Wow! For the first three chapters in Micah we have been reading the details concerning the events of and the reasons for the proclamation that was given to us at the beginning of this great book of Micah. Let us refresh our memories:
It is written throughout the Word of God that ALL the nations of the world are going to come to know that "Yahveh is God" (which is what "Joel's" name means in Hebrew) and learn the lesson of the 1st Commandment, i.e. that there is no other "god", for "Who is like Yahveh?" (which is what the name "Micah" means). You see, the Lord GOD Himself is going to be "witness" and here is how:Micah 1:2
Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
We learned that it was because of the "sin of Samaria", which is false religion and idolatry, which is the worshipping of another "god" (even that abominable one who will come claiming to be Jesus), that brings forth His wrath when He "comes forth out of His place". However, there is really good news in all this, especially for those who love the Lord and who now walk in His ways. The good news is that His kingdom IS coming soon and His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven. Is that not what we look forward to and pray for? Therefore, let us eat our daily bread from the Word of God and walk in His ways, for there is none like Yahveh![3] For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.
Micah 4
Here is His promise:
Note: You can read this exact same promise almost word for word in Isaiah 2:2-5 for all the prophets speak His words and are therefore all "on the same page".Micah 4:1
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
"Mountains" are symbolic of nations and government. The "mountain of the house of the LORD" is kingdom of God which is the "dominion" whose "king" is Jesus Christ. He is returning with His saints at the second advent, at the 7th Trump, as the King of kings and Lord of lords to rule all nations with a rod of iron.
Jesus Christ will bring with Him all the saints who have died and are with Him now (1 Thes. 4:13-14). They shall appear (rise) first and then we who are alive and remain (in the flesh) at His coming shall be instantly changed into our spiritual bodies (in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trump - 1 Cor. 50:52) and we shall join together with them "in the clouds" (a figure of speech which means "in a group") and in the "aer" (which is the "breath" of life body, i.e. the spiritual body Paul told us we would instantly changed into at the last trump).Rev. 19:14
And the armies which were in heaven followed Him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Again, we have been reading here in Micah the details and the reasons for His wrath and the "treading" He does as ALL nations are placed in subjection to Him, i.e. placed under the rulership of the Kingdom of God! Micah 1:4 "And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place."[15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Let's repeat Micah 4:1 so that we pick up the context of verse 2.[16] And He hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Micah 4:1
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
[2] And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Ezekiel 44:23
And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
And the Zadok (the just ones, i.e. His servants) shall "sit on the benches" so to speak and enforce God's righteous laws during the Millennium. There will be no separation of God and state even as there is none now in our Constitution;Except we don't obey and follow our own constitution!
[24] And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths.
Again, He shall judge through His saints who shall be the kings and priests during the Millennium. (Rev. 5:10 "And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." Rev. 20:6 "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.")Micah 3:3
And He shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
*Look up the word "hosts" in Strong's Concordance and you will find it means "an army", like the one coming with Him on white horses when He returns. Nevertheless, this verse should let you know that The Word of God is His mouth through which He speaks and when the Word of God declares a thing, that is how is SHALL BE for He has spoken it! Do you hear His voice (Heb. 3:15)? If not you had better open up the "little black book"! Yes, the one laying there on your coffee table![4] But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts* hath spoken it.
"For" means "rather" or "though it be". In other words the Lord of hosts has spoken about the wonderful establishment of the "mountain of the house of the LORD (Micah 4:1)" and though the people (now) walk in the name of their own god (with a little "g"), we who know His Word and love His commands will walk in the name of the LORD our God (with a big "G")now and for ever and ever.Micah 4:5
For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.
"For all the peoples walk, each one in the name of his god: but we will walk in the name of Jehovah our God forever and ever." (J.P. Green Interlinear Bible)
When the King and kings and Lord of lords returns to this earth in that day to set up His Kingdom and take His chaste virgin bride to wife, will you be prepared for Him and adorned with a fine white linen wedding garment on? Or will He find out that you have been in bed with another "man" (Satan, the falsechrist) and are suckling his child? WOE! That wouldn't make our Lord very happy, would it?
We have already learned that the "mountain of the house of the LORD" shall be established on high, i.e. above all other nations.
Let us see what else shall happen in that day.
"In that day" refers back to vs. 1, which is the day that the "mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains". In that day He will gather and restore His children of the House of Israel. Those "that halteth" are those who are limping about having lost their way and who have stumbled and "fallen", and those who were driven out are those who were taken captive and "led astray". The important thing to realize and understand from this verse is that it is the LORD Himself who has "afflicted" her! It is His doing for He is in complete control (Col. 1:16-17). You see, He is the one who sends the Assyrian {Satan) against His people to cause "her" travail. (Make note of the use of the feminine pronouns here. He is referring to His bride, both males and females)Micah 4:6
In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;
[7] And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
The "tower of the flock" is the tower of "Eder" (as in Gen. 35:21) and is used here of Bethlehem in combination with "the stronghold" which is Ophel, "David's birthplace" and "David's city".[8] And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
Note: See the commentary and structure in the Companion Bible on Micah 4:8 & 5:2 and appendix 68 I where Dr. Bullinger explains that "Ophel and Zion are equivalent names applied to the highest point or mound of the hill ridge running due south from Mount Moriah and was the summit of the original Jebusite fortress; almost directly above the "Virgin Fount".

The point is that the "birth of the new nation" will come forth from the same location as the first (i.e. former) dominion. We shall discuss more of this in the shortly when we see the prophecy of Messiah's advents, for "He who came in grace at the first advent shall come in judgment" (to rule all nations) at the second.
Micah 4:9
Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.
You see, labor pains were ordained of God from the beginning and placed (afflicted) on the woman because of what she had done. It is because of the "seduction", the "sin of Samaria", the "great apostasy", that she must travail. (Actually, it even goes back to the seduction and "falling away" in the first earth age, Rev. 12:4.)
Let's go briefly and check out what happened in the garden of Eden immediately following the seduction.
Genesis 3:13
And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
Why do suppose the LORD is addressing her conception? It is because she is now "with child" just having been impregnated with the seed from Satan himself and she will soon thereafter (Gen. 4:1) bring forth his child whose name will be called Cain, a sorrow indeed. He will become the first murderer of a son of Adam and his posterity will bring about the crucifixion of the Son of God.Genesis 3:16
Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Also, the Hebrew word translated "sorrow" is "etseb" which means "labor pangs". This is why Jesus Christ would say "Woe!" to those who are spiritually seduced and impregnated by the serpent (Satan) in the last days:
Luke 21:23
But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
Mark 13:8sorrows = ¨äßíoôdino-deen' Strong's #5604
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
Akin to G3601; a pang or throe, especially of childbirth:—pain, sorrow, travail.
By the way? Have you ever thought about why it is that babies "cry aloud" at birth? Think about the "squeezing in the womb" that they just endured! Then think about the fact that they are naked and completely dependent and in need of covering and nurturing, etc.
[10] Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
Again, as we have discussed in prior studies, many (most) Christians actually dwell in darkness (confusion, Babylon) believing that they are "safe and secure" from "stumbling" before the false messiah, i.e. Satan, the destroyer, the abomination of desolation, i.e. the desolator spoken of by Daniel the prophet. Most of them believe man's lies that they will be taken in a "rapture" before the great tribulation of the "vile person". Have they not read their history? Their forefathers did not escape the king of Babylon and neither shall they!Rev. 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
"Wherefore", Paul writes, "let him that thinketh he standeth [safe and secure, peace and safety] take heed [to the history of our people] lest he fall." (1 Cor. 10:12)1 Thes. 5:3
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Likewise, the nations who come against His children, the Christian nations of the world, i.e., the true of the House of Israel, shall also not escape His chastisement and His judgment:
This is also part of His Plan that the nations "gather" and join together in the New World Order, the beast of Rev. 13:1. "Let our eye look upon Zion" means they look upon her to "spoil" her, as in destroy her.Micah 4:11
Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
Note: The Christians nation are currently also part of "The New World Order", but what about the "deadly wound" to that beast, which is yet to come? Hum! I WONDER! Isn't it exciting to speculate?
Is it not amazing how the gentile nations fulfill God's Plan and yet they do not know Him nor His Counsel, i.e. His Word? However, they SHALL get to know the great "I AM" and that He alone is the God of the earth, for the LORD shall be a witness unto those nations for their sins against the true House of Israel. As it is written, He is going to thrash them on the threshing floor, for their own good of course because He loves them too![12] But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
Horn is symbolic of power and as He promised in vs. 7, "... I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever." The Kingdom of God, that "strong nation", shall reign supreme and "the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem (Micah 4:2)". In other words, His rule shall go forth as a "Rod of Iron" and His kings and priests shall carry the charge.[13] Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
What a glorious time that will be. Let us never forget it so we can put the events that are occurring and shall yet happen in their proper perspective. The great apostasy, the spiritual seduction by "The Vile Person", (Satan as the false husband), brings forth labor pangs.
Perhaps also, the words of Jesus Christ in Luke 23 as He walked up that hill to pay the price to cover our sins will now make a little more sense:
"The sad story" according to Jesus Christ is not Him paying the price on the cross. The sad story is the lamentation (sad song) we read right here in the Book of Micah (chpt. 1) which is the idolatry, the spiritual seduction, the "sin of Samaria", and the spiritual death which follows.Luke 23:27
And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him.
"The sad truth" is that most Christians who are to remain virgins in this final generation will follow in the footsteps to the fig grove like mother Eve and in the footsteps of their forefathers to the hills of Samaria. And just as Eve was seduced and impregnated literally as a type, an ensample for us to "see" (1 Cor. 10:11), so shall most Christians be spiritually seduced and spiritually impregnated by Satan in this final generation.
See next two verses!
Blessed are they who are "barren", who have NOT been seduced and who have remained "chaste virgins" unto the coming of the true Bridegroom, their one and only Husband, Jesus Christ![28] But Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children.[29] For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.
But Woe to those who do not remain virgins for they will know they are "naked" because of their sin (just like Adam and Eve knew, in the garden after being seduced) and will be ashamed (just like Adam and Eve were) and ghey will want to hide themselves because of what they have done (just like Adam and Eve hid themselves from Him). The only thing is that spiritual nakedness is much worse that physical nakedness just like spiritual death is far greater than physical death (Mat. 10:28)!
Yes, it was spoken by the LORD in both the Old and the New Testaments that the spiritually "barren" are indeed blessed.[30] Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
Having therefore read the words Christ, let us conclude this study with Isaiah 54:1-5.
The majority of Christians shall travail. Chaste virgins do not!Isaiah 54:1
Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
The mountain of the Lord shall be established on high and reign over all nations (inherit the gentiles)![2] Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;[3] For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
Those who Love the Lord and remain true to His Word are not and shall not be confounded (confused in Babylon) and therefore they shall NOT be "taken" and spiritually "impregnated" by the false messiah when he comes standing in the holy place claiming to be the bridegroom. So they shall NOT be ashamed and exposed as an harlot at His coming but rather they will be clothed in their fine linen wedding garments prepared for marriage to their Husband![4] Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
Remain true to the "Word of God" and you shall never be ashamed![5] For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Yes, it SHALL come to pass exactly as "the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it (Micah 4:4)", but first unfortunately our people must go through travail because of their idolatrous sins, because they allow themselves to be spiritually seduced by the false messiah and impregnated with his lies. Make no mistake about it! The Assyrian, who is Satan himself (Isa. 14), the "vile person", as the spurious messiah, in these last days, is coming at the 6th Trump to "lay siege" and take our people spiritually captive BEFORE the true Savior comes at the 7th Trump to deliver His people out the hands of our enemies.
So get ready! Put on the Gospel Armor (Eph. 6) and prepare for the great spiritual battle of these last days.
"Now" means "meanwhile" as in "until that day" when Yeshua returns. "They shall smite the Judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek" was at the first advent when He came in grace to shed His precious blood upon the cross so that ALL, even those who despised Him and smote Him, could be saved. But alas, as it was declared from the beginning, that One who was born a babe in a lowly manger in the little town of Bethlehem shall come forth to rule all nations as the King of kings and Lord of lords.Micah 5:1
Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
* Bethlehem Ephratah means "house of bread" and "fruitfulness" respectively and lies just a few miles southwest of Jerusalem.[2] But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah*, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Did you know it was from this verse right here in the Book of Micah that the chief priests and scribes were able to tell wicked king Herod where Jesus Christ would be born?
Here is the account written in Matthew 2:
It is also written in Revelation 12:5 that Christ was born to "rule all nations with a rod of iron", but that is not until the second advent. Right now He sits at the right hand of the Father but soon He SHALL come forth at the sound of the 7th Trump, after the false messiah has reigned and caused great spiritual desolation.Matthew 2:4
And when he [Herod] had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.[5] And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
[6] And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
Once again, until that time (i.e. meanwhile) the woman (Israel) must travail!Rev. 12:5
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
Can you SEE the PICTURE. She is a very beautiful woman.Rev. 12:1
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:Mother Israel
The word "wonder" means "sign" and so John saw a great sign in heaven, and wondrous it was. Would you like see one? Go outside on any clear night and look up at the stars, and wondrous it will be. And if you are familiar with the uncorrupted Zodiac the plan of God will appear, for it is the Bible in the stars. Did not God say in Genesis 1:14 that the lights in the firmament of the heaven are to be for SIGNS, and for seasons, and for days, and years? Yes He did. And He numbered and named them ALL.
And so you can begin with "The prophecy of the promised seed", Virgo, the virgin, who brings forth the man child and travel through the redeemer's conflict, etc., to Leo and destruction of the old serpent. It was declared in the "beginning of time" and repeated in Matthew 1:23 "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." (You must read appendix 12 in the Companion Bible or and/or obtain the book "The Glory of the Stars" by E. Raymond Capt.)
The time Micah is referring to is the time of the end, the time when the "sorrows" (travail, labor pangs) Christ spoke of in Mark 13 and Mat. 24 occur just before the birth of the new nation when that One born in Bethlehem of Judea returns as the King of kings and Lord of lords and establishes the mountain of the house of the LORD on high (Micah 4:1).Micah 5:3
Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
Who are the "remnant of his brethren"? They are God's elect whom He shall send forth as His troops to stand against the Assyrian and quite frankly "kick his butt"! They shall be used to bring forth the great teaching to His people and issue His proclamation to the nations in the last days.
"Shall stand" (stand = amad in Hebrew) means to "abide behind" or "appoint", and to "feed" is to "shepherd" as in to teach. Of course the "strength of the LORD" is the Word of God. Did you know that the name EZEK-I-EL, belonging to the prophet who was a type of the "appointed watchmen", means "God is my Strength" in Hebrew? In other words, the Great Shepherd, the Prince of Peace, shall "appoint" shepherds, even His watchmen, and they shall be the instruments in His hand to take back the land and deliver the kingdom out of the hands of the Assyrian. Even now He uses them to bring His people out of Babylon, i.e. religious confusion. "Come out of her my people!" (Rev. 18:4)Micah 5:4
And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
This Man is "This Great Shepherd of Israel", Jesus Christ. He is our strength. He is the only One who can provide true peace of mind during the time of the false-christ's reign, i.e. when the "Assyrian shall come into our land" and tread upon our palaces (high places, i.e. churches). You see, if Satan thinks he is going to have an easy time of things when he arrives he is in for a rude awakening. God shall (and even has) send his elect, those 7,000 who "have not bowed the knee to Baal" (nor will they), to take a stand against the fiery spiritual darts of the Assyrian! That's right, they are true unwavering, strong Christian soldiers, with the full panoply of Gospel Armor (Eph. 6) on and in place. They are highly skilled and trained, and are willing and ready to wield the sword of the Lord at His command and deliver the kingdom from the hands of the enemy.[5] And this Man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
These seven thousand are the same as the seven shepherds and also the same as the seven eyes of the Lord, i.e. His witnesses, of Zech 4 who hold the "plummet" in their hand, that "plumbline" (Amos 7:7) of truth which is His true Word, not the words of men.Romans 11:4
But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
Let's look at the phrase "seven shepherds and eight principal men" in Micah 5:5. It sounds as if there are two sets of people, i.e. 7 shepherds plus 8 principal men but there are not. The word "eight" in Hebrew is used as an adjective to describe the seven shepherds just the same as "principal men" is used to describe the seven shepherds. Let's look at the definitions of "eight" and "principal" and it will help us understand.Zech. 4:10
For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
Actually if you take your Strong's Concordance and take this word back to the prime you will find it means to "shine" as in "oily". It simply means that the "seven shepherds", who are God's elect of those two "candlesticks" (Zech 4, Rev. 1:16), who are of the two churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia, are filled to the brim with "oil", i.e. plump full with their lamps-a-blazin'! They are His anointed ones, His appointed ones, the watchmen (eyes), the sons and daughters who understand the visions of the prophets and who He sends forth in the last days to teach His Word straight on line by line using the plumbline, i.e. teaching the truth "straight on" pleasing their Father, not men! They are principal men and women indeed!eight = äð†îÊLÔ äð†BîLÔ äðˆîÊLÔ äðˆBîLÔ shemoòneh shemoòneh shemoònaòh shemoònaòh(1,2)shem-o-neh', (3,4) shem-o-naw' Strong's #8083
Apparently from H8082 through the idea of plumpness; a cardinal number, eight (as if a surplus above the "perfect" seven); also (as ordinal) eighth:—eight ([-een, -eenth]), eighth.
Again, God works through and uses His election to deliver His people from the captivity and oppression of the Assyrian.principal = Céñ"ð€ nesŒòyk nes-eek' Strong's #5257
From H5258; properly something poured out, that is, a libation; also a molten image; by implication a prince (as anointed):—drink offering, duke, prince (- ipal).
The "land of Nimrod" is none other than Babylon (Gen. 10:8-10)! "Babel" means "confusion" and "lon" is "land". Baby-lon, Babel-land, therefore means "Land of Confusion" or as some like to call it, the "State of Confusion", which is the exact spiritual location Satan is leading this nation into, or haven't you looked around lately? Hmm, we could actually think of the final generation which began on May 15, 1948, when the fig tree was set out in the land of Judea, as "Babel Boomers" instead of "Baby Boomers". It is just another way of saying "confused rock-n-rollers"![6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
Again, the remnant are God's elect used by Him in the final generation to do His Marvelous Work, to bring forth the Sword of the Lord, which is His truth. It is written that they already have the victory and would you believe even the very song they will singing at the victory celebration has been selected? Oh yes it has! They will be singing the Song of Moses which is the 32nd chapter of Deuteronomy at the victory celebration over the beast as documented in Rev. 15:2-3:Micah 5:7
And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.
Here are the first three verses (stanzas if you will) of the Song of Moses:Rev. 15:2
And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.[3] And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Deut. 32:1
Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
Notice how this compares to Micah 5:7 which we read earlier: "And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men." His words drop gentle as the rain upon those who love Him but as a sharp sword it cuts off His enemies (Micah 5:9).[2] My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
To publish means to "herald" or to "proclaim"!Deut. 32:3
Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
Notice this is exactly what they are singing in Rev. 15:3 documenting this is the song they sing: Rev. 15:3 "Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints."[4] He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Who can stand against the power and strength of the Living God? Answer: No one! And He gives that power to His servants, even power over all the enemy! Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."Micah 5:8
And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
The Sword of the Lord, the truth of His Word carried forth by His election, shall be used to cut asunder the enemies.[9] Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.
Have you picked it up and practiced with it lately?
Earlier we learned that the Lord will use His elect in bringing forth the "victory" against the Assyrian when he "shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces (Micah 5:5)". God's elect are those 7 shepherds (Micah 5:5) He raises up to take a stand against the Assyrian. They are those 7,000 (Rom. 11) "election of His grace" called the "remnant" who have not bowed a knee to Baal. We also learned that the Lord has given unto His servants "Power" over ALL the "power of the enemy"! That "Power" is His strength which is His twoedged Sword (Rev. 1:16), which is the Word of God! And who is it that can stand against the power of His might? Answer: No one!
The reason they shall not be spiritually harmed is because they have on the Gospel Armor (Eph. 6), which means they study His Word and they do it! And they shall take a stand against Satan and they shall take the Sword of the Lord, the truth of His Word, His Power, and they shall be the instruments in His hand to cut asunder the evil enemies of our people.Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Are you one of those who shall take that stand against the Assyrian when he comes upon the land? Or are you planning to fly away into "Never, Never Land" with all the other "Lost Boys"? Thank God for the fearless, unwavering Christian soldiers He has sent us to cut off spiritual wickedness and the enemies of our people. And those enemies SHALL be "cut off", which is where we left off earlier.Ephes. 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.[11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Next we shall see the end result of that great spiritual battle when our Father shall cut off the Evil one and his troops and remove the gross idolatry, and that "image" that the son of perdition is Jesus Christ, from the house of Israel once and for all. Therefore, what follows in the last five verses of Micah 5 is extremely good news in that it defines the very "victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name (Rev. 15:2)". What exciting times we live in, for "that day" of victory is close at hand!Micah 5:9
Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.
Dr. Bullinger in the Companion Bible, pg. 1258, correctly titles these verses (Micah 5:5-14) as EVIL REMOVED! We can even call it the cleansing of America and Great Britain, etc., for it is the purification of the House of Israel. Dr. Bullinger also notes that this verse (vs. 10) speaks of "Evil people", even "Military", which is precisely what it is talking about. They are the military "host", AKA the "locust army" of the Assyrian, Apollyon, i.e. Satan and his angels who are kicked out of heaven in Rev. 12:7-9.Micah 5:10
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:
"Their faces were as the faces of men" because they are men, not horses! By the way, angels look just like men even as do all the angels who appear in scripture, like those who appeared unto Abraham and Lot, etc.Rev. 9:7
And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.
To have "hair as the hair of women" is a figure of speech meaning they appear "gentle" as women, but they will spiritually rip you to shreds as a lion tears apart its prey![8] And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
"Breastplates" were items worn by the "priesthood" which again lets us know that this battle is spiritual, not of flesh and blood. Of course we knew that from Paul's words in Ephes. 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."[9] And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
Also, when we get to the next book in these Minor Prophets we shall find these horses and chariots described as "pransing horses" and "jumping chariots".
This again is describing spiritual warfare which the next verse documents!horses = c*uwc*, soos, Hebrew 5483; or c*uc*, soos; from an unused root meaning to skip (properly for joy); a horse (as leaping); also a swallow (from its rapid flight) :- crane, horse ([-back, -hoof]).Compare Hebrew 6571 (parash).Nahum 3:1
Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;[2] The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
[3] The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
We will discuss "witchcrafts" when we get to Micah 5:12.[4] Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well favoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
Cities back then were built with "walls" around them for protection (defence), which is what this verse is talking about, i.e. defenced cities. Isaiah also discusses the purging of Jacob (Israel) and refers to the "defenced cities" becoming desolate:Micah 5:11
And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:
The LORD God shall purge all idolatry and wickedness out of the land. Of course if the cities were truly defended by the Word of God then they would not need to be destroyed. The problem is that the false shepherds have built up a "false defence" of "Peace and Safety" by telling Christians they are safe from the Assyrian and will be "Raptured" into the clouds when he gets here. Hey, who needs Gospel Armour on if you are not going to be here to take a stand? Ezekiel describes the "whitewashed" walls that the false prophets have erected:Isaiah 27:9
By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.[10] Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
Yes, just as we read in Micah, the defenced (walled) cities (places of habitation) shall be cut off and "thrown down"!Ezekiel 13:9
And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.Ezekiel 13:10
Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:[11] Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
The "visions" the prophets of Israel in these last days are to see are the "visions" of the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Micah, Amos, Ezekiel, etc., who WARN and WARN about the coming of the Assyrian upon the land! Hello, come in! But nooo... they see visions of peace and safety out of their own heart (not out of the Word of God) and also the "visions" of an idolatrous woman!Ezekiel 13:14
So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.[15] Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;
[16] To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.
That too shall be cut off and there will be no more "soothsayers", fancy preachers teaching treacherous "Rapture" theories. It is called a "theory" for a reason, just like Evolution is called a "theory"! They are BOTH false teachings!
There will no longer be lying preachers saying Peace, peace! Nor will there be lying politicians telling you everything is safe and secure under the protection of the New World Order.Micah 5:12
And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:
By the way, what are "witchcrafts"? They are the castings of stupors (spell if you will) over our people causing to them believe lies. Have you ever read about "Jezebel"?
Her witchcrafts are the "teachings", doctrines, traditions of men, she uses to seduce God's children into committing fornication, which is to jump in bed with the false messiah. That's right! We are right back to the "Sin of Samaria", false Christianity!2 Kings 9:22
And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?
Again, the fornication they commit is with another "man" and the "fruit they eat" is from the same old tree (satan) which was in the midst of the garden.Rev. 2:20
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Though our people do idolize "things made", Micah is not talking about mere materialism is this verse when he speaks of the "work of thine hands". The subject is "graven images" and "standing images" which is idolatry and what "works" you do! You see, what you "do", i.e. your works, the work of your hands, is the result of what you believe in, i.e. worship. If you believe in a Jesus who is not really Jesus but the false messiah (though you would not know that if you were deceived, would you?), then the service you render is unto him!Micah 5:13
Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.
By the way, that is what it means to "have the mark (of the beast) in your right hand", i.e. to be deceived and serving the falsechrist, which is to participate in and promote idolatry... you know... the sin of Samaria!
You had better have the Word of God in your right hand and in your forehead and be found doing His work!Rev. 13:16
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:mark = ÷Üñáãìácharagmakhar'-ag-mah Strong's #5480
From the same as G5482; a scratch or etching, that is, stamp (as a badge of servitude), or sculptured figure (statue):—graven, mark.
If you do not have the seal of God in your forehead, i.e. His Word, then you have the seal (mark) of Satan. Thus you are unprotected without the Gospel Armor on and shall be spiritually slain by the locust army with their prancing horses and jumping chariots! (By the way, the "horses" they ride are four "horses" of Rev. 6 which are the Four Hidden Dynasties of Religion, Politics, Economics, and Education.)Rev. 5:1
And I saw in the right hand of Him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
The fact is most Christians already have "the mark of the beast" in both their foreheads and in their right hands! Remember what it is that makes our Father so angry and causes Him to come forth out of His place? And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
The "groves" were the high places where erect "asherahs" were set up and sexually lewd idolatrous worship took place to the goddess Astarte, also called Ishtar or Easter! If you don't know what an "asherah" is then look it up in a Bible dictionary or see appendix 42 in the Companion Bible! The fact is that the majority of our people carry Ishtar's symbols of sexual fertility (eggs and quick-like-a-bunny rabbits) right into their churches in the name of Christianity. It is an abomination to our Father! They even carry her name, Ishtar (pronounced Easter), and name their day of worship after her. Once again, our people are not only ignorant of God's Word (Easter is not even in the New Testament manuscripts), but they are ignorant of the history of the practices of our forefathers and the events that happened to them!Micah 5:14
And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.
Get ready! Christianity is a happening reality! And when our Father pours out that last 7th vial, the victory shall be ours and this flesh age shall end![15] And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
What does it take to show our brothers and sisters that straying from the Word of God is the root cause of our nation's ills as we can "see" our moral foundation crumble and our national sovereignty being taken away by the Beast of Revelation 13:1, i.e. the NWO? In this study we are going to discover what it is that our Father would have us do, and you know what? It is not just going to church and giving sacrifice of tithes and offerings and participating in wonderful humanitarian works in the name of Christ. In fact, one can do all those things and on the day of the great wedding find himself or herself on the outside looking in.
Here are Jesus Christ's own words:
Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
He never knew them because they never knew Him. If you say you know the Living Word of God and yet you do NOT know the Written Word of God you are sorely deceived, no matter how many years you have faithfully attended Bethel, which means "House of God" in Hebrew, i.e. church.[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Amos 5:4
For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:
You can go to church (Bethel) regularly for years and years and more years and still be spiritually slaughtered with the majority when the Assyrian (Satan) comes upon the land. That's what happened to our forefathers, physically, but will happen to us spiritually, if we don't learn to tell the difference between "what is holy and what is profane!"! So, you can follow in their footsteps and set up altars all day and all night, such as at Gilgal, and you can make covenants and pledges all the way to Beer-sheba, but unless in these latter days you seek the LORD thy God through His Word, not man's, with all your heart and all your soul, your little old church isn't going to do you a bit of good on "That Day", the Day we have been reading about here in Micah! The sad part is that the life giving instructions to Seek Him and obey His Voice, not man's traditions, was given to our people and recorded in His Word long, long ago![5] But seek not Bethel, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Bethel shall come to nought.
Here it is in the Book of Deuteronomy:
Do you "Seek Him" or do you "Seek Bethel"?Deut. 4:29
But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
However, even though we all, the good, the bad, and the ugly, go through the tribulation of the false-christ, those who seek the true Christ in these latter days and are obedient to His Voice, which is His Word, have nothing to fear. For as it is written in Rev. 9 that only those who have NOT the seal of God in their foreheads shall be harmed (spiritually slaughtered by the king of Babylon, Satan).
Seek His Voice in these latter days, the Voice of the Shepherd, the One who can unlock the scriptures (Rev. 3:7) and He will open the seals of truth to your mind. The hour is late and His Great Voice is even speaking as a trumpet this very day, for the Lord's Day approaches quickly. Rev. 1:10 "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet". If you are a virgin (the symbolic term for a Christian waiting for the wedding of the true Bridegroom) then He has spoken specifically TO YOU in Revelation chapters two and three. Go there and listen to the trumpet.[30] When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
Our Father is a loving Father but it is up to you to decide to align with His Word or continue on your own path to desolation. He has "set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live (Deut. 30:19)".[31] (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) He will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which He sware unto them.
(1 Jn. 1:1, Phil. 2:6)! We just read it in Amos 5:4, "For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:"
So why is it our people will not hear His voice and follow humbly in His ways, because if they do He has promised all the wonderful blessings of Deut. 28:1-14. But alas, we are suffering more and more from the plagues and pestilences which follow famine, which is not a famine for bread in these last days, but for the hearing the Word of God (Amos 8:11).
Let us now hear what the LORD has to say through his servant Micah:
Micah 6:1
Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
This instruction is to those who will "hear", even those who have ears to hear who are His elect, to arise (stand up) and contend (plead His cause) before the nations, both large and small, and let them hear your voice (speaking His Words as in "Thus saith the Lord God")! In other words, as the next verse shows, our Father has a controversy with His people and He has already said He IS going to chastise them with the rod of His correction and He wants them to know why. Of course we know "why" from reading this great Book of Micah, do we not? Is it not because of the "sin of Samaria" (Micah 1:5)? Yes it is! Just as Jeroboam set up those altars and golden calves for our people to go and attend church instead of doing as our Father instructed them to, our people today in their blind ignorance also substitute churchianity, a "form" of worship, in place of seeking Him and studying His Word. They have thus "strayed from His ways" having been "drawn away" from our Father even after the same manner as they were in the first earth age (Rev. 12:4). There is nothing new under the sun.
Here is what our Father wants the mountains (nations, i.e. His people) to hear:
[2] Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD'S controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth:
He will plead His case to His children through His servants who speak His words, but after the pleading... the party's over![2 cont.] ...for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and He will plead with Israel.
Here now is our Father's opening statement and His demand for documented rebuttal (testimony), followed by His argument. He presents His case complete with factual case history to show that He loves His children and even goes out of His way to be just and merciful toward them. He even presents His case in a heartfelt, loving manner as evidenced by His words "O my people". You know it just breaks His heart to see how His children ignore Him. (To ignore His Word is to "forsake the Lord thy God"!)plead = çëÇéˆyaòkach yaw-kakh' Strong's #3198
A primitive root; to be right (that is, correct); reciprocally to argue; causatively to decide, justify or convict:—appoint, argue, chasten, convince, correct (-ion), daysman, dispute, judge, maintain, plead, reason (together), rebuke, reprove (-r), surely, in any wise.
What would be your reply to your Father? He is saying go ahead and present your case as to how badly He has treated you! Give Him your testimony!Micah 6:3
O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.
God interceded and took His children under His wing and delivered them out of the house of bondage. He even gave them a lawgiver, a priest, and a prophetess to guide them in the right path and set forth the example. And how about this next example?Micah 6:4
For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
Have you read how old Balak used bribery to compel the avaricious prophet Balaam to bring a curse upon the children of God that Balak might destroy them from off the land? You will find it recorded in Numbers 22-25. The bottom line is that God not only intervened on behalf of His people to protect them from their adversary but He went "above and beyond" and turned the would-be curse into a blessing for His children. Why? Because He loves them dearly! Can you call that grievous and wearisome?[5] O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.
OK, your turn!Deut. 23:5
Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.
"Wherewith" means "how", as in "how shall I come before the LORD"! These two verses pretty much say it ALL for they show that our people just don't "get it"! They are so clueless and blind to the reality of what their Father wants them to do because they have listened for so long to men trained in man's seminaries preach "traditions" and not the Word of God chapter by chapter and line by line. Therefore, all they know about the love of our Father is what they have been taught "by the precept of men"!Micah 6:6
Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?[7] Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
The reality is that MANY of our beloved brothers and sisters claim to be Christian and they "Praise the Lord" in words and songs but they do not "hunger and thirst" after righteousness, i.e. His Word! They seek the Lord in their Bethels where men speak but they do not Seek Him in His Word where HE SPEAKS! Therefore "their heart is FAR from Him" which simply means they do not really love Him, for if they did they would keep His commands.Isaiah 29:13
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear (reverence) toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Jesus is not speaking here of just the 10 Commandments. He means His instructions, His Words, ALL of them from Genesis to Revelation!John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you! James 4:8 "Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you." Now you know exactly why He states to those in Mat. 7:23 "I never knew you"!John 14:21
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
No, unfortunately MANY of our people just don't get it and for that reason they do not know Him, for they have not taken the time to get to know Him. And yet our Father has told us many, many times throughout His Word the answer to the question in Micah 6:6, "Wherewith (how) shall I come before the LORD" and what it is He requires of you and me!John 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.[24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
Did He say He wants us to go to church (Bethel) and do a lot of religious stuff? He simply wants us to do justly, i.e. do what is right according to His Word, and to love mercy, and to WALK humbly with thy God, i.e. to abide with Him in His Word! Is that so hard? Is that so grievous?Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Our people have forsaken the Word of God and so the Assyrian (Satan) shall come and take them captive unto himself.1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.
Ready or not, here it comes!
We learned in our very first chapter that the name Micah in Hebrew means "Who is like Yahveh?" It is sad indeed that more of His children do not recognize there is NO ONE who can compare to our Father in strength and love and mercy and justice. He has all power in heaven and earth for it is He who created the heavens and this beautiful earth, our beloved home for all eternity (Rev. 21). All this He did for His children because He loves them dearly and it gives Him great pleasure to bless them and to give to them so great an inheritance (Rev. 21:7, Rom. 8:17). For this reason alone He is worthy to receive praise and honor and we should be ever so grateful and appreciative of what He has done for us.
Now consider what we learned so far, which is that all our Father wants from His children is that they love Him enough to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with Him (Micah 6:8), which means to listen to His voice. You see, when we walk with Him and follow our Father's "ways", it brings His blessings of peace and happiness and prosperity to all. But when we follow the "ways" of the "abominable one" it brings the antithesis of those blessings and it brings forth His correcting rod to chastise the children He loves. To that end we have already read the warning in this great Book of Micah that the Assyrian (Satan) SHALL come upon this land (Micah 5:5) of the rebellious house of Israel and shall be used as the rod of His correction.Rev. 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
However, it is written that before "that day" when the Assyrian (as the spurious messiah) comes upon the land (at the 6th Trump) the "wise" of this final generation, the sons and daughters who are able to "hear" His voice and "see" His name, shall "Blow the (warning) trumpet (His voice) in Zion", i.e. to the lost sheep of the house of Israel who have strayed from the Word of God, from "walking humbly with their God"!
Are you one of the "wise"?
Let us now continue with the Book of Micah.
The word "crieth" means to "proclaim" as in to "herald". The LORD'S voice, as a trumpet (Rev. 1:10), is being heralded (preached, proclaimed) to the city, which is Jerusalem put forth as a figure of speech (a Metonymy) to mean the inhabitants of the land.Micah 6:9
The LORD'S voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
Hear ye! Hear ye! "Hear ye the rod and He who has appointed the chastisement." In other words, if you have wisdom you had better hear what punishment awaits (vs. 13).
Shall we revisit all the wickedness (lawlessness) and spiritual corruption we read of in chapter 3? Has it now gone away? Not![10] Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable?[11] Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights?
The word "abominable" in verse 10 means "defiled" and "abhorred" which is a direct reference to the influence of the abominable one himself (Satan). Also, "scant measure" refers to the ephah (a unit of measure of about 3 pecks) which the children of disobedience (kenites) make small at every opportunity! We read of this same corruption in Amos 8 concerning their method of operation in these last days.
So the question in verse 11 is: Should God let those who are "unjust" and "deceitful" go unpunished and not be held accountable for their actions? Should He reward them?Amos 8:5
Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?
These "rich men", these "liars" being spoken of here, are those who have gotten their riches through the unjust and deceitful means being discussed*. Our nation is in the sad spiritual condition it is in because we have strayed from our Father's Word and we have allowed these "rich men" to become our masters and to rule over us (Deut. 28:43). Of course there is nothing wrong whatsoever with being wealthy if that wealth is obtained honestly and through principled means.Micah 6:12
For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
You know the old saying "Like father, like son"? Well, the rich men refered to here, who are kenites (sons of Cain), operate just like their old man, "the father of lies" (John 8:44), Satan himself. The word "violence" in Micah 6:8 means unrighteousness, injustice, i.e. to violate truth and that which is right.
It is by this "violence" that Satan drew a third of God's children away from Him in the first earth age (Rev. 12:4). We can read about it the 28th chapter of Ezekiel which concerns the king of Tyre, i.e. Satan.violence = ñîÈç˜ chaòmaòs khaw-mawce' Strong's #2555
From H2554; violence; by implication wrong; by metonymy unjust gain:— cruel (-ty), damage, false, injustice, X oppressor, unrighteous, violence (against, done), violent (dealing), wrong.
This "wisdom" he possesses is the wisdom of worldly ways, not the wisdom from the Word of God.Ezekiel 28:4
With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:
As a "covering cherub" Satan was to protect the mercy seat which simply means to defend and "fence in" and uphold the truth, i.e. God's ways. He once did that and walked up and down in the midst of the "stones of fire" who are the children of the House of Israel represented by those 12 stones worn by the Levitical priests (and Satan in the first earth age - Ezk. 28:13).Ezekiel 28:16
By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
It is written in Ecclesiastes chapter one that "There is nothing new under the sun", which means there is nothing new in this earth age from that of the first age. Through the "rich men's" incremental "gnawing away" like locusts at our Christian beliefs and heritage and by falsifying the balances of economics and justice through usury and taxation and bribery, etc., they been able to usurp control of the powers of the Four Hidden Dynasties of Religion, Politics, Economics, and Education, and our people have ONCE AGAIN been led astray from the Word of God. If you want to know what it was like in the last days before the "katabole", the overthrow of Satan and the desolation (tohu va bohu) of the first earth age, then just take a look around today. Antichristian Liberalism has infested all areas of our society beginning with the first seal of Rev. 6, Religion, the churches of our land. So...covering = CëÇñ˜ CëÇNÜ saòkak sñaòkak saw-kak', saw-kak'Strong's #5526
A primitive root; properly to entwine as a screen; by implication to fence in, cover over, (figuratively) protect:—cover, defence, defend, hedge in, join together, set, shut up.
Therefore the rod of His correction is coming! To be "sick" means to "travail as a woman", i.e. to suffer labor pangs which we discussed in detail in a previous chapter. And the "desolator" shall come and lay waste the vineyard and desolate the souls of our people for in their ignorance and lack of wisdom from His Word most of our Christian brothers and sisters will bow to him (Satan) as their Lord and Savior.Micah 6:13
Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins.
Should all this be "new" to our understanding? Of course not! We were warned long, long ago:[14] Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.[15] Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.
These "locusts" are not insects but "people" as documented in Rev. 9 where we are warned of them again.Deut. 28:38
Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
[39] Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.[40] Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
Deut. 28:15
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
This is what Christ said:
The high places of our land are full of corruption; the churches of our land are empty (void) of His Word for instead of teaching it line by line and verse by verse they are given to following and teaching the traditions of men. Thus they commit the great "sin of Samaria"!Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
This verse speaks of both civil and religious disobedience to God's Word! Omri was the founder of "Samaria" and of Ahab's wicked house. The "statutes of Omri" refers to the fact that He followed after the way of Jeroboam and "made Israel to sin"! It is one thing to be corrupt yourself, i.e. that iniquity is found within you as was the case with Satan (Ezk. 28:15). It is quite another thing, a greater sin indeed, to deceive and to lead others astray from the Word of God as did Satan. It was for this reason that in the first earth age the unrepentant Satan was sentenced to die! That is why he is called the "son of perdition" which is to say the "son who will perish"!Micah 6:16
For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.
Here is the scoop on Omri:
Idolatry makes our Father angry! The problem is our people in their blindness and ignorance do not know they adulterers and fornicators, i.e. idolaters! Many think they serve the Lord by going to church and singing praises to His name because that is what the preachers teach them to do to please God! Here is what He thinks about those songs verses the things He said in Micah 6:8 that He wants us to do:1 Kings 16:23
In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah.[24] And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver, and built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill, Samaria.
[25] But Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse than all that were before him.
[26] For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger with their vanities.
Remember what we read in Micah 6:8? Our Father wants us to do "justly" according to His Word.Amos 5:23
Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.[24] But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
And what about old Ahab and Jezebel, that wicked woman?
The accounts surrounding Ahab and Jezebel have to do with Baal worship, that false god whom the people thought was really God. And so it is today that many Christians worship one whom they call Jesus but since they are Biblically illiterate they do not know that there are actually two Jesus Christs, the real one and the fake one! Therefore, they cannot tell the difference between the true Messiah who returns at the 7th Trump and the false messiah, the imposter who shows up at the sound of the 6th Trump to deceive the whole world BEFORE Christ returns (2 Thes.). Those Christians who believe in the any-moment Rapture Theory will believe this supernatural entity is really Jesus Christ and they will be spiritually seduced by him, having already been seduced by Jezebel's lies!1 Kings 21:25
But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.[26] And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
The whole point is that the idolatrous teachings of that woman Jezebel are alive and flourishing in the Christian community today and they will lead most Christians to jump in bed (spiritually) with the false messiah.
Have you ever read what He with the Sword and the voice of a Trumpet (Rev. 1:10) has to say to the church of Thyatira, TODAY?
Does your church teach the seducing doctrines of that woman Jezebel? Do you commit spiritual fornication with the great harlot or are you going to look Jesus in the eye on that day and say "I never had (spiritual) sex with that woman"? Think about it! Study God's Word and believe His Voice and quit listening to lies and liars!Rev. 2:20
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
You see, it all begins with the "transgression of Jacob" and the "sin of Samaria", which is the idolatry of our people who have been lead astray from the Word of God where justice and truth abide and instead are taught to follow after the traditions of men. This has resulted in a "famine" in our land which as brother Amos writes in his book concerning these last days, is a famine for the hearing of the Word of God, not a famine for bread nor a thirst for water... Amos 8:11 "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:"
Oh, don't misunderstand! We hear a lot about Jesus!
It's just that
His Word is not taught book by book, chapter by chapter, and line by line but by a few
and so we as a nation are void of the knowledge of His wisdom have become
as such a nation of Biblical illiterates.
Take the subjects of murder and capital punishment as an example. The 6th Commandment in Ex. 20:13 states that "Thou shalt not kill" (ratsach in Hebrew, which means premeditated murder.) And what should the punishment be for one who does "lie in wait" (premeditate) and commit murder?
God says just a few verses later in chapter 21 that he or she is to be killed, executed:
Of course if it is not premeditated murder then the punishment is not death.Exodus 21:12
He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.
The mainstream media (the four wind bags) and their "left handed" (ideologically) bedfellows in government and even many who call themselves of the "right" persuasion have stood up and called us Americans a "barbaric" people. In fact, there are many "bleeding heart" Christians who do not believe in capital punishment. You know what? They are either ignorant of God's Word or they do not believe God's Word.[13] And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.
And so it is because of the famine, the lack of knowledge of His Word and the doing thereof, that moral pestilences abound and corruption and injustices have infested our institutions both civil and ecclesiastic. Therefore our Father shall send the Assyrian (Satan) and MANY shall fall (into captivity) by the (spiritual) sword.
The honorable men, i.e. men who make judgments, be they senators, governors, judges, ministers, etc., are starved for the wisdom which comes from the Word of God. Their laws and their judgments therefore are not honorable and so it is written that those who should judge righteously and who do not repent of their ways, are going down! They shall be tread-ees indeed.Isaiah 5:13
Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. .
This verse speaks for itself. Corruption and all that is evil shall cease in our land and upon the whole earth for that matter and every knee shall bow to the King of kings and Lord of lords when He returns to rule with a rod of iron, which by the way is simply to govern with fairness and equity in adhering (with discipline) to the truth and justice of His righteous Word. The should-be-most-honorable will no longer rip off his or her flock, his or her neighbors, or his or her constituents.[14] Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
The word is "bow" before the LORD of hosts![15] And the mean man shall be brought down, and the mighty man shall be humbled, and the eyes of the lofty shall be humbled:
You know, our Father is so completely just and fair to all (He is not a respecter of persons - Acts 10:34) that it makes one wonder why so many men and women do not turn to Him and revere Him and walk humbly with Him, i.e. follow His ways that bring peace and happiness and blessings. Haven't we SEEN and EXPERIENCED ENOUGH of the pain and suffering and curses caused by "famine" and "thirst"? No, there is none like unto our Father and His righteousness.[16] But the LORD of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
There are NO SOCIAL PROGRAMS instituted by the beast of big government that can solve our problems in this nation. Neither can a false messiah! Only through the nourishment of and adherence to the Word of God is the solution to be found. But alas, because of the "famine" there is scarcely a truly righteous man or woman of God to be found, i.e. Christian soldiers with the gospel armor (Eph. 6) on who possess the strength and courage to stomp on the stinging scorpions and biting serpents and tell it like it is (Luke 10:19).Jeremiah 10:6
Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.[7] Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
Needless to say, our Father is very saddened by the conditions He finds on the earth and in this nation at the time of harvest, when the fruit should be ripe and His own vineyard filled with sweet luscious clusters that can be eaten. But what a mess His vineyard is in.
Here is what our Father has to say about it:
The "Woe is me" that begins this final chapter expresses the lamentation, the extreme disappointment and sadness our Father feels. He comes to His vineyard to reap a ripe plump cluster of grapes and instead finds that there are nothing but scattered grapegleanings left behind. Just about everything has been picked clean. By the way, the vineyard is the true house of Israel, those so-called "lost 10 tribes" who migrated over the Caucasus Mountains and settled in northwestern Europe and the British Isles and later made the pilgrimage to the Americas. If you want to know more about where the true house of Israel is today, then contact Artisan Publishers at www.artisanpublishers.com and purchase the little booklet The Abrahamic Covenant, by E. Raymond Capt.) or log unto pamphlets #1064 and #1020 on this web site.Micah 7:1
Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.
"These two lines (judgment...oppression & righteousness...cry) may be Englished by "He looked for equity, but found inequity; for right, but behold might", as used in oppression and producing a 'cry'." (see Companion Bible, note on Isa. 5:7, pg 937.)Isaiah 5:7
For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and He looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
As we say today, "They are all out for blood!", for what they get for self. Their version of the Golden Rule is to "Do unto others before they do unto you!" And do not forget about those who control the Four Hidden Dynasties, i.e. ride the four horses of the apocalypse (Rev. 6). Their version of the Golden Rule is that "The Guys with the Gold make the Rules".Micah 7:2
The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
We can sure see where this is true of the overall legislative and judicial systems in our country where both sides of the isle and both the ideologically declared "right" and the "left" hands do evil earnestly, together, in a "true bi-partisan manner". We do have some good people in our government, and this is not an all inclusive indictment, but the vision of our founding fathers where our leaders hold true to the concept of "One nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all!" has fallen short because there is too large a "separation of godly men and state", the church notwithstanding. Deals of compromise, plea bargaining, bribery, and all sorts of "flatteries" (chalaq* in Hebrew - see Dan. 11:32) have now become the norm. What about "Right and Wrong"? Who cares? Certainly not the lovers (fornicators) who make their beds with the beast![3] That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge asketh for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.
Note: Do you have the wisdom to count the number of the beast (Rev. 13:18), which is to use "smooth stones" in enumeration, i.e. to trace the mark of service of the kenites (sons of Cain) from the beginning in the garden to this very day and right up to the 6th Seal, the 6th Trump, and the 6th Vial? Look up the word "count" in your Strong's Concordancechalaq, khaw-lak', Hebrew 2505; a primitive root; to be smooth (figurative); by implication (as smooth stones were used for lots) to apportion or separate :- deal, distribute, divide, flatter, give, (have, im-) part (-ner), take away a portion, receive, separate self, (be) smooth (-er).
The "day of the watchman" means the day the watchmen foretold about, which is the time of calamity when perplexity, the confusion of right and wrong, and the inability and/or unwillingness to discern between the holy and the profane shall abound. Take a good look around and you should no longer have any doubts why our Father is angry and determined He shall come forth out of His place to tread upon the high places of the land (Micah 1:3)?[4] The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.
Those briars and thorns are those we just read of in Micah 7:4.Isaiah 5:5
And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:[6] And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
So who are you going to put your trust in? Are you going to follow the rising swelling beast system and ultimately become a loyal world citizen under the protection (and control - captivity) of the New World Order? You see, the days are coming when the abomination of desolation, the Assyrian (the false-christ), shall come upon the land and he shall tread and he shall exercise all the power of the first beast, the multi-headed, multi-national, one-world political, social, economic and religious system, i.e. the New World Order.[7] For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
It is written that this "son of perdition" will stand in the holy place and claim to be God, the Messiah returned, Jesus Christ, and it is also written that he will perform great signs and wonders in the sight of men (2 Thes. 2:4-9), like calling fire (lightening) down from heaven (Rev. 13:13), to show forth his "supernatural credentials" and thereby deceive the whole world (except for God's elect). Most of our brothers and sisters will believe the true Jesus Christ has returned, though he will be the false messiah, and they will want you to believe in him too! So the pressure will be on, my friend, and the spiritual heat of the fiery furnace will be stoked seven times hotter than it is wont to be right now.
Use wisdom and prudence and trust only in the Lord thy God and wait on Him. Trust not a friend, a leader, or even your wife. Stay in His Word and keep His way!Micah 7:5
Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
Note: The 37th Psalm is an "acrostic Psalm" in which the 4th, 11th, and 19th verses each begin a triplet (as opposed to a quatrain, i.e. four verses, in all other cases) which when taken together give us a graphic illustration of what happens to those unrepentant slickmeisters who have gotten rich by ill-gotten gain, such as those we have been reading about. They shall be like a fat droplet which falls from a spit onto the hot bed of coals beneath. Poof! They shall be vaporized, consumed away instantly, and gone up in smoke forever and ever!Psalm 37:34
Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Our own people, our loved ones of our own household, shall become spiritual adversaries to us because of the zeal they have for Jesus, i.e. the one who shall come and convince them that he is the Messiah. Jesus Christ quoted these very words from the Book of Micah in Matthew chapter 10 letting us know that Micah was indeed speaking of the tribulation of the last days.Micah 7:6
For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
Yes, it is written that many loved ones shall betray (deliver up) one another to the spurious messiahchrist (who they think is Jesus) and shall cause them to be put to death (as in spiritually slain).Matthew 10:35
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.[36] And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
Knowing that they are in a blind stupor of ignorance (Rom. 11) caused by the famine of these end times, the words of Jesus Christ as He hung on the cross come to mind: Luke 23:34 "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."Mark 13:12
Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
However, true Christians who know and keep God's commands will not take and eat the poison meat from king Nebuchadnezzar's (a type of false-christ) table when they are brought before him, nor will they drink the wine of fornication (i.e. which causes one to commit spiritual adultery) from the hand of the harlot (Rev. 18:3). As a result they shall be hated of all men for His name's sake but they shall wait upon their God and shall endure and hold fast to that which they have.
It is also written in this 13th chapter of Mark (vs. 11) that God's elect are not to premeditate about what they shall say when they are delivered up, for the Holy Spirit shall speak through them and they shall proclaim His Word's as they are instructed and given utterance by Him after the example set forth by the Holy Spirit on that first Pentecost Day following the resurrection.Mark 13:13
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Who should you therefore put your trust in? Who should you look to during the time of perplexity and confusion among nations?
There is none like Yahveh!Micah 7:7
Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
Next we will complete the Book of Micah which concludes with the promise from our Father that He will perform every promise He has made to His children from the days of old.
The hour of darkness is soon upon us. But there is good news and that Good News is Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.
When I "fall" means to fall into calamity, i.e. to be in that time of "darkness" when Satan is here, when the Assyrian comes upon the land to make it spiritually desolate. As it is written "We are the children of light" and Christ is our light which shines during the hour of darkness. 1 Thes. 5:5 "Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness."Micah 7:8
Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
This is important! "The time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation (Dan. 12:1)" is coming and we learned in verse 7, that we need to be patient and stay in His Word, i.e. look unto the LORD, and He will bring us forth to the light and we shall behold His righteousness (not our righteousness for we are sinners), as that light shines through us! In other words, He will perform a marvelous and wondrous work through His servants in these last days. That is why they will be singing the song of Moses (Deut. chapter 32) at the victory celebration as documented in Rev. 15:3 "And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints."[9] I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: He will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold His righteousness.
Let us repeat verse 7:
Are you one of God's elect? If so, what is it God will hear you say? "Save me?" No! Pay attention to the rest of this study because if you are one of His elect you love mercy and you SERVE HIM and you ask and receive for that which furthers that service (work), knowing that your salvation is sure in Him! You see, to God's elect the salvation of their families, their brothers and sisters, is actually more important to them and weighs on their minds more heavily than saving their own necks. Have you ever read the Book of Jonah?Micah 7:7
Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
The "she" who is our enemy refers to Assyria (vs. 12). In other words, the whole corrupt one world political, economic and religious system headed by Satan is coming down! And what is so amazing is that you can read about and preview the details of that great fall, i.e. of Babylon the Great, in the 18th chapter of Revelation. Actually, what is even more amazing and wonderful is that God's elect have a part in bringing her down!Micah 7:10
Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.
In the day (of calamity) your walls (the walls of that great city on Mount Zion) shall be built (in place of the walls of Babylon the Great which are coming down), when the "decree", which is the appointed time of our captivity, is far removed, as in removed forever!Micah 7:11
In the day that thy walls are to be built, in that day shall the decree be far removed.
"The day comes for your walls to be mended, the day for frontiers to be far extended, the day when folk come home to you from Assyria and from Egypt even to the Euphrates, from sea to sea, from range to range, though all the world lies desolate in retribution for its pagan ways." (Moffat)By the way, those spiritual "walls" of that great city will come down after the same manner as the physical walls of Jericho came tumbling down. In other words, when the seven priests (God's 7,000 elect, the seven shepherds) march around the city and "blow the trumpets", if you understand the analogy.
Now notice what happens at that day, the last day, at the sound of the 7th Trump:Joshua 6:13
And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
Joshua is the same as "Yeshua" in Hebrew and he was a type of the savior leading his people into the promised land just as Jesus leads us.Joshua 6:16
And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.
I've got news for you! Good News! God's elect are busy right now "marching and blowing the trumpets" and we are sooin taking over "Babylon the Great, that great city, the Mother of Harlots (Rev. 17:5, 18)", for we are going to bring her walls down and the mountain of the house of Lord shall be established in her stead. Yes, at the sound of the last trump! Looks like the blowing of the trumpet by the priests, God's elect, does some good, doesn't it? Here is the shout at the last trump (i.e. the 7th trump just as it was in the time of Joshua) when Christ returns.Joshua 6:20
So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
The Assyrian and his beastly friends are not going to like the shout of God's people, are they?1 Thes. 4:16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Let us return to Micah.
* This should read "they" as is "thine exiles". See the note on this verse in the Companion Bible.Micah 7:12
In that day also he* shall come [read "come home"] even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
This is the future gathering back of His people, those "exiles" taken in the great captivity of the Assyrian (the false-christ) in these last days. They shall come out of the fortified cities, i.e. bondage also symbolized by Egypt, and gather unto Him. That is really good news! But first (which is what "notwithstanding" means in the next verse) the desolator, that death angel (of spiritual death), i.e. Satan, shall come upon the land and make it spiritually desolate. Do you remember "Why" from the very first chapter of this great Book of Micah?
[13] Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
Micah 1:5
For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?
This prayer from Micah to the LORD is for Him to come feed (which means "shepherd") His people, the flock of His heritage, and lead them to "green pastures", which is symbolic of His truth, the Word of God. Then in vss. 15-17 below, the LORD answers this prayer and declares that He surely will, i.e. come again.Micah 7:14
... Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
Also, it should be pointed out that the phrase "As in the days of old" documents that this verse speaks of a yet future time and does not refer to the days of Micah when Israel was in possession of Bashan and Gilead.
Micah now continues with more of the Good News, a promise from our heavenly Father:
Again, this is our Father's response to Micah's prayer and His remedy (redemption) to the captivity and calamity of His people in these last days. And if you think the "marvellous things" He performed when he brought our forefathers out of Egypt were something, you "ain't seen nothin' yet". This will really be something to behold when the Lord redeems His people Israel.Micah 7:15
According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.
The nations SHALL SEE and they shall be "confounded", which means they will be utterly ashamed. Remember earlier, in chapter 5, we learned that it is God's elect, those Seven Shepherds (even "eight principal men" meaning plumb full of oil, whose "cups runneth over", i.e. anointed ones), whom He shall raise up to "take a stand" against Satan and "waste the land of Assyria with the sword (the Word of God)"?[16] The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.
As we noted in our study of chapter five, this "Man" is Yeshua, the Great Shepherd, leading the seven shepherds, God's elect, to do His will, like blowing the trumpets!Micah 5:5
And this Man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.
[6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
Go bruisers! Go!
Micah 7:17
They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.
He will put a stop to the chastisement (in fact He has evened shortened the length of Satan's reign - Mat. 24:22) and He will redeem His people and restore to them the inheritance He promised to Abraham. Who is like unto Him? There is no one so just and merciful as He and there is none other who can forgive us of our transgressions. You see, our Father wants to be merciful to His children for it is His desire that ALL should come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9).[18]Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
He will "turn again" means He will "return" and He will fulfill ALL of His promises! ALL of them![19] He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Jesus Christ quoted from this great Book of Micah in Luke 12:53 and so did Dr. Luke in Luke 1:72-73 where he speaks of the horn of our salvation, Jesus Christ, who would come and redeem His people and fulfill all of the terms of His holy covenant which He made unconditionally to our father Abraham.[20] Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
Luke 1:68
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,[69] And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
Jesus Christ is the Savior and the Light unto this world of darkness![70] As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:[71] That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
These next verses are taken from the last verse in the great Book of Micah.
Are you familiar with the holy covenant which the Lord God "sware to our father Abraham"? Luke sums it up for us:[72] To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;[73] The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,
[74] That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,[75] In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
AMENPsalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
