Religion, Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
Part 1

The visions of the prophets were not given for their understanding during old testament times. They were give for our understanding during these end times. (Please Read Daniel 12:4,8 &9)

Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Daniel 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

Before the angel gives answer to this question, he again informs Daniel that the words given unto him concerning the wondrous things that would happen were not for his time, but rather for the time of the end.

[9] And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

The words are given for the time of the 6th Trump, the time of testing, the great tribulation, "the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Rev. 3:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Part 2

Let's look at what Ezekiel found in the 5th Century B.C. when God showed him what was happening inside the temple  (Read Ezekiel 8:5-18)

Verse [9] ...Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.

Nothing has changed since then! (Read Ezekiel Chapter 13 where Lying prophets are condemned)

Note: 13:5 makes reference to the same "day of the Lord" that John was taken to.

Ezekiel's vision of the defiled temple wasn't meant for his time any more then God's visit to him in a flying saucer, as he describes in chapter one, could have been understood prior to our present space age. You and I have no problem whatsoever understanding what the vehicle was that God visited him in because we have actually seen 5 tons of shiny metal fly so many times that it is not at all unusual to us. It's normal everyday life. But imagine someone 2500 years ago who actually saw something like a Jumbo 747 and four F-17 Fighter jets land right before his very eyes!  Well, Ezekiel did see "something like that", only the vehicles that he saw were circular and more high-tech than our crude propulsion aircraft of the 21st century!

Let's measure the temple of God as John was told to do in Rev. 11:1

Rev. 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

Remember John was taken spiritually into the future (Rev. 1:10)  to "The Lord's Day",  the Millennium which in this year 2015 is very close a hand. (documenting that is for another lesson which we will get to later).

Why do you imagine John was told to measure the temple again during these end times?

For the same reason Ezekiel was 2500 years ago.

Just like the temple was over thrown by the physical King of Babylon in Ezekiel's time the spiritual church is being taken over by the spiritual King of Babylon (satan, the spurious christ) during our time.

Part 4

The visions of Ezekiel, a type of God's elect in this final generation, describing conditions in the temple/church: Ezekiel 33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

Many Christian's hardly ever read the books of the Old Testament except for what they call "Bible Stories", like the Holy Spirit is some kind of a fiction writer.

They look upon the Old Testament books, like Ezekiel, as being sort of ancient history, old irrelevant writings of prophets who lived a long, long time ago and who have long since been dead! What possibly could they have to say about the 21st century and our modern times? And yet they know not that the book of Ezekiel contains more prophecy in the last nine chapters about the future time of the Millennium than any other book of the Bible including the Book of Revelation, for the entire plan of God is written in the Old Testament including both the first AND the second advents of Jesus Christ. It is all the Word of God.

Always remember 1 Cor. 10:11. The physical types set forth in the Old Testament happened to give us a clear PICTURE of what we can expect to befall us spiritually in the last days. Jesus even said in Matthew 24 that just as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be before He returns.

Are we going to have another Flood of Water?

NO!

That was a type!

The fallen angels are coming again and we are going to have a FLOOD of LIES (Rev. 12:15) that will deceive the whole world and sweep away the ungodly, to their spiritual death!

Part 5

God warns Ezekiel about false church doctrines and the consequences thereof.

Ezekiel 4:13 And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.

Note: 'Bread" is always symbolic of "doctrine".

You can read of their dismay and astonishment in Revelation chapter 18. Meanwhile, there are not much undefiled bread to be found in the world today. We are in the famine of the end times, and it will get a whole lot worse when the "spurious christ" himself arrives. Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Not many of God's children eat the scroll within and without that is laid before them, yet most people have it available in their very homes.

Ezekiel 5:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her. Ezekiel 5:11 Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity. Ezekiel 5:16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

If you are one of God's elect, then the staff of your bread is not broken. Our Bread is plentiful and we feast at the table of the Lord, having more abundant "Manna" from heaven than we can ever consume in a lifetime. You have heard the expression, "It's feast or famine". Salesmen understand what it means very well, but it is an accurate description of the last days. There is only one table at which you can feast, and that is the undefiled table of the Lord. If you get bread somewhere else I can tell you what's mixed in it!

Ezekiel 5:17 So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.

Again, we can understand this verse in it's physical, historical fulfillment, but as it is written in 1 Cor. 10:11"Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come."

We do not lack for the true Bread of Life and Jesus Christ has given us power over all our enemies.  Dragons Beware! Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Ezekiel 6:6 In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

He said it ALL before at Mount Sinai! He will destroy the sanctuaries, the high places, and you know what else? He will NOT hear their prayers, which is what "I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours" means.

Ezekiel 6:7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Yet from the beginning, from before the foundation of this earth age (Eph. 1:4), God chose some of His children who were faithful to Him and stood against Satan at his rebellion, to be a remnant, His elect, to carry forth His truth among His scattered and scatter-brained people. And in this earth age he plants these elect into the wombs of flesh mothers where and when He will to carry forth His truth among us scattered Israelites.

Ezekiel 6:8 Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

If you have eyes to see and ears to hear then you are part of that remnant who are called His elect in this final generation.

[9] And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

The "their" are those who have committed idolatry, i.e. whored around with other gods and abominations, even the "abomination who makes desolate" spoken of by Daniel the prophet in chapter 9 of his book. "Their" eyes SEE their Churchianity as being true Christianity while they roll Ishtar eggs and bring quick-like-a-rabbit Easter bunnies into their sanctuaries and teach people VISIONS of mentally ill women (I speak of Margaret McDonald's vision of the fly-away rapture theory in 1830) instead of the Visions from the Word of God. They are going to find out real soon that the LORD God means business! The king of Babylon is coming at the sound of the 6th Trump to take them captive and they will fall by the famine and the sword and the pestilence!

[10] And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.
