be bothered. Jesus is trying to have us picture the heavenly Father as this neighbor, when you are asking the Father for something in your prayers. Especially if it is the Bread of Life that you are asking for. This Greek word used here for "importunity" is "anaideia" and it means shameless, or impudence. There is anxious expectation in the voice that asks for the favor or need. Father is telling you that when you ask for a favor, ask it with honesty and earnest expectation in your plea and voice, He will grant it to you. This isn't talking about all those things you want that are out of your financial reach, but bread, which is symbolically the bread that represents our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. When you pray for wisdom and understanding, ask like you mean it, then how can our Lord refuse you.
Luke 11:9 "And I say unto you, ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you."
This is the order of your prayer life, first you have to ask the Lord for what you desire, within the Will of God, then it is up to you to seek it, get the Bible out and study. If it is something to fill the needs of our life, it may require some work on your part, and remember that when you ask, you are inferior to God. You don't tell him what He is to do for you, for you are requesting His help. There is a feeling amongst some Christians today that just because they put money in the plate, that act filled a requirement to God, so now He has to fulfill their wish list.
Luke 11:10 "For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
If you think that all you have to do is ask, and there it is for you. That is not what this is saying. Again, the asking must be there, but just important is the second part, "he that seeketh, findeth." However without doing the seeking you will never find it. What is the "it" that is talked about here? Bread, Spiritual bread with the understanding and wisdom that comes with that spiritual bread. It is not talking about that new car. The knocking takes action on your part. You have to find the right door, and be able to knock on that door. Our Lord isn't behind every door, but He is behind His door, and to find that door, you have to follow the path up to His house. Jesus is that path. God will never just give you anything other than Salvation, which is already yours for the price has already been paid. The price was Jesus precious blood on the cross. But, truth, knowledge and wisdom, He will not give it to you until after you have done your homework, and done the work. God doesn't have paydays until after the work in your studies is finished. You earn wisdom and knowledge first, then you get it. Though this may sound like its in a financial sense, payment from God is applied to the spiritual sense. If you do your part to study, God will do His part of opening your mind to the truth from His Word. You got to get into the Word of God and dig for the truth, and then He will give the wisdom and understanding to you.
Luke 11:11 "If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?"
Jesus is asking his disciples to put yourself into the place of a human father. If a child will ask his father for bread, would that father give his child a stone to eat? Of course not. Any father will try to give his son exactly what he asks for. The bread symbolizes the truth, and the fish is the symbol for the "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God". That is why people today wear the cross and/or the form of a fish, to symbolize their belief in Jesus Christ. In the olden days they painted a fish on the building where Christians would meet. If you ask for direction to the house of God, He will not lead you into one of the devils houses.
Luke 11:12 "Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?"
Luke 11:13 "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?"
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, and our Heavenly Father wants to comfort all those that come to Him seeking comfort. That's how you pray, you pray and be honest with Him. You pray as a child would be talking to his or her father. Our Heavenly Father is the creator of your soul, and He deserves the honor and praise that we give to Him. The truth is what you need from the Father, for when you pray for the understanding of the truth, it teaches you how to acquire all the other things. Sure we ask the Father for things in our lives, but as we read above, we first must work for those thing. What value are things that you don't have to make an effort to achieve. When Jesus went ascended into heaven, on the fifteth day the Lord sent the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, to give us the understanding of His Truths, to know with clarity and can apply the written Word each day to our daily lives. So when you pray, ask Him for understanding.
Luke 11:14 "And He was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered."
This verse is saying that this man possessed this devil that made him dumb; he couldn't talk. When the devil came out of this man, he could talk.
Luke 11:15 "But some of them said, "He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils."
"Beelzebub", means the "lord of the flies", another name for Satan.
Luke 11:16 "And others, tempting Him, sought of Him a sign from heaven."
Those standing around watching Jesus command this devil to leave this dumb man, tempted Jesus by trying to get Him to admit that He was Messiah. Jesus had healed the sick, cast out devils, raised people from the dead, and made five loaves of bread and two fish to feed over five thousand people, and these people still can't see that Jesus is the Messiah. They still want a sign from Him.
Luke 11:17 "But He, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth."
Jesus could read their thoughts in their minds, and Jesus told them that no kingdom that is divided will stand, or family that is divided within itself can hold together. It just can't happen. If you have division within your home, that home will fall apart. Sure there will be disputes and arguments, but whether in a nation of a home, there are ways to settle disputes when they arise. That is what the court systems within a society is for, and that is why the father or mother takes a stand when the kids need direction in their lives. If there is no obedience to the laws or instructions, then there will be chaos in the family. So Jesus is answering here their suggestion that He is casting out demons in Satan's name.
Luke 11:18 "If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub."
In the same light, Jesus is saying; "if I can cast out devils in Beelzebub, or Satan's name, then his house must be in complete disorder." Jesus is asking them; "Would Satan do something to harm himself?" Satan will be very much in control of his kingdom until the end of this earth age of flesh man; then his time of rule will be over. However remember that Satan will also be released after that thousand year Millennium kingdom of Christ's rule here on earth. That kingdom of our Lord's here on earth starts at the seventh and final trumpet.
Luke 11:19 "And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out: therefore shall they be your judges."
So Jesus is asking these Pharisees and scribes; "If I cast these devils out by Beelzebub, or Satan; Then who do your sons cast them out?" Think what this is saying. Jesus is asking these Kenite religious people, "By who's name do your sons cast out devils?" Of course the answer is, "Their sons simply can not cast out devils, because this boy was dumb, couldn't speak, and thus could not cast them out in anyone's name." This dumb boy that couldn't talk was standing before them, and now he could talk. The point was, who did the healing? Who cast out the devils? Was it Satan's kids? Of course not. You and your sons be the judges, for you witnessed the casting out of the devils. Let their sons accuse them of the very same thing that they accused Jesus of. They have nothing to judge by, for they have never cast any devils out of anybody.
Luke 11:20 "But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you."
"But if I, [Jesus], with the finger [or Spirit] of God do cast out devils, then there can be no doubt that the kingdom of God has come upon you." When I call devils out of people in God's authority, then the kingdom of God is with you. These people wanted a sign and they got that sign when Jesus cast out these devils, yet they could not see or understand that sign.
Luke 11:21 "When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:"
Jesus is reminding them that if I had been in league with Satan, and his house was in shape, I would not have cast out that evil spirit that locked that boys voice and made him dumb. Satan wanted the boy dumb and that would have been going against the desires of Satan.
Luke 11:22 "But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils."
But when someone stronger than Satan comes upon you, this is exactly what happens. When you give Satan or his demonics an order, then this is exactly what you want to do in your commands to those evil spirits. First you strip those demonics of their armor by your command to release themselves from that person and leave. Then you take command of a person in his disoriented state, and put the truths of God's Word back into that mind, that was left vacant when the devils departed. You replace the old armor of the devils, with the New Gospel Armor of the Word of God. Teach the Word as it is written, and don't sway from the truth. The stronger of the forces is Christ, not the devil and his evil spirits. Back in Luke 10 we read that Jesus gave us power over the devil and all his evil spirits and He expects us to use that power and authority that is ours as a child of Christ.
Luke 11:23 "He that is not with Me is against Me: and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth."
There is no middle of the road, for you are either with Christ, or you are against Him. One of the ways today that God's people are being scattered, is by the teaching of people to fly in a rapture, when Ezekiel 13:18-20 strictly teaches against it. When you look for a rapture, you take your defenses away, and look for the first christ that comes, and that christ is Satan. You are assisting people to take on the mark of the beast, in their mind, and thus they do not remain watchmen for the events of the end time. In our generation there are no fence sitters, for you are either sealed with the truth in your mind before Satan's coming to this earth, or you are not. If you do not have the truth sealed in your mind, God will give you over to Satan when he gets here. Revelation 9:4, and 5 tells us that clearly.
Luke 11:24 "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, `I will return unto my house whence I came out.' "
If you cast one of these little demons out of a person, and that demon goes around looking for another person to enter. If he can't find one, Jesus is telling us that he will return to that same person that he left. Get it? That is why you must fill that mind that the demon left from with the truth from God's Word, so there will be no room for that demon to return.
Luke 11:25 "And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished."
That boy that was dumb and full of devils, is now swept and garnished. He was a different person, but he was empty in his mind with the truth of God's Word. When you cast out devils from a person, you should place the Holy Spirit within that mind, and have Jesus Christ placed in his mind and being. Then when that demon tries to enter back into that person, there will be no room for that evil spirit; for light and darkness can not exist together. So when you free someone from demons, make sure you give them instruction to keep Christ first in their mind, and focused on His Word.
Luke 11:26 "Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first."
If you think that you are helping a person by casting out evil spirits, and you don't put Christ and the Spirit of God back into his mind, you are making that man far worse off than what he was before you got there. Never cast out evil spirits in ignorance, but know what you are doing, and what is required after the evil spirits have departed. You do it all in the name of Jesus Christ. When you cast Satan out of your home, then fill that home with the Spirit of Jesus Christ, and don't allow those same demonic things back through the door, or it will be far worse than before you started. Sure trouble will still come your way after the Spirit of God has entered into your home, but that trouble will depart from you.
Luke 11:27 "And it came to pass, as He spake these things, and certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto Him, "Blessed is the womb that bare Thee, and the paps which Thou hast sucked."
When she said this, Jesus answered her directly.
Luke 11:28 "But He said, "Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."
Jesus reminded this lady that it does very little good to know the Word, and who Jesus is, unless you keep that Word in your mind and heart or life. You take those instructions from the Word of God as to how to live your life, but you have to apply those thing as you live daily. This is how you become successful in life. When you hear and do those instructions, then you have all those safety procedures in place for those things that don't go right. When Christ is in your business and life, you can't help but succeed. No, Jesus was not talking down to Mary's position as the mother of our Lord, but just calling attention that there is more than just knowing, there must be action in doing what the Word says. The Word of God is our set of instruction to mankind living in the flesh, to be able live a health life, and get along with our neighbors.
Luke 11:29 "And when the people were gathered thick together, He began to say, "This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet."
There is a mob forming here to give Jesus a hard time.
Luke 11:30 "For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation."
I have personally heard many teach that Jonas was a coward, afraid to bring the Gospel of God's kingdom to the Assyrians in it's capitol Nineveh. Of course he ran to the docks, hopped on a ship and left for some far off location. Jonah [Jonas] lived in a time when the house of Israel was divided from the house of Judah, as two separate nations. Assyria had already declared that they were going to war against the house of Israel, and the nation of the house of Israel had no chance of protecting themselves from the Ninevites. However, the Nineveites were so corrupt that they would not remain as a nation because of their corruption. God had a plan, and Nineveh was part of that plan, and the solution was to have Ninevites repent to God, and save their nation.
So here sat Jonah, he knew the corruption that was all around him in Israel. When God told him to preach in Nineveh, Jonah knew that it would mean the end of Israel. Jonah loved Israel, and would gladly give his life to save Israel. This is understandable, and that is the feeling of our people today in our land. Jonah was a prophet, and He knew that God warned Israel many times that this is what was going to happen. In Jonah's mind, he thought, why should I go down and preach and save Israel's enemy? That was the lesson to the book of Jonah.
However even in Jonah's rebellion, God used it as the only sign that would be given by Jesus some 800 years later. Jesus was going into the grave three days and three nights after He was crucified, just as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish three days and three nights.
Jonah 1:17 "Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights."

Jesus was brought forth as a resurrected Savior, just as Jonah was brought forth out of the great fish's belly as the savior to the Ninevites after three days and three nights. The Ninevites worshipped Dagon, the fish god, and when they saw Jonah coming out of that great fish that washed ashore, they thought that Jonah was sent by their god. They listened to Jonah, and they repented. This story is also told in II Kings 14:23-26: and it happened when Jeroboam II, the son of Joash was king over the house of Israel. As Jonah walked through the town of Nineveh, he did every thing in his power to make the Ninevites hear him, but just coming out of that big fish, made him the very messenger from their god. Jonah converted that entire town, from the lowest man on the street, to the king in his palace. What a revival. Jonah taught them truth, and they heard and excepted that truth into their lives. Jesus told this crowd that this is the only sign that you are going to get.
Would the people that witnessed the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the tomb repent, as the Ninevites did? Many of them did.
Luke 11:31 "The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here."
The "queen of the south" is the queen of Sheba that we read of in I Kings 10-1-13. Jesus stopped just short of saying that He is Messiah. Only Jesus was greater than Solomon in his wisdom, and Sheba witnessed that. She come to know the prophecies of Solomon, of the coming redeemer, and she accepted that wisdom. Now here stands these many people seeing the miracles face to face with our Lord, and they are in disbelief.
Luke 11:32 "The men of Nineveh shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here."
Jonas was very successful in reaching the people of Nineveh. The power to reach those people came from our Heavenly Father. Here present before these people, the living Word is performing the miracles, preaching, and yet the people can't see the truth standing right before them. When Jonah spoke the Spirit of God moved the people, and here in Luke, the Spirit of God is the Word standing before them.
Luke 11:33 "No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light."
We know by common sense that light always replaces darkness. This then is one way that we can know if we are called of God; for if the Light of God's Word shown upon you with understanding, and you in turn become excited enough to go out and plant those seeds of truth in the minds of people, you are called for that purpose. Don't try to cover up that light of the Word that you have come to understand, but share it with others. This is speaking of those truths that are given in the Word of God, itself. The more you share, the more He will give you.
Luke 11:34 "The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness."
This means that when your eye is clear and has seen the light of the Word, then that light or truth of the body can get out. If the eye of the body is set on evil and wickedness, then that whole body will seek after darkness. That person will be set on doing wicked acts, and creating mischief. If the light of the Word is prevented from entering into that person's mind, of course his entire life will be filled with anger and deceit. The eye is the mirror of the soul, and when the Holy Spirit is within your soul, then your spirit can be very effective in reaching people for the Lord.
Luke 11:35 "Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness."
In short, don't allow yourself to absorb substitutes for the truth, for that false teaching is darkness. If it is not of the light, it is not light. If it is not of the Word of God, then it is not the light of the Word. Make sure that what you receive is the truth from the Word of God.
Luke 11:36 "If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of the candle doth give thee light."
This then goes back to that young man that was full of darkness from the evil spirits. When the demons were cast out, he was a new man. The light had entered in, and that is the time to anoint the person, and fill that mind with the truth so that the light will continue to shine brightly. "No part of dark" are those times in our lives when we are lower in our service for the Lord; those times when we are down. When the soul within the body is pure and clean and filled with the Spirit of God, it will shine through the eyes of the individual.
Luke 11:37 "And as He spake, a certain Pharisee besought Him to dine with him: and He went in, and sat down to meat."
Jesus took the man at his invitation to come and dine with him.
Luke 11:38 "And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that He had not first washed before dinner."
This is not talking about washing like we do, to clean the hands up before we eat; but this washing is a ritual that was done, not for the sake of cleaning the hands, but for a ritual sake. Don't make excuses for Christ, He doesn't need your help. Jesus is going to make a point here. This word "washed" is "baptizo" and it is a "ceremonially clean". It was not a Christian baptism, but was a ritual in the manner of washing. It covered the sprinkling of the elbows, and all the religious rights of the Kenites to cleanse themselves by tradition. It wasn't even an ordinance of God, but of the old Kenite traditions. Jesus refused to do their religious ritual, because it was of no effect. Traditions are made up by man to please men, not God, and Jesus just did not want to play their games.
Luke 11:39 "And the Lord said unto him, "Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness."
Jesus was there as an guest for dinner, and when this Pharisee made fun of Jesus for not doing their traditional ritual, Jesus asked him; What is the good of cleaning the outside of the platter when the inside is filthy dirty. Before Jesus entered into this man's house to eat, He knew that the entire invitation was for the point of degrading our Lord. Remember that from the first day of Christ's ministry these Pharisees were out to trip up Jesus, and the entire time they were plotting to murder Him. This goes on today just as it did then, and many times people will appear to be doing something kind, when all the time they are laying a trap, for you to fall into it. The important thing in what and how you eat is what makes your soul well and whole, rather then focusing on the condition of the physical body. Yes the health of each is important to a good life. So Jesus answered this man and said; You make yourself look clean and well on the outside, but look at the filth that is on the inside, full of wickedness. Remember Jesus just finished talking about the eye as the mirror of the soul.
Luke 11:40 "Ye fools, did not He That made that which is without make that which is within also?"
The important part of any body is that which is with the body: Not only the soul and spirit, but your mind and entire body system. When the flesh mind is dirty, the entire body is just as dirty. When all that the mind is used for is sinful thoughts than that is the makeup of that entire body. When bad thoughts come to mind that is the time to suppress it, and let your soul and spirit take charge over the flesh. Jesus is telling these Pharisees that you look so religious and wear so religious clothing, where as all the time there is nothing but wickedness inside of you. Jesus knew that these Pharisees wanted to kill him. These Kenites are murderers and want Jesus' blood, and before it is all over, their lies and murderous plotting will kill Jesus on the cross.
Luke 11:41 "But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you."
This verse is not as it was written in the Greek text. Jesus said, "you clean the outside, and then you feel that by giving alms of such things as you have, that you can buy your way into the eternity." This is the same thing that is called "Corban" of Mark 7:11: "But ye say, `If a man shall say to his father or mother, `it is Corban, (that is to say, a gift), by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free' " Corban was the practice that the Pharisees had, of stealing from their father and mother, and the money that they stole, they gave one tenth to the priest, and that made their thievery ok in the eyes of the temple priest. All it really did was make that priest an accessory to the theft that took place. The alms giving here in the Gospel Luke is doing the same thing, and their washing ritual was just an outward part of their inward wickedness.
This practice is used quite a bit today, and many ministers think nothing of taking and using money taken under false pretenses from helpless and aged family members, when it should be used for the well being of that aged person. The belief is that if you give part of what you take from them to the church, it is alright to let your parents starve. That is where the word Corban comes from in the Greek. This thought of using alms to buy your way out of your wickedness, is all wrong, it just doesn't work that way. You just can't buy cleanliness within your soul. That washing comes only by hearing the Word, and through the repentance in Jesus' name.
Luke 11:42 "But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone."
Jesus again is telling these Pharisees that they just cannot buy their way into heaven. When you think that you have bought a friend, you are thinking wrong, sure you may hire them and their time, but when the money runs out, they are out the door. This is what Jesus is telling these Pharisees. You just can't buy friendship, and the Kenite Pharisees just could not get it through their heads. You see it done all the time today, for it seems that people just never learn.
Luke 11:43 "Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets."
Jesus tells these Pharisees that they put on their fancy robes and clothes, and demand the uppermost seats in the church house, and love to greet their friends in the market places where they can be seen. We see this is very common today, as they seek to promote their position among the community, as someone well respected in the community. It's a form of self-righteousness, for they desire to look holy to others.
Luke 11:44 "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them."
Jesus is comparing these Pharisees with graves, for they look so great from the outside, but on the inside their nothing but death chambers. Inside their grave site chambers they are nothing but dead mens bones. Have you ever been to a cemetery? On the surface it looks so beautiful, but inside that tomb, there is nothing but rotting flesh, and maggots. The soul that that body housed has gone to be with the Lord, and all that remains is the earthen clay that is rotting back to the earthly elements it was make of.
Luke 11:45 "Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, "Master, thy saying Thou reproachest us also."
Think of it, after these Pharisee lawyers set their traps for Jesus, insulted him, and called him of Beelzebub, when Jesus spelled out the wickedness that is in their hearts, they accused him of insulting them. Can't you see Jesus saying, "Oh my boy, I'm so sorry." Of course Jesus didn't apologize to any of these snakes. Let's see what Jesus said to them.
Luke 11:46 "And he said, "Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers."
Jesus turns to these lawyers, and tells them that they twist the facts to make them a lie, and they lay heavy burden on people with just a touch of their fingers. You make the truth so impossible to be understood by those that you deal with, In other words, you make the Scriptures more difficult to understand than what it is, by your traditions. True wisdom is to take that which is difficult to understand and make it easy to understand. But you take that which is easy to understand and make it hard to understand. Instead of giving light and life through the Word, you take that light and life of the Word away from those you speak to. The Word of God should speak to all the people with clarity as to what it is saying. These people who Jesus is speaking to are the Kenites, the sons of Cain. They are the ones that will shortly stand and lie and force Jesus to be crucified on the cross.
Luke 11:47 "Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchers of the prophets, and your fathers killed them."
Lets see who Jesus is talking to here in verse 47.
Luke 11:48 "Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchers."
We definitely know now that Jesus speaks of the Kenite. Jesus makes it very clear in Matthew 23: Jesus gave us the eight woes of the Kenites, that are the exact opposite of the eight Blessings of the Beatitudes of Matthew 5. So Jesus is reflecting the same in this chapter as we read in Matthew.

Luke 11:49 "Therefore also said the Wisdom of God, `I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:"
This prophecy was given in 2 Chronicles 24:18-24 should be read right along with this verse. Jesus Christ was the Wisdom of God.
2 Chronicles 24:18 And
they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers, and served groves
and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their
trespass. 19
Yet he sent prophets to them, to bring them again unto the LORD;
and they testified against them: but they would not give ear. 20 And
the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest,
which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why
transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper?
because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you. 21 And
they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the
commandment of the king in the court of the house of the LORD. 22
Thus Joash the king remembered not the kindness which Jehoiada
his father had done to him, but slew his son. And when he died, he
said, The LORD look upon it, and require it. 23
And it came to pass at the end of the year, that the host of
Syria came up against him: and they came to Judah and Jerusalem, and
destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people, and sent
all the spoil of them unto the king of Damascus. 24
For the army of the Syrians came with a small company of men, and
the LORD delivered a very great host into their hand, because they had
forsaken the LORD God of their fathers. So they executed judgment
against Joash.
Luke 11:50 "That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;' "
It was predicted many years prior that the blood of all the prophets, from the blood of Abel to Zacharias, were shed by the Kenites. If you don't know who the Kenites are, these sons of Cain, then you have no idea what you are reading when you open your Bible. The word "generation" as used here is "offspring". Just as Cain was the offspring of the devil from the garden of Eden, so are each of his children that came after Him. So now we will document that we are speaking of the Kenites here in this verse.
Luke 11:51 "From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation."
The offspring of Cain will be required to answer for all of their deeds at the throne of God, and not one of them shall escape their time of judgment. So if you are in doubt that this is referring to Cain, and his offspring, read Genesis 4:8 "And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him." Cain was the first murderer, for he murdered his brother in the Garden of Eden. The Children of Cain are the Kenites, and they are not of Abraham, not one of them. They lie when they present themselves as being of Judah, and the truth is not in them. The churches of the end times, Smyrna and Philadelphia knew who the Kenites are, and would not allow their false doctrine to enter into them. Read Revelation 2:9, and 3:9 to get the documentation on this fact. There is nothing new under the sun, for they are the same today as they were in Jesus day, and in Abel's day. Are we to do something about them? No, leave them alone, for there are good seed amongst them, and the Lord instructs us to leave them to the angels.
Matthew 13:38 "The field is the world; and good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; [Satan]"
Matthew 13:39 "The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels."
Matthew 13:40 "As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world."
Did you get that, the angels of God will be responsible to gather up these Kenite tares of that parable, and their destruction will occur at the end of this world age. That time is after the great white throne judgment. God will use them to test His children at the end of this earth age, and then He will take these tares and eliminate each of them. For now, leave them alone. The Kenites are the negative part of the plan of God in proving of people whether they are worthy for the kingdom of God. It isn't the actions of people that make them a Kenite, but their blood line, for they are a race of people.

If you call your relation a Kenite, you are acknowledging that you are one also. So watch how you brand someone a Kenite. It is not your duty to call anyone a Kenite.
Luke 11:52 "Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered."
These Kenites will be here right to the very end of our earth age. The offspring of Satan will answer for each death that they have caused to happen, and even the death of Christ. Kenites were not destroyed in flood, but are still with us even after the flood of Noah, untill the end of this earth age when Christ said the angels will gather them for destruction. Their traditions have been substituted for the truths of God's Word, and key to the knowledge of wisdom has been taken away by their changes in the Word when they took over the duties of the priests and the temple.
Live Link to-Jesus Himself named these Kenites as to who they were
Luke 11:53 "And as He said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge Him vehemently, and to provoke Him to speak of many things:"
Luke 11:54 "Laying wait for Him, and seeking to catch something out of His mouth, that they might accuse Him."
This is the reason that as a teacher of God's Word you must have the knowledge of that Word; for when you teach the truths of God's Word, these scripture lawyers will be around to change your word's. They will hang on to every word that you say, for the purpose of finding you in error. In their presenting what you say, they will twist it, and make it out to be a lie. That is what they did in Ezra's day, in Jesus Christ's day, and they will do it to you. No, you won't be be perfect, but be sure you understand what you are teaching. If you don't understand the plan of God, and can rightly divide the Word, then you have no business teaching it. First Learn the truths as a disciple, and plant seeds, and when you become better in knowledge and understanding of the Word, then teach it. If you make a mistake, be willing to admit it, and seek the truth always.
