America - The Evil Empire
We're in Need of the Third Great Awakening
Charlton Heston is right.
There is a "culture war" taking place in America.
He recently told the students at Georgetown University,
"Today the battle
is for your hearts and minds,
for the freedom to think the way you choose to think,
to follow that moral compass that points to what’s right."
Political correctness
is making slaves out of a once brave and independent nation!
A biology professor in Oregon is being dismissed
from his college classroom
for daring to challenge the liberal education elite’s pet doctrine,
evolution.
A 12 year old boy in Michigan was recently
"separated"
from his classmates
and put in a special
"mentoring" program
where some pointy headed socialist
can monitor his
"thought processes"
until it is determined
that the boy is no longer a threat to his school.
What was his crime?
Expressing support
for the First and Second Amendments
to the Constitution!
All over the country, patriotic,
God-fearing people are being threatened,
harassed and intimidated by government bureaucrats.
Social workers threaten parents
who spank their children.
Zoning boards harass churches
for everything
from feeding the poor
to even trying to control
the number of
parishioners that attend worship
services!
Federal employees are intimidated,
as are public school teachers
and students.
Businesses are required
to endure egregious environmental
regulations
that border on the insane!
Government today is completely inverted
from its historic definition.
The scripture says government
is to be
"a terror to evil works."
Instead,
government is fast becoming
a terror to good works.
The Declaration of Independence states,
"We hold these truths to be self-evident,
that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their
Creator
with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life,
Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
That to secure these rights,
Governments are instituted among Men,
deriving their just powers from
the
consent of the governed.
" However,
government today is not securing people’s rights;
it is stealing them.
Their powers are not derived
from the consent of the governed,
but by brute force and intimidation!
Our Founding Fathers warned us of this day.
President John Adams said,
"We have no government
armed with power
capable of contending with human
passions
unbridled by morality and religion….
Our Constitution was made
only for a moral and religious
people.
It is wholly inadequate
to the government of any other."
America is fast losing its goodness,
its sense of history and decency.
This is by design.
Joseph Stalin noted
that America’s gatekeepers were
morality, patriotism and spirituality.
He went on to say
that America would collapse
if those virtues could be destroyed.
This is currently taking place.
What was once considered aberrant
is now considered normal.
Evil is called good
and good is called evil.
America is in desperate need
of a third
"Great Awakening."
We need a renewed commitment to common decency,
a revitalized appreciation for
our moral heritage
and a rejuvenated desire for
inward integrity.
After all,
America’s strength has always been,
not in hardware,
but in humility,
not in wealth,
but in wisdom,
not in treasure,
but in trust,
not in genius,
but in God.
Absent a revival
of
morality, patriotism and spirituality,
America is doomed!
