They all seem like such nice people. Yet, anyone with an ounce of common sense who turns on Sunday morning TV and surfs the airwaves would have to conclude that for the most part one has to be "stupid" to follow some of these prancing showmen who openly claim that God speaks to them directly and gives them exclusive "words of knowledge" that other lesser sheep in the audience aren't privileged to hear.
Are we as Christians supposed to just accept someone who claims to represent Christ?
Oh contraire, my Christian friend! Jesus Himself warned us, in this final generation, to be careful and take heed. Matthew 24:4-5: "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. [5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." Do you think Jesus was just kidding?
Then they are out there in full force, many of them, aren't they?
You see, it is really easy for dynamic personalities to "deceive many" in these end times with such powerful tools of communication as worldwide Radio and Television Broadcasts emanating from satellites encircling the earth 23,000 miles up in space. The fact that the technology is available to spread mass deception which is itself a "sign" of the season just preceding the return of Jesus Christ. It all became possible during the generation of the fig tree, i.e. this Baby Boomer generation.
However, the Word of God gives us explicit instructions as to how we are to handle preachers, teachers, ministers, pastors, evangelists and televangelists. TRY THEM, by checking them out in the scriptures to see whether or not they are OF GOD! Do it just like the Bereans did in Acts 17:11 after they listened to the Apostle Paul. Here's how they checked him out: "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so".
Do not believe anyone, me or anyone else including the pastor of your church, until you have checked their teachings against the scriptures.
A false prophet means a "pretended foreteller". That can certainly be one who pretends that God foretold him or her that someone out there in TV land has a hernia, and God is healing him RIGHT NOW!1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Christianity has been greatly damaged and subjected to much scoffing and ridicule by the non-believer, who perhaps could be converted if he or she heard the Word of God taught intelligently line by line, in context, instead of seeing goof-balls tell them to place their hands on their TV monitor and receive a miraculous healing. If one is willing to follow such a command, surely they can be inspired to call an 800 # where operators are standing by with their Visa machines.pseudoprophetes, psyoo-dop-rof-ay'-tace, Greek 5578; from Greek 5571 (pseudes) and Greek 4396 (prophetes); a spurious prophet, i.e. pretended foreteller or religious impostor :- false prophet.
This message is for our generation, as verse 5 will document. The prophets of Israel are the Christian ministers of the so-called lost tribes of Israel, who migrated over the Caucasus Mountains (thus they are called Caucasians) and settled in Europe, Britain and later to the Americas. So that we get a more up-to-date PICTURE of what verse 2 said, here are verses 1 & 2 quoted from the Living Bible:
That right! Our Father says these clowns are MAKING IT ALL UP! Their visions come from their own minds. And the watchmen in this generation are to teach against their phoniness by teaching the people, "Thus saith the Lord GOD", in the 13th chapter of Ezekiel.Ezekiel 13:1-2
Son of dust, prophesy against the false prophets of Israel who are inventing their own visions and claiming to have messages from me when I have never told them anything at all. Woe unto them! (Living Bible)
Don't misunderstand, God does talk to people on occasions, but He does not show up on stage and whisper a list of physical ailments into the minds of holier-than-thou religious leaders!
Do you know why it is "WOE" unto the foolish prophets who make up this stuff? It is because the ultimate penalty for leading God's children astray, according to the law of God, is "Death" (the second death, death of the soul). That is the penalty Satan received for leading 1/3 of God's children astray (Rev. 12) in the first earth age, and that is the penalty for anyone else who does the same thing, in this earth age. This teacher made the statement, now it is your Christian duty to check it out in God's Word and see whether or not it is so, and you can do that easily by reading Deut. 13:1-5.Ezekiel 13:3
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!
Foxes are sly and cunning. These guys and dolls are very crafty in obtaining gain in this spiritual desert where meat from our Father's table is scarcely served (Amos 8:11). Great music, fancy cathedrals, membership in the club, and they all say that Jesus is Lord, yep, He is the Savior. But what about teaching the Word of God? ! ? ! What about preparing our people in this final generation for the siege and spiritual onslaught of the soon coming king of Babylon, the desolator, the false-christ, who is Satan appearing as the Messiah, BEFORE Jesus Christ returns (2 Thes. 2)? We read in the previous studies that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks, IT SHALL HAPPEN AS IT IS WRITTEN IN YOUR BIBLE!Ezekiel13:4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.
The battle is coming, yet these dreamers and soothsayers have NOT built up a wall of protection for our people to STAND in in the battle! They are to instruct the people as we have been instructed by the apostle Paul, to put on the Gospel Armor and be prepared to take a STAND against the fiery darts of Satan.Ezekiel 13:5
Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.
Editor's Question: Are these the gaps Ezekiel is talking about? Live Link) to->>> Find and Fill the Gaps
Have you heard any of these God-talks-to-me-everyday pretenders say, "If you are saved, then you are in great shape, because you won't have to go through the great tribulation, because Jesus is coming back for His church, to take them away in the Rapture of the Saints?"Ephes. 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Yes, many of them actually believe this will happen, (the Bible Doesn't teach that!) but the problem is they have set themselves up as the spiritual leaders of our people, which is the most important position that there is, for it carries the greatest responsibility that there is, which is the fate of the souls of the children of Almighty God. Do you think He isn't aware of what you are doing?
And that "any moment you'll be taken away theory" is a Big Fat Lie (BFL)! We Christians are supposed to take a STAND! That vain vision of flying away, now called the Rapture Theory, was SEEN by a mentally ill lady by the name of Margaret MacDonald in the year 1830 in Glasgow, Scotland. It is nothing more than an easier, softer way! It is "easy religion" and it sells really well, doesn't it? But it is not documented in God's Word and you can check out its origin in church history!
So did God send all of these preachers who claim they receive these frivolous, empty messages from God?
Instead you have lied when you said, 'My message is from God!' God did not send you. And yet you expect him to fulfill your prophecies. Can you deny that you have claimed to see 'visions' you never saw, and that you have said, 'This message is from God,' when I never spoke to you at all?Ezekiel 13:6
They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.[7] Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?
Ezekiel 13:8
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.
They are NOT going to make it to the Promised Land, and they will NOT be part of the First Resurrection. Why?[9] And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
They have deceived God's people by saying, "You are safe and secure, you will not come under siege", and that is not His plan at all. Haven't they read Ezekiel? He's sending the king of Babylon. So one pretender puts up a "flimsy wall", a doctrine of false hope that will not stand, and all the others perpetuate it and cover it with "whitewash".[10] Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:
God wants His watchmen to say something to those whitewashing fools:
Tell them their wall is COMING DOWN! When the storm hits, all that whitewash will go straight down the drain to hell.Ezekiel 13:11
Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
I sure wouldn't want to be the preacher who has to answer that question to our Father.[12] Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?
Do you understand this "Thus saith the Lord GOD" verse?[13] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.
Did you read the part where they shall be "consumed" in the midst thereof? Here's the complete definition of "consumed" from Strong's Concordance:Ezekiel 13:14
So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and Deut. 13 stands.kalah, kaw-law', Hebrew 3615; a primitive root; to end, whether intransitive (to cease, be finished, perish) or transitive (to complete, prepare, consume) :- accomplish, cease, consume (away), determine, destroy (utterly), be (when...were) done, (be an) end (of), expire, (cause to) fail, faint, finish, fulfil, × fully, × have, leave (off), long, bring to pass, wholly reap, make clean riddance, spend, quite take away, waste.
When the Lord GOD is finished with them, their flimsy wall will be GONE, and so will they![15] Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;[16] To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.
Thus saith the Lord GOD!
Now our Father is going to address the most dangerous doctrine in Christianity in this final generation. Do you know what it is?
If there is one thing that we Christians need to understand, it is that "Christianity" is the cloak under which Satan uses to spread his lies and abominations. Names and titles can be misleading, even very deceiving. For instance, many people believe that the Federal Reserve Bank is part of the Federal Government because it bears the name "Federal", but it is a privately owned corporation and is NOT part of our government.
Likewise, we have learned that there are many religious leaders who preach, teach, heal, and prophesy using the name of Jesus Christ, who Himself prophesied they would come in His name and so do! "But take heed", Jesus said, "that they don't deceive YOU", for they will and have deceived the masses, for they are false prophets, false teachers indeed! What constitutes a false teacher? Someone who teaches theories of men and the traditions of men and not the Word of God.
Oh, they use the Bible. They quote a verse here and a verse there and make it APPEAR as if it says something it does not say. Anyone can do that! E. W. Bullinger, in his book "How to Enjoy the Bible" discusses two of the most common techniques employed to twist scripture. The first is called "Text Mangling" where you simply pull scriptures out of context.
Here are some examples:
And then there is "Text Garbling" where one can really formulate creative doctrine by combining "out of context' scriptures into a logical story flow:“There is no God” (Ps. 14:1)
“Hang all the law and the prophets.” (Mat. 22:40)
"And David comforted Bath-sheba his wife,
and went in unto her." (2 Sam. 12:24)
“Go and do thou likewise.” (Luke 10:37)
"And.. that thou doest, do quickly." (John 13:27)
2 Cor. 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
2 Thes. 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
[2] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Christ is not returning until the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet stands in Jerusalem claiming to be Christ. Now you can either believe someone who tells you he or she might "vanish" at any moment or you can believe the Word of God as simply put forth by the apostle Paul. The choice is yours.[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Let's read what our Father has to say about this "fly away" doctrine called the any-moment Rapture Theory.
I know it isn't popular and it may sound like "bashing" to some ears, but God said to His watchman to set their faces against the "daughters of your people" and "teach against" false prophets and false doctrines, and those who prophesy out of their own hearts [minds] instead of out of the Word of God. After all, it is a matter of eternal life or death, isn't it?Ezekiel 13:17
Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,
Note: The word "daughters" is actually "ben" in Hebrew, which means "son of", like Ben-Hur, which means son of Hur. Also, you will find the word "women" in the next verse to be in italics in the King James Bible, because it is not in the original text. The point is that there is no gender implied in the analogy. We are talking about all those who cover-up God's truth and use other crafty means to ensnare God's children.
Here is what God wants Ezekiel to say to them:
If you have a Companion Bible, it will explain the terminology used in this verse. It simply means WOE to those who conceal God's outstretched saving arms with "cover-ups", false doctrines and devices used to market their religion, i.e. to "hunt for souls [people] to save" and fill the auditoriums.[18] And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
Would they pollute God's Word and teach out of their own hearts for MONEY? You bet your sweet collection plate many of them would, and they do! Do you think there are no "hirelings" in Churchianity? Then read John 10:12-13.[19] And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
Many Christian ministers do "slay the souls", cause the spiritual death, of those who should be fed the truth of His Word, by "setting them up" to fall before the spurious messiah. They also give false hope to others, by LYING to their congregations, to God's people that hear their LIES!
Though some of them truly believe the Rapture Theory is Biblical, it is nevertheless a LIE, and God doesn't like it, neither do His watchmen.
The word "fly" is "parach", Strong's # 6524, and it means, among other things, specifically to fly (as extending the wings). It also means to escape. If you have been studying this Book of Ezekiel with us then you know that there will be no escape, no flying away, when the king of Babylon comes. God's watchmen will be here, though they will be on the protective side of the Iron Pan (chptr. 4:3), but they will still be here.Rev. 9:4 documents that when Satan, i.e. the false-christ, and his army are here, they may "sting" [not kill] "only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads."Ezekiel 13:20
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
Their cover-ups are going to be torn down and God will put an end to their recruiting methods. And they will get to know the LORD real good for a change! He has a way to deal with liars.[21] Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
This verse says it all. The fly away "Rapture Theory", the Big Lie of the modern Christian era, saddens our righteous Father and even His watchmen. These liars, though some are unknowingly liars, promise the people a quick trip out of here, an easy ride to the kingdom free of tribulation, and consequently some teach there's really no need to study the Book of Revelation. WOE unto them!Ezekiel 13:22
Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
[23] Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Our Father loves His children very much. Let's do as He says and love Him back!
