In our last study we learned that on the last day of this flesh age, that the bow will be smitten from the leftist hand of Gog, the chief prince of Ro'sh, Meshech and Tubal, by the mighty nature of God . The 7th Trump will have sounded signaling that "it is done", the Lord's Day has arrived and we have now entered the Millennial reign of Jesus Christ and His saints.
What will be happening during the time of the Millennium? It will be a time of teaching and discipline in following the laws of God.That means that there will be NO MORE pollution/liberalism allowed to enter into the ways, or shall we say powers, that can cause men to be drawn away from their Father as so many were in the first earth age. The King of kings and Lord of lords shall rule with "a rod of iron", i.e. with authority and discipline, and the Zadok shall enforce compliance to His ways. What are those ways or powers that can be liberalized to deceive the sons of God? They are the Four Hidden Dynasties of Politics/Governance, Education, Economics and Religion that have now come under full control of the beast system, the New World Order, in this final generation.Ezekiel 39:8
Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.
Remember in our last study in Ezekiel 39, verse 7, God said, "So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. The questions is, "What will happen when someone tries to pollute, i.e. begins to go astray?" They will be rebuked, as it is written in Isa. 2:4. (see Isa. 2:4 below)
Let's take some time before finishing this final transition chapter of Ezekiel 39 and establish some of the those things that will transpire during the Millennium.
Later in Ezekiel we will learn that the Millennial Temple will be established in Jerusalem, the world capital where the seat of world government shall rest with the King of kings.Isaiah 2:2
And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
There will be teaching and enforcement of God's laws as the truth of His Word flows forth from Jerusalem unto all nations.[3] And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
There will be judgments to settle issues and disputes among nations and people, and there will be rebuking of many people, and they are going to learn the ways of God, the ways of peace and BURY all thoughts of war, i.e. unlearn war! What is shown to us here is that the "lessons of the flesh age" where there were wars and weapons of war, be remembered and will be used to teach peace and show the result of what Satan's liberal ideologies ultimately lead to... DEATH & DESTRUCTION! And it will be God's elect, the Zadok, who will execute the judgments among the people and teach and yes, do some rebuking! Here is your documentation concerning the Zadok (those of us who who were granted iternal life at the First Resurection), which means the "just ones", i.e. God's elect.[4] And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Of course God can force obedience but the wonderful thing said in this verse is that God's children will (and must) be taught to be able to discern for themselves and then DO that which is right, and even more so, to WANT TO! There's not much discerning happening now when you look at how corrupt and liberal our governments, our schools, and our churches have become, but it won't be like that during the Millennium.Ezekiel 44:23
And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
You have just read by "whom" and "how" the "rod of iron" is carried throughout the Millennium! (And by the way! The ruling of the US Supreme Court will be immediately overturned and you'll be able to pray before football games.)[24] And in controversy they shall stand in judgment; and they shall judge it according to my judgments: and they shall keep my laws and my statutes in all mine assemblies; and they shall hallow my sabbaths.
However, we are now going to learn in this 39th chapter of Ezekiel that the first order of business after Christ returns and destroys Babylon the great and defeats the forces of Gog at Hamon-gog and those at Armageddon, will a period of CLEANSING of the land and of the souls for having been touched by the unclean thing, even the abomination of desolation.
So let's go there, to the time just after the defeat of Gog!
Keep in mind that everyone is now changed into incorruptible spiritual bodies and the time of great teaching is about to commence. Everyone is now "on record" as having demonstrated their "stuff" while they were in their flesh bodies, i.e. revealed the true character of their souls as manifested in their flesh behavior. Satan's jailor and nemesis, Michael the archangel (Rev. 12:7), has just locked up that son of perdition to begin his 1000 year jail sentence on "Death Row" where many people on educational field trips will pass by during the Millennium and look upon him "narrowly", i.e. as being a low-life scum-bag, and then shake their heads and say, "I just can hardly believe it, ...
If you have studied the Book of Ezekiel with us, then you know full well that Satan, the antichrist, the king of Babylon, is prophesied to come. But we know from Rev. 9 that he and his ministers will only be in charge for a 5 month period, at the conclusion of which Jesus Christ returns and the party is over! Here's Isaiah's account of the 7th Trump as it pertains to antichrist, the soon coming king of Babylon.Isaiah 14:4
... Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Hey! What happened to the NWO and that phony Jesus who reigned in the golden city of Babylon (confusion)?Isaiah 14:4
That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
The LORD has broken ALL his and his adminstrator's authority and has demoted all those wicked rulers to the status of "peons" and has confiscated their little old crowns. Those crowns will be given to the Zadok.[5] The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.
God will put a stop to Satan's smiting and oppression when He knocks the bow from the hand of Gog at Hamon-gog, destroys the 7,000 fallen angels at Armageddon (Rev. 11), and locks up Satan for 1,000 years. THEN we shall have true peace and rest![6] He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.
The earth has now entered the Lord's Day, the 7th Day Sabbath, which is that 1000 years of rest, and the overcomers in Rev. 15 sing the victory Song of Moses, which is the 32nd chapter of Deuteronomy.[7] The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.
That old box-cedar (Ezek. 31), that tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Gen 3), will no longer be able to bring oppression and deceit to God's children.[8] Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
Satan's power and authority will be less than that of a skid-row bum. All that magnificent pomp and splendor and prestige and POWER of might that he so gloried in...![9] Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.[10] All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?
See how you like it in the filthy, dirty pit with all the bugs and worms, a fitting dwelling place for you, oh king of Babylon, after you've elevated yourself to such a high level at the expense and hurt of God's children.[11] Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
You were such a high and mighty superstar, but look at you now! You have been visibly exposed as a lowlife liar, cheat, and thief, and you are no longer the mighty Prince and Power of the Air. You are the now the Prince and Power of the Worms in your pit! Teach them to be liberals why don't you![12] How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
That "I" attitude will kill you![13] For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I don't think so![14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Yeah, where all the worms can crawl all over you! Boy, won't you be an impressive sight for visitors? And there will be "passers by" on those educational field trips to visit you, Mr. Hasbeen, on a regular basis to get a firsthand glimpse of the man who caused so much grief among men.[15] Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
What are you going to say them, Satan, "Trust me this time and I'll give you Cuba or how about a cabinet post? The best you can offer someone now is a worm." LOL[16] They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
It should be obvious from these scriptures that Satan will be on display during the Millennial time of teaching to show what happens to a person who exalts himself above all others and tries to usurp God's authority and implement liberal programs among the children. We have the history and the destruction of two earth ages to document and teach with.
But as we have read in Ezek. 38 & so far in 39, there was another major event that just took place in Hamon-gog, the upper north land of that one nation under God at the 7th Trump. Christ had just destroyed the multi-national military forces led by Gog, who were on their way to the land of the free to take a prey and a spoil! Gog and company were smashed to the ground in an awesome display of God's power and their carcasses were left for the buzzards and the wild beasts in the open fields.
So here is what happens immediately following the 7th Trump and destruction of Gog at Hamon-gog. There shall be a period of cleansing and purification.
This is the same as that which we read in Isaiah concerning the beating of the weapons into plowshares. Though there shall be a literal cleansing of the land, this burning with "fire" for "seven" times is a spiritual cleansing and purification. Seven, the number denoting spiritual perfection, is also used as a period of remaining unclean during purification, even as we shall see when we get to chapter 44 when the Zadok go forth from the temple to help their loved ones. They must cleanse and purify themselves for 7 days before reentering the temple. And so it is with the entering of the Millennium.Ezekiel 39:9
And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
No one is going to do any other work until the cleansing and purification period is complete, and the cleanup begins with those just destroyed in the final battle.[10] So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.
Both the Septuagint and the Vulgate translate "a place there of graves" to read a "memorial for burial" (see note in Companion Bible). In other words, there shall be a magnificent Memorial and Cemetery Site of Gog and his multitudes established in the Valley of Hamon-gog, which shall remain all through the Millennium. Why?Ezekiel 39:11
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog.
Well, suppose during the time of teaching, the Millennium, one of those "dead bones" who participated in the battle of Hamon-gog begins to go astray and needs a little rebuking! He can be escorted to Death Row and shown the "man in the pit" and have explained to him how he got there and how he is now awaiting the SECOND death, and then our stray can get aboard a highly polished bronze vehicle with other passengers and fly to Alaska to the Hamon-gog Memorial Cemetery and be shown "his very own grave"! That will be a sobering experience and "stop his nose", especially when he goes inside the Hamon-gog Memorial Building and watches the 4D Video of the final battle and sees himself get thumped with an 180 lb. ice cube! Then he can watch the buzzards and the wild beasts feast on his flesh. Should be educational indeed!
In other words, this will be a complete cleansing of the land, meaning the land (people) of Israel, as the whole house of Israel puts to rest the Battle of Hamon-gog. This is a national event as the next verse shows, "ALL the people of land" shall participate in the sobering cleansing and purification.[12] And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.
How about that!! There will be a "Hamon-gog Day" during the Millennium! It shall be special day set aside when we remember Hamon-gog and glorify our Father for what He has done for us. Just as He delivered our forefathers out of the pursuing hands of Pharaoh and destroyed his army, so shall He deliver us out of the pursuing hands of Gog and destroy his army. We shall remember both as a memorial![13] Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
This word "passenger" is an interesting word in Hebrew in that it means to "cross over" and is used very widely of any "transition", and so it is that we are discussing the very burial of those who have just made that transition from the flesh body to the spiritual one. And now they MUST make the transition from "spiritually dead" to "eternal life" by the time the 1000 years is over, for then the judgment will occur following Satan's short release to give a final exam. So I like to read this verse that after the cleansing and burial has been completed and the Hamon-gog Memorial and Cemetery has been established the men of continual employment will serve as instructors and tour guides at the memorial. The word "search" means to examine, i.e. after the cleansing and purification process has been completed, the examination, the teaching of what has happened here, will begin.Ezekiel 39:14
And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.
And when the passengers who were in the final battle visit the Hamon-gog Memorial, the men of continual employment can go setup a huge temporary billboard by their visitor's grave with their name on it in big letters for all to see as they pass by! Hey, it's a time of teaching and fields trips are very educational, aren't they?[15] And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.
Sure looks like this will be a popular site as there will be a city built there too, called Hamonah, which means "To the Multitude". Well, the workers have to live somewhere.[16] And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
These next four verses, from verse 17 through verse 20, are spoken to every feathered fowl and to every beast of the field and describe the magnitude and the completeness of the sacrifice of the forces of Gog and the defeat of all the princes and fat cats of the earth.
My guess is we'll be able to watch the replay of this feast of the birds and beasts at the Hamon-gog Memorial Center Auditorium. It shall be part of that great spiritual teaching and therefore it is literally from the table of the Lord, direct as we read it here from the Word of God. Think about it!Ezekiel 39:17
And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.[18] Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
[19] And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
[20] Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
In the next two verses we are once again for emphasis instructed of the two-fold purpose in the sacrifice of all those people at Hamon-gog:
1.) It is for the benefit of the heathen nations that they witness the power and the judgment of the LORD (vs. 21), andAll the nations shall see the complete desolation of Gog, the chief prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and all his multitude.2.) It is for the benefit of the house of Israel to know their Redeemer (vs. 22).
Ezekiel 39:21
And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
From that day forward throughout the entire Millennium and forever more, Israel shall know that the "I AM" is the LORD their God.[22] So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.
And the heathen are also going to know, and see, and be taught, that the only reason they were able to even come against His people Israel is because He was chastising them for their idolatry, for trespassing against Him. He allowed them to be taken captive and to be dispersed among the nations and to fall by the sword of the king of Babylon, which in these last days is the spiritual sword of Satan. However, God will NOT allow His people to be physically annihilated by the heathen. Got that Gog? This is one nation under God, which means under His protection! You try to come against them and you'll have their God against you! Maybe you should read Ezk. 39:1! Oh, you don't believe in God? Don't worry, you will soon enough!
If you transgress against God, He will not be enquired of you. Remember that from Ezekiel 20:31? "For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you."Ezekiel 39:23
And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.[24] According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
The shame shall be great when His people realize they have worshipped the false messiah!Ezekiel 39:25
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;[26] After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
The Millennium is the final restoration of the house of Israel and the Lord GOD will forever be with His people.[27] When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;[28] Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land (America), and have left none of them any more there.
What a beautiful time the Millennium will be in contrast to the physical and spiritual mess we now find this earth in under the prince and power of the air. The lands and the nations shall be restored and there shall no longer by any pollution of liberalism under the administration of Jesus Christ and His Zadok.Ezekiel 39:29
Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
