Pamphlet #5132 KCJames8-2

The next time you sit on the white throne of humility (the porcelain one which is yours) consider how short life really is.

Of course none of what James has told us is of any value to us unless we do something about it, right?

If there is one overall point that James would have us to know it is James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."

Therefore, if you are guilty of backbiting other Christians, cease and desist immediately.

Get off the White Throne.

It doesn't belong to you!

That is why ministries who teach the Word of God line by line and tell it like it is never mention or single out other churches or religious groups or individuals or answer questions regarding them.

Sure, some are offended by the unbridled truth of His Word when it exposes the traditions of men, but the best any of us can say regarding that is "There but for the grace of God go I."

If you have come out of confusion (Babylon) and into the marvelous light of truth, then be patient with your brothers and your neighbors and love them by exercising the perfect Law of Liberty through our Lord and Savior.

Just do it!

He was patient with you and my guess from personal experience is that He still is!

I thank God He is with me.

Now a word from our Father, through his servant James, to the business minded Christian.

James 4:13
Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
Is your Christianity for real?

Remember what James asked in verse five of this fourth chapter?

Does any of what the scriptures say really mean anything to you?

Are they written in vain?

As the saying goes, "Do you GET IT?"

"Come on now", is what James says in verse 13.

You claim you are a Christian, right?

Do any of your big business plans for the next year include God?

Or do you subconsciously believe in the separation of God and business, like your business is no business of His?

Of course as we just read, some like to interfere in God's business and do God's job and be the judge of His children, but that is ok in the mind of Mr. Nondoer.

James 4:14
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
The next time you sit on the white throne of humility (the porcelain one which is yours) consider how short life really is.

You can be here today and you can be gone tomorrow!

Our life here on earth under the sun amidst this material world is but a blink of an eye.

And the older we get the faster time seems to fly by, so that the second half of our lives is shorter than the first half, if you know what I mean.

We could begin listing the long line of extremely rich and very famous people all of whom are now pushing up daisies.

Yet it is amazing how many of our Christian brother's and sister's plans for the future are totally worldly!

You would have to say they just don't get it!

If you haven't read the Book of Ecclesiastes then you should really take the time to do so.

The wisdom and experiences of Solomon will impress upon your mind the vanity of seeking after the pleasures and riches of this material world.

When it is all over, you end up with nothing!

As the saying goes, "You can't take it with you".

It is as good as being flushed down the white throne, the one whose plumbing branches off to the IRS and the estate tax treasury coffers of the federal and state governments.

What about it Christian?

Are you a doer of the Word?

Is your Father's will included in your future business plans?

God has a business plan too, you know!

He is in the business (allow me) of saving the souls of the children He loves so dearly.

That plan was set forth from the beginning and the timeline of events was set forth with it.

You see, He has included you in His plans.

The question is, "Have you included Him in yours?"

James 4:15
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
Are you a Christian?

Have you looked into the perfect Law of Liberty and seen what manner of person you are?

Did you SEE and then walk away and forget who you are?

Are you one of God's servants or not?

"Come on now", James says!

If you are a child of God then you are in His will and you should know that our Father is in complete control.

For a Christian to arrogantly think that God has no control over his or her job or business is just plain stupidity.

That is not backbiting or name calling, it's just a fact.

James 4:16
But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
Think about it the next time you go to work.

Is everything you do on the job or in your business purely the result of your great business acumen and management capabilities and foresight, etc?

Don't you know that your Father can make or break your business?

That is not a statement to frighten anyone because He wants us to be happy and successful and prosperous!

But "Come on now!"

He also wants you to be a doer of His Word!

If you exclude Him and His will from your daily life and your business plans for the future then you say by your actions that you are the one in control, not Him.

Again, I'm not your judge nor is anyone else but I do know that the hearers who are "doers", the overcomers in Rev. 15, will be singing the victory Song of Moses from Deuteronomy chapter 32.

What will the "hearers only" be singing?

Probably the once popular song titled, "I Did it My Way."

James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
You know what?

This is almost akin to denying the Holy Spirit to speak through you, which is blasphemy.

To claim you are a Christian and to know how to do good and serve Him according to the perfect Law of Liberty, and then go away forgetting what manner of person you are and do nothing for your Father and leave Him out of your plans, is sin indeed.

You should know better and be ashamed.

If anyone fits that category then go back and "DO" verses 7 through 9.

In our next study we will see what happens to those who have gotten rich through corruption.

They have major problems.

Don't miss it!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them {the ancient Israelites} for ensamples, and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
