My Note: Just a coincidence? I think not! Ref. Scripture
Just a coincidence? I think not!
Leviticus 26:18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
Complete text: Leviticus 26:14 ¶But
if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15 And if ye shall despise my statutes,
or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments,
but that ye break my covenant:
16 I also will do this unto you; I will
even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall
consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed
in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 And I will set my face against you,
and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign
over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
18 And if ye will not yet for all this
hearken unto me, then I will punish you
seven times more for your sins.
Ezekiel 4:6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
Complete text: Ezekiel 4:1 ¶Thou
also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray
upon it the city, even Jerusalem:
2 And lay siege against it, and build a
fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against
it, and set battering rams against it round about.
3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron
pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy
face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against
it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
4 Lie thou
also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon
it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it
thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5 For
I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number
of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the
iniquity of the house of Israel.
6 And when thou hast accomplished them,
lie again on thy right side, and thou
shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days:
I
have appointed thee each day for a year.
7 Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward
the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt
prophesy against it.
8 And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee,
and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended
the days of thy siege.
9 ¶Take thou also unto thee wheat,
and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them
in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of
the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days
shalt thou eat thereof.
10 And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall
be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it
11 Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of
an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
12 And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake
it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
13 And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel
eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
14 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted:
for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth
of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into
my mouth.
15 Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for
man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
16 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break
the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and
with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
17 That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with
another, and consume away for their iniquity.
Numbers 14:34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.
Complete text: Numbers 14:20
¶And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word:
21 But as truly as I live, all the earth
shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.
22 Because all those men which have seen
my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness,
and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;
23 Surely they shall not see the land which
I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me
see it:
24 But my servant Caleb, because he had
another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into
the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.
25 (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites
dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness
by the way of the Red sea.
26 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto
Aaron, saying,
27 How long shall I bear with this evil
congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the
children of Israel, which they murmur against me.
28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith
the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness;
and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from
twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me,
30 Doubtless ye shall not come into the
land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the
son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
31 But your little ones, which ye said
should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which
ye have despised.
32 But as for you, your carcases, they
shall fall in this wilderness.
33 And your children shall wander in the
wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be
wasted in the wilderness.
34 After the
number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each
day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye
shall know my breach of promise.
35 I the LORD have said, I will surely
do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against
me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
If as some people believe from reading Ezekiel 4:6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year. and Numbers 14:34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.
That 360 days being 360 years X 7 would = 2520 years
Therefore; Israel's punishment for seven times would = 2520 years
745
B.C. plus 2520 years = 1776 A.D.
The
year the United States Declaration of Independence was signed, i.e. end
of that tribes punishment.
721
B.C. plus 2520 years = 1801 A.D.
The
year Great Britain became a Commonwealth, i.e. end of that tribes punishment.
I don't know about you but this is an intriguing study for me.
One
thing I do know we can be sure of is, God has foretold us all things, therefore,
the answer is in your Bible!
Mark 13:23 But take
ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
Find
it if you care!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
