The Book of Isaiah
Chapter 7

Wise old king Solomon stated in Ecclesiastes 1:9 "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun." And so it is that HIStory does indeed repeat itself, even the history from the first earth age if you have understanding. Therefore it follows that since history repeats itself then history is prophecy! In other words, the events that happened in the past are ensamples and forerunners of that which shall be, types and episodes of that which is yet to come. The apostle Paul also documents that to be true in 1 Cor. 10:11-12 where the subject is the history of our forefather's experiences in the wilderness.

1 Cor. 10:11-12
Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Sadly though, the majority of Christians are void of the in-depth knowledge and wisdom contained in the Law and the Prophets. Many who claim to be "saved" and in good standing with the Lord virtually ignore the Old Testament and are therefore ignorant of the written ensamples of history that give us graphic illustrations of that which is to befall our people in these last days. Therefore because of their lack of wisdom and knowledge, because they will not take heed to His Word, they shall stumble and fall in the great apostasy of worshipping Satan when he comes to earth as the spurious messiah in the last days... which is that great "forsaking in the midst of the land (Isa. 6:12)" we read about in chapter six.
[12] Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Since our people as a whole have not "taken heed" to the ensamples it is no wonder that their eyes have become closed and their ears dull of hearing. This is an important concept to understand before we begin this study, for in it we are going to read an ensample of how Assyria became "confederate" with Israel and caused our people to war among themselves. We will also see in this ensample that God will not allow the evil counsel of the confederacy to stand (vs. 7) for His plan differs from that of men's... and His will always supercedes their puny counsels (plans).
Isaiah 7:1
And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.
Names have meanings that give those with eyes to see and ears to hear a more in-depth understanding of that which our Father would have us know from His Word. In fact, we will see in this and the next few chapters that the names of four children sum up the story of Isaiah, which is to say "Yahveh's Salvation". Here are the meanings of the names given in verse one to which we shall refer as we continue our study.
Ahaz = "Possessor".
Jotham = "Yahveh is perfect."
Uzziah = "Strength of Yah."
Rezin = "Firm"
Syria = "Exalted"
Pekah = "To Watch"
Remaliah = "Protected by Yah"
If you look at a map of the lands at this time you will see that the only direct way for the king of Syria, whose land lay beyond Israel, to attack Judah (even the lion of Judah in the spiritual sense) and the city of our God, is to become confederate with the house of Israel so as to be able to go through (march through) the land. Pekah, the son of "protected by Yah", who as king of Israel should have been a guardian, a "watchman" among the people as his name implies, by remaining "firm" and trusting in God, instead allied himself with Rezin, the king of Syria, to allow him to enter into and pass through the land.

The point in all this is that we have been warned in our Father's Word time and again not to enter into alliances with heathen nations and we were told what would happen when the kenites, the sons of Cain, aka the locusts and the stranger, enter in (Deut. 28:42-44, Amos 6:14). You "see", both history and currents events document that the kenites, who are the children of disobedience, will always instigate and cause our people to war among themselves, both with swords made of steel and in these lasts days with swords made of words and concepts and ideologies. Divide and conquer has always been one of the kenite's most prolific and effective MO's (Methods of Operation) against the children of the vineyard. The wisdom in understanding this will reveal the very causes of civil war among Christian nations and within Christian nations.

Let us continue as Ahaz and the people of the house of David receive the warning, the unsettling news of the Syrian confederacy with the northern ten tribes, the house Israel, and their plans to come against Judah and Jerusalem.

[2] And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
The hearts (minds) of both Ahaz and his people were "moved", as in shaken like trees when a mighty wind (ruach) blows. The attempt of the "confederacy" here as verse "6" will show is to "make a breach (break down the walls) and to "vex" (clip off the harvest) Judah and to "set a king" (a foreign king symbolic of you-know-who) "in the midst of Judah", i.e. in Jerusalem. This has always been the intent of the "self exalted one" to stand in the holy place where he ought not. Remember the name Syria, shortened form of Assyria, means "exalted". Remember also from our chapter six that there shall be a "forsaking in the midst of the land" in the last days! However, that great apostasy and the setting up of the false king in the holy place shall happen according to our Father's plan, not according to man's. In other words, God is in complete control and His plan is to bring about the deliverance and salvation of His people, which is what "Isaiah" means... "Yahveh's salvation"! Part of that great plan is to use the king of Assyria, even Satan himself and his locust army, as the tool for bringing them to their spiritual knees.
[3] Then said the LORD unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field;
Shear-jashub, whose name means "a remnant shall return", is the first of four sons we shall encounter in this and the next two chapters that tell the prophetic story of the "Salvation of Yahveh". The "remnant who shall return" are the truth bearers of the final generation, even the sons and daughters of the prophets spoken of in Acts chapter two who bring forth and declare His righteousness (Ps. 22:30-31), which is His Word, and who shall wait upon the Lord and be left standing in the field, in the vineyard, when all others have fallen to and been taken (spiritually seduced) by the false messiah.

To further help us understand what shall be happening and at what time, we are given the location of the fuller's field which is where the cleansing and whitening of one's "garments" took place. Here is an excerpt from Smith's Bible Dictionary on the subject "fuller":

fuller, The trade of the fullers, so far as it is mentioned in Scripture, appears to have consisted chiefly in cleansing garments and whitening them. The process of fulling or cleansing clothes consisted in treading or stamping on the garments with the feet or with bats in tubs of water, in which some alkaline substance answering the purpose of soap had been dissolved... The process of whitening garments was performed by rubbing into them calk or earth of some kind. Creta cimolia (cimolite) was probably the earth most frequently used. The trade of the fullers, as causing offensive smells, and also as requiring space for drying clothes, appears to have been carried on at Jerusalem outside the city.  (Smith's Bible Dictionary)
The remnant shall return in the last days, at "the end of the conduit", and then there is going to be some treading and stomping to cleanse the garments and make them white! Daniel 12:9-10 "And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. [10] Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Are you one of the wise who has understanding? All wisdom comes from our Father's Word.
[4] And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
These are God's instructions concerning the news of the coming Assyrian invasion.
1. Take Heed - shamar, shaw-mar', Hebrew 8104; a primitive root; properly to hedge about (as with thorns), i.e. guard; generally to protect, attend to, etc. :- beware, be circumspect, take heed (to self), keep (-er, self), mark, look narrowly, observe, preserve, regard, reserve, save (self), sure, (that lay) wait (for), watch (-man).

2. Be Quiet - shaqat*, shaw-kat', Hebrew 8252; a primitive root; to repose (usually figurative) :- appease, idleness, (at, be at, be in, give) quiet (-ness), (be at, be in, give, have, take) rest, settle, be still.

3. Fear Not - yare', yaw-ray', Hebrew 3372; a primitive root; to fear; moral to revere; causative to frighten :- affright, be (make) afraid, dread (-ful), (put in) fear (-ful, -fully, -ing), (be had in) reverence (-end), × see, terrible (act, -ness, thing).

4. Be Not Fainthearted - lebab, lay-bawb', Hebrew 3824; from Hebrew 3823 (labab); the heart (as the most interior organ); used also like Hebrew 3820 (leb) :- + bethink themselves, breast, comfortably, courage, ([faint], [tender-] heart ([-ed]), midst, mind, × unawares, understanding.

There is simply no cause for fear or anxiety if you know that our Father is in complete control and you are wise to know from His Word what His wondrous plan is for these last days. You "see", He just called the kings of Syria and Israel a couple of burned out pokers, smoking firebrands, which are sticks that have been scorched by the consuming fire, even our heavenly Father (Heb. 12:29)! So take heed, which means to be on guard as a true watchman and have the peace of mind and courage to know that when God is with you (Emmanuel) there is nothing to fear, for no one can counsel to do against His Will... NO ONE! Romans 8:31 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"
[5] Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
The "confederacy" to come in the last days, even the One World System, will take evil counsel against God's elect to cull them out of the true vineyard and bring them to nought with the rest of the deceived and subdued, to have the false king, Satan himself, to rule over them. So take heed! Here is the plan of the confederacy historically and in the futurist type:
[6] Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
This is an ensample of man's desire to establish his own king and in the last days there shall be a king established indeed... for the false king, even Satan himself, shall come at the sound of the 6th Trump and stand in the holy place where he ought not!
vex, quwts, koots, Hebrew 6973; a primitive root [rather identical with Hebrew 6972 (quwts) through the idea of severing oneself from (compare Hebrew 6962 (quwt*))]; to be (causative make) disgusted or anxious :- abhor, be distressed, be grieved, loathe, vex, be weary.

breach, baqa`, baw-kah', Hebrew 1234; a primitive root; to cleave; generally to rend, break, rip or open :- make a breach, break forth (into, out, in pieces, through, up), be ready to burst, cleave (asunder), cut out, divide, hatch, rend (asunder), rip up, tear, win.

Tabeal means "God is good" or "pleasing to God". Do you think man's attempt to take counsel and establish an Assyrian king over the people of God is "pleasing to God?" Think again! Next verse:
[7] Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
Understand from this that our Father is in complete control. You "see", no matter what plans man may devise, when God declares a thing to be... THAT is how it shall be. And the good and comforting news from the prophet Isaiah is... when God is with you (Emmanuel) there is no counsel or confederacy of man's that can stand against His will and His power for He can make them a smoking firebrand in a heartbeat.
Isaiah 8:10
Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.
So do not worry about what man can do. Fear, as in reverence, your Father and His Word and the Lord shall be your rest and your sanctuary!
Isaiah 8:13-14
Sanctify the LORD of hosts Himself; and let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.
Again, do not fear the things that man can do, even the son of perdition. Matthew 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
[14] And He shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
If you do not sanctify the LORD of hosts Himself, you will be unwise and unknowledgeable and you will fall in the great stumbling, the great apostasy, the great forsaking "in the midst of the land" when the abomination of desolation, that abominable one, is finally come! Once again, this happens at the sound of the 6th Trump when Satan and his angels are cast out of heaven to this earth as documented in Rev. 12:7-9.

Note: We will discuss more of how Jesus Christ is a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence to the spiritually blind when we come to these two verses (Isa. 8:13-14) in the next chapter.

Isaiah 7:8
For the head of Syria is Damascus, and the head of Damascus is Rezin; and within threescore and five years shall Ephraim be broken, that it be not a people.
There's the plan and the plan shall come to pass accordingly as He has purposed it! Man has not the power even with a confederacy of all the nations of the world to interfere and spoil what He has ordained to be so. Ephraim was the largest of the 10 tribes of the house of Israel at this time and so it is used figuratively here to represent all 10 Northern Tribes, the house of Israel, which if you recall from chapter five is His Vineyard. Now notice what it is that shall be broken "that it be not a people". It is their identity as a people, as His people, as the house of Israel. And so it has come to pass that our people have indeed lost their identity and the true knowledge of their rich heritage. The fact remains that most who are of the true house Israel do not know to this very day that they are of the so-called "lost tribes" of the house of Israel. However, though they have lost themselves and have become as orphans and widows, their heavenly Father has never lost sight of them. He knows exactly where they are... and so must you in order to understand the prophecies pertaining to these last days.

Isaiah 7:9
And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If ye will not believe, surely ye shall not be established.
You "see", the Assyrian in confederacy with Israel wanted to (counseled to) split off part of the house of Judah and set-up a king to rule over them, but that was not going to happen because God's plan was to split off Israel and scatter them abroad among the gentiles. And so it came to pass that they were taken captive by Assyria and later escaped over the Caucasus Mountains and migrated into Europe and the Isles of the West. They became known as Cimmerians and Celts and Scythians and Saxons, i.e. 'Saac's sons (Isaac's sons)! Later many made pilgrimages to the Americas where the "forgetful of their heritage" established the "13" original colonies... which soon became the United States of America. Did you know that the name "Manasseh", who became the 13th tribe when Joseph's birthright was split between his two sons (Gen. 48), means "forgetful" or "causing to forget"? That sure is a fitting description for most people in our nation cannot trace their ancestry any further back than great grandpa. How about you? Do you know where the true house of Israel is today? If you do not know who the so-called lost 10 tribes of the House of Israel are and where they dwell today, then contact Artisan Publishers at www.artisanpublishers.com and purchase the little booklet The Abrahamic Covenant, by E. Raymond Capt.) or log unto pamphlets #1064 and #1020 on this web site.

And by the way, the number "13" denotes rebellion and apostasy in Biblical numerics which indeed makes it a fitting number for a rebellious people, the house of Israel, the people of vineyard (Isaiah 5:7). Ezekiel 2:3 "And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day." How have they rebelled against God? By forsaking His Word to follow after the idolatrous traditions of men! Also, do not think it is coincidental that the prophecy given in Isaiah 7:8 concerning when His people would be "broken" so as to "not be a people" is "65" years! As Dr. Bullinger points out in The Companion Bible on page 940, those three score and five years historically were made up of Ahaz 14 + Hezekiah 29 + Manasseh 22 = 65 (13 x 5)! Yes, the number "13" which is stamped upon the founding of this nation is the number of rebellion and "5" in Biblical numerics is "grace". And so it is to this day that God sheds His grace on those 13 tribes and it will be His loving grace that brings them back to Him, to "be a people" once again. However, do not overlook the last part of Isaiah 7:9 stating that "if ye will not believe, surely you shall not be established", meaning that we must trust and rely on Him and His grace, even Yahshua Messiah, to ultimately be established as His people. There is a figure of speech, a Paronomasia, used in this verse to add emphasis to this truism. It would be like saying, "no belief... no relief", or "no confiding... no abiding"! Then too, it is written in the great book of Malachi, whose name means "My Messenger", that Elijah would come in the last days and turn the hearts (minds) of the children back to the fathers (Mal. 4:6)... which for the children of Israel is back to and through their forefathers in a direct line to their heavenly Father. What a thrill it is for a lost child to find his or her way back home... even to the bosom of Abraham!

There's more... so take heed!

[10] Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
[11] Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.
God told Ahaz through His prophet not to fear or worry for He would deliver him from the evil counsel of the confederacy. God then told Ahaz, the possessor, that he could ask for any sign he so desired in heaven or in earth to show that His promise is true and sure! However, even though God just told him through the prophet Isaiah (Yahveh's saves) not to be concerned with those two firebrands, those two as-good-as-burned-out embers, Ahaz rejected the offer of His surety.
[12] But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD.
First of all, God is not asking Ahaz to tempt Him but rather with the sky's the limit, "what miracle will it take" for him to believe and trust in Him for deliverance. But we discover in verse 17 that Ahaz did not believe anyway! He had already "hardened his heart" which means he had already "made up his mind" to make a counter-alliance with Tigleth-Pileser to whom he probably already sent messengers (2 Kings 16:7, 2 Chron. 28:16). (See the parallel column notes in the Companion Bible, pg. 940). In other words, Ahaz would rather look to men for his safety and protection. How about you? Where do you put your trust and reliance to maintain peace of mind and security... in the systems of government and men's health organizations and financial markets, i.e. the god's of gold and silver, etc.? Think about it!
[13] And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
Our Father is wearied (grieved) by the unbelief of His children and in their forsaking of His sure Word by refusing to trust and rely on Him and instead looking to man for protection and deliverance. Man cannot save! It is Yahveh who saves. Even the name Yah-shua means Yahveh's Savior! Therefore, the LORD Himself shall give a sign and a wonder... and here it is:
[14] Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Immanuel means "God with us" which is certainly sign and wonder (miracle) enough, wouldn't you agree? You "see", the Lord Himself promised to come dwell with us to save us from our sins and deliver us from our enemies. All we have to do is "harden not our hearts as did our forefathers in the day of temptation in the wilderness" and turn to Him and "hear His voice (Ps. 95:7-8, Heb. 3:15, 4:7)" which is to believe and trust in Him. And so it came to pass that the LORD Himself did come down from above (Jn. 3:13) to be born of a virgin and dwell with us... "Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us"! Does He dwell with you and you with Him? John 14:17 "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."
Matthew 1:21-23
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.
Again, Jesus, Yah-shua, means Yahveh's Savior. He and only He can save His people from their sins!
[22] Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
The prophet spoken of here was Isaiah through whom God gave His promise of this wonder... and as always He made good on His promise.
[23] Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Pretty remarkable and a marvelous wonder indeed! Hallelujah!
Isaiah 7:15
Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
In the futurist sense this simply means that Yahshua shall be perfect and thus able to save and heal His people.
[16] For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.
Historically speaking this came to pass when the child was yet a babe as both Pekah, king of Israel, and Rezin, king of Syria, were slain two years later! Your documentation can be found in 2 Kings 15:30 and 2 Kings 16:9 respectively. God's Word is always sure! Prophetically speaking, Jesus Christ will be the King of kings, the King of Israel, and all other kings shall be forsaken and become as these two firebrands.

And so it is that the LORD determined to bring the king of Assyria upon His people and scatter them that they may eventually come to know the need of their salvation and deliverance.

[17] The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father's house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
Remember that history is prophecy and so it is that the historical king of Assyria and his army that came swiftly upon the land were a type of Satan and his locust army that shall come against our people in these last days.
[18] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
These are figures of speech that express how quickly and suddenly the LORD shall bring Satan and his locust army upon the land. In other words, God shall "give a whistle" at the appointed time and Apollyon and his locust army, those fallen angels who are cast out of heaven with him at the sound of the 6th Trump (Rev. 12:7-9) shall swarm like bees upon the land. By the way, Egypt is symbolic of "oppression" and Assyria is symbolic of "captivity", both of which are coming our way and even now are increasing upon the land.
[19] And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.
The point is that the whole land shall be made desolate and so the only place to rest is in the desolate valleys and holes of the rocks and parched thorny ground... again because that's all there is!
[20] In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.
God is going to use the very Assyrians our people have become confederate with to shave us clean of all that we possess... both physically, i.e. economically through usury and taxation, and spiritually by consuming the heritage of vineyard and causing our people to be drawn away from God's Word. Again, understand in the prophetic sense that this refers to the last days, to the locust army who shall swarm through the land and consume every green (living) thing in their path to the point that the vineyard of the LORD shall become a desolate place.

Note: Notice that verses 21, 22, & 23 below all begin with the same phrase And it shall come to pass, which a figure of speech called an Anaphora, sentences all beginning with the same word or phrase, the purpose of which is to give emphasis to the points of prophecy in that day!

[21]And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;
Our Father's Word is the "lush green pasture" wherein there is never a shortage of grazing! However, it not only shall come to pass, it already has come to pass in large part, that the land shall be so spiritually desolate that there will only be enough pasture to nourish a young cow and two sheep. Live Link to- the famine is coming That's not much of a flock, is it? The great prophet Amos gives us this same picture by explaining what the "famine" is Christ spoke of in Matthew 24 and Mark 13.
Amos 8:11-13
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
The great famine in the last days is a spiritual famine, a famine and dearth for the hearing (teaching) of the living truth of God's Word! Where can you go in the land to find lush green pasture? All that is taught in most churches are the traditions of men that make void the Word of God.
[12] And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
Have you found the green pasture? It is His Word... not church and not the traditions of men! Those who follow after churchianity instead of dwelling in the green pasture, i.e. instead of studying and rightly dividing the Word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15), shall stumble and fall in the great apostasy... because they have hardened their hearts and forsaken His Word!
[13] In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
However, there shall be more than plenty in the land for the remnant to eat and drink. You "see", the remnant, God's elect, do not participate in the spiritual famine of the last days spoken of by Amos. They eat from the table of the LORD where there is always a feast prepared for them.
Isaiah 7:22
And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.
Remember back to verse 15 where the son, Immanuel, would eat "butter (curds) and honey". Well, the only ones left (alive, spiritually alive) in the land at this time will be the remnant who shall have more than plenty to eat, even the butter and honey, and do you know why? Because of Emmanuel... God is with them!
[23] And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall even be for briers and thorns.
That is not a very pretty picture is it? Where there were a thousand vines, i.e. in the vineyard, worth a thousand shekels (in rent money), there shall be nothing but worthless briers and thorns that aren't worth a Tinker's dam! Hopefully you remember what the vineyard is from chapter five: Isaiah 5:7 "For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel...". Hey, it is pretty hard to plant seeds of truth that grow and become fruitful when there is nothing but briers and thorns in the vineyard, isn't it? Are you familiar with the Parable of Sower in Matthew 13, the one Christ said you must understand if you are to know any of His parables?  The Parable of the Sower
Matthew 13:22

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Jesus Christ gave His disciples (are you one?) warning concerning the thorns, even the cares of this world. Don't let the Word of Truth be choked out!
Luke 21:34

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Are you beginning to understand the plan of our Father in these last days is to allow the Assyrian army, Satan and his locust army, to desolate the vineyard because our people have hardened their hearts and forsaken His Word? He is grieved that His people simply will not hearken unto His voice but would rather listen to the traditions of men.
Isaiah 7:24
With arrows and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.
History records that the Assyrian king did come indeed... and because of the type given to us for our admonition and understanding (1 Cor. 10:11), i.e. because HIStory is prophecy, we know that Satan and his angelic host shall also come and make spiritually desolate the vineyard of the LORD! It is written... and so shall it be!
[25] And on all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.
The once plush vineyards on the hillsides that were weeded (digged with the mattock) and kept so beautiful, will be nothing but briers and thorns, good for nothing but a stomping and grazing ground for but a few small beasts.

So how about you? Are you "confederate" with the Assyrian, who is a type of the false Messiah? Are you busy being about putting your faith and trust in the works of your own hands and in the One World System, or have you received the sign and wonder of Isaiah 7:14 to have "God with you" as your sanctuary?

The choice is totally yours! May God Bless You in your search for green pasture!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
