Who are the two witnesses in Revelation
chapter 11?
John's thoughts about who the two witnesses of Revelation 11:3-14 are.
Let's speculate
for a
minute: The Bible doesn't say they are
2 individual men.
(WE JUST KNOW THEY'RE MEN BECAUSE OF THE REFERENCE TO THEIR DEAD BODIES
NOT BEING PUT IN GRAVES IN VERSE 9) Did it ever occur to you that
it
may be referring to numerous men from 2 different churches? As
in
"members of the churches of Philadelphia and Smyrna" talked about
in
Revelation 2:9 and 3:9
who know who
the people are who claim to be Jews but are not, but do lie.
Revelation 2:9
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but
thou art rich) and
I know the blasphemy of them
which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of
Satan
Revelation 3:9 Behold, I
will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and
are not, but do lie;behold, I will make them to come and worship
before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Satan, the false-christ, the spurious messiah, when he comes to earth
claiming he is God surely would want to shut those men up, even if he
must kill
them to accomplish it.
