Are you deceived about
what Satan's gross sin was
during the first earth age?

We read that when Satan (Lucifer) was created,
he was perfect but he became evil.
Here's what caused him to become evil:

Ezekiel 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
Ezekiel is referring to Lucifer as once being a very honorable and esteemed individual
by our Father and all of His children too!
[13] Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;
This verse documents that we are not talking about the literal human king of Tyre.
This is all about Satan.
This next part of the verse is very insightful if you have eyes to see and are familiar with God's Word.
[13 ... continued] every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
First we see that Satan was created just like everyone else.
But, we also see that a "workmanship" was also prepared for him.
What in the world is that?

Here's the definition of the Hebrew word "workmanship".

mela'kah, mel-aw-kaw', Hebrew 4399; from the same as Hebrew 4397 (mal'ak);properly deputyship, i.e. ministry; generally employment (never servile) or work (abstract or concrete); also property (as the result of labor) :- business, + cattle, + industrious, occupation, (+ -pied), + officer, thing (made), use, (manner of) work ([-man], -manship).
Lucifer was given a very important duty or position in the first earth age.
He was a priest!

No, you say, you never heard such a thing!

 Notice in verse 13 that "every precious stone" adorned him.
This means that Satan wore the "Breastplate of a Priest of God",
a very high position indeed!

Yes, and verse 14 will show he was "anointed" to this position by our Father.

But then we find out that Satan has a problem.

Ezekiel 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise

they have filled the midst of thee with violence,
The NIV reads: "Your great wealth filled you with internal turmoil and you sinned."

I seems he loved THINGS and MONEY!
Isn't that a surprise?
Have you ever heard of a priest or a minister
or a government official who has been corrupted by money?
Now we know where their greed comes from!
Editors Note: We did not say all priests, all ministers, or all government officials.

and thou hast sinned:
This Hebrew word for "sinned" is "chata'"
and it is extremely important to understand its meaning,
for contained in this word is what Satan did that was so evil.
chat*a', khaw-taw', Hebrew 2398; a primitive root; properly to miss; hence (figurative and general) to sin; by inference to forfeit, lack, expiate, repent, (causative) lead astray, condemn :- bear the blame, cleanse, commit [sin], by fault, harm he hath done, loss, miss, (make) offend (-er), offer for sin, purge, purify (self), make reconciliation, (cause, make) sin (-ful, -ness), trespass.
The proper meaning here is (CAUSATIVE) LEAD ASTRAY.
"Causative" as defined by Webster is:
(1.) effective or operating as a cause or agent
(2.) expressing causation; specif.: being a linguistic form that indicates
that the subject causes an act to performed or a condition to come into being.

You see, Rev. 12:4 declares that Satan drew the third part of God's children away from God,
and caused them to fall to the earth,
which is a figure of speech meaning he caused them to "fall" from "tamiym", perfection,
from the good graces of our Father and from listening to and following Him!
Satan "sinned". He led a third of God's children astray!

Rev. 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:
That is what Satan did that God could not allow.
It was bad enough that he himself became corrupted,
but God could have just removed him from the earth
and life would have continued on as it was in the very beginning
when God created the heaven and earth.
Remember, in the beginning of the first earth age (Gen. 1:1).
All of us, His sons, were happy and delighted and joyful.

What was our loving Father to do?
A third of us followed Satan's evil lead, should he destroy a third of his children?

Let's read the rest of Ezekiel 28:16

Ezekiel 28:16 [..continued]  therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God:
and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Satan lost his position as Priest
and the "Breastplate of the 12 Stones"
 and his death sentence is about to be announced!
Ezekiel 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty,
thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:
I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
 Satan gets a great big lesson in humility,
though not for his sake,
but for the benefit of us, the other children,
to serve as an Example and a Reminder to us!

God has not carried out this sentence just yet.
It will be done during the Millennium,
at the end of this 2nd earth age,
when he is cast into the pit
and everyone who walks by will "look down" on him
and see him as the "scum" he really is.

Let's read about it in Isaiah
Isaiah 14:12-16 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!
how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Did you notice that???
There were nations back then in the first earth age,
and there are nations now in this earth age,
and there will be nations in the eternity (Rev. 21).

                 [13] For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven,

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

He wanted to completely take over!
He wanted to be God!

It reminds me of today's politicians and the "New World Order"!

[14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
[15] Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
[16] They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying,
Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
These next two verses contain Satan's final sentence of judgment
pronounced by our Father.
It is the only one of its kind to this point in all of eternity!
Only Satan has been judged and sentenced to date.
Ezekiel 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
He sentenced Satan to die, to PERISH.
That's right, He sentenced one of his own children,
who he at one time was very fond and proud of, to eternal DEATH.
And so the beautiful, once high ranking Lucifer,
now the lowly fallen Satan,
will henceforth be called the "son of Perdition",
the one son of God (so far) who definitely WILL PERISH in the lake of fire!

Perish, i.e. Gone forever to be no more!
 You just read it!
See verse 18 above (... therefore I  bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes...)
So much for eternal torment!
Like frying people in a burning hell for ever and ever.
See verse 19 below (... never shalt thou be any more.

Ezekiel 28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
God did not carry out Satan's death sentence yet.
We'll read about why, later.

You can (and should) assume that you have
previously been mislead about Satan
and are or might be deceived.

Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Unfortunately, many preachers today, claiming to speak in Christ's name, don't speak of God or His Word the things that are right!
