Mob Rule & Big Money

After
the Revolutionary War
our
forefathers formed a new government
The United States of America
They're Goal was a democratic government
giving the citizens the freedom of self rule.
Most
of these men were very well read, having studied
Plato,
Aristotle, Cicero, Bacon, Locke, Voltaire, Hume, Montesqueu
From
these studies they learned that all previous attempts
at
democratic government in the history of the human race had failed.
The main reason being, that straight democratic rule is mob rule!
To avoid this, they formed a limited representative republic.
This still allows for self rule but, instead of direct democracy,
it is government through democratically elected Representatives making the laws
with
a democratically elected President
running
the day to day, week to week, month to month operation of government
and
a
Supreme Court
to
determine if those laws are permissible
under
the United States Constitution.
What Was Their Strategy?
The strategy being
the democratically elected part-time officials would act as a buffer to themajority(mob) rule
and
limited government would not attract corporate money influence,
because
with
government only involved in national defense,
and
very little else,
it would not be necessary to gain government favors (advantages) over competition.
With
the three branch system of checks and balances;
laws
would be made based not on emotion but,
only
after careful consideration
of
what is best for the country.
It Worked Well For a While
The system worked well as long government was kept small
and
our
elected Representatives
did
not depend on their presence
in
the legislature as a full time job.
Since government has grown to its current size
taking on functions
neither our founders nor the constitution allow
the legislature has become full time work;
therefore
our elected officials
depend
upon it to be steady;
it
became their livelihood.
Now
Instead
of a system
where
new legislation
is
passed on its well considered merit
we have
Legislators
Watching Polls
Evil
Evil
to
be sure they pass popular legislation
Twin
Twin
and
Sisters
Sisters
Counting
Campaign Contributions
to
be sure they have more to spend on re-election
then
any challenger.
Why
They
do this
in
order to win re-election
and
keep their job.
Keeping Their Job
has
become more important
then
doing what is best for country!
Folks
When opinion polls influence how our legislators vote
That's Mob Rule!
This
Country won't stand very long
unless
we change it.
It
may be too late
to
change it by election,
because
we
already have more people
in
this country
who
receive a government check
(Whether
Pay check or Welfare check)
then
we have people
paying
the bill (tax payers).
One of Three things will happen!
#1. The country will fail, hopefully good people will be in position to establish a new government
