In tribute to our founding fathers, those Godly men who established this nation as one nation under God, let us consider the following excerpts from George Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation of 1789:
George Washington's 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation"WHEREAS it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favour; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me "to recommend to the people of the United States a DAY OF PUBLICK THANKSGIVING and PRAYER, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:"
Notice I did not say "Church and State".
Of course our founding fathers wanted to avoid another "Church of England" but they certainly did never intend that God and His Word, our Rock, be removed from either our private or public places.
In fact, the very reason public schools were started in the first place was to teach children how to read the Bible!
Today in many of our public schools, children get chastised or suspended if they are caught reading the Bible in school!
My how far we have wandered from truth and common sense.
...And also, that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions;-- to enable us all, whether in publick or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us); and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.GIVEN under my hand, at the city of New-York, the third day of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and eighty-nine."

Isaiah 18:3
All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when He lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when He bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
"See" and "Hear" all ye inhabitants of the earth.
You got the message?
Get it now... or get it later the hard way!
Of course, this is not something new that we are reading in Isaiah for our Father declared long ago that He would proclaim the name of the LORD in these last days.
You can read it in the Song of Moses which is the 32nd chapter of the great book of Deuteronomy, the song the overcomers of the "beast" in these last days are singing in Rev. 15.
Deut. 32:1-6
Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.[2] My doctrine shall drop as the rain, My speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
[3] BecauseI will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
That proclamation of the coming kingdom (the King and His dominion) shall be given by God's elect when they are delivered up.
Mark 13:9-10 "But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. [10] And the gospel must first be published among all nations."
[4] He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He.[5] They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
You may recall we read this same thing, that our people have corrupted themselves, in the first chapter of Isaiah.
Isaiah 1:4
Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
You cannot go around just mouthing the words "Lord, Lord, Praise the Lord" and "I Love Jesus" and ignore studying His Word.
Because if you do not study the Written Word of God and keep His commands then you cannot come to know the Living Word of God, Jesus Christ, and on top of that you show by your actions (or lack thereof) that you do not really love Him!
You "see", if you did love the Lord you would get to know Him through His Word and keep His commands!
Jesus said in John 14:15, "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
One of those commands can be found in 2 Tim. 2:15 if you care to check it out!
Also, have you not read how many Christians will say to
Christ when He returns "...Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works (Matthew 7:22)?"
Christ's response to them will be "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (vs. 23)."
The bottom line is that no matter if you go to church or not, if you do not seek to know Jesus Christ through His Word, then you are an unwise and foolish virgin indeed for you have forsaken the LORD!
Deut. 32:6
Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath He not made thee, and established thee?
Nevertheless, the message to all "ye inhabitants of the world and dwellers upon earth" is that they had better "see" the ensign that the LORD has lifted up and "hear" when He blows the trumpet! ''
To wit, the USA is to be that ensign, that One Nation Under God who stands to protect freedom and liberty and justice for all.
Well, we may have fallen short of our ideals and our duty to God and country because we have strayed ever so far from the true Rock of our salvation and for that reason we shall be taken into the captivity of the New World Order in these last days.
But let there be no doubt, even as we shall read in the last verse of this chapter, our Father shall yet establish Zion and as we read back in Isaiah 9:7: "Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will
perform this."
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
