Pamphlet #6208 Genesis KC 3-3

Do not to be ignorant about the length of God's day!

Point #2.) There has always been, and continues to be, discussion as to the duration, length of time,
of each day of this re-creation, i.e. was it 24 hours as we reckon a day,
for it says the evening and the morning comprise the day, or was it longer?

In so far as the sun and moon are not placed until the fourth day of creation (verse 16),
it would hardly seem that the current status of a day would apply, at least to days 1-3, would it?

Peter told us in his second book not to be ignorant about this,
especially about this one thing, because God does not reckon time as we do.

2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
God's days are not the same as man's.

Are the days of this re-creation after Genesis 1:3 God's, or are they man's?

Who is present and who isn't?

The answer is obvious.

Also, keep in mind that the Lord's Day, that Sabbath of rest,
is that period of time we call the millennium, which means 1000 years.

So the last "day" of this earth age will be 1000 years.

There is nothing new under the sun.
