My Note: Created all things for His pleasure Ref. Scripture Revelations 4:11
God created all things for His own pleasure
Scripture: Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Complete text: Revelation 4:1 ¶After
this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first
voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which
said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit:
and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like
a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne,
in sight like unto an emerald.
4 And round about the throne were four
and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting,
clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings
and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning
before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there was a sea
of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about
the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion,
and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man,
and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 ¶And the four beasts had each of
them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest
not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was,
and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and
honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and
ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down
before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever
and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things, and for thy
pleasure they are and were created
What a wealth of end time knowledge is found in The Revelation of Jesus Christ to John and therefore, to us.
Revelation 1:1 ¶The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Revelation,
The
Book of Vision has been UNSEALED,
free
and open for the partaking and understanding by God's "servants".
Perhaps your preacher told
you it isn't necessary to read the Book of Revelation
because you aren't going
to be here when those awful events take place.
That's a great "cop out" because he knows he can't explain it anyway.
His eyes are closed and he cannot see.
Isaiah said it best:
Isaiah 29:10
For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
So, let's understand this. You take the Bible to one that is "learned", whom you will recognize as "learned" because of the title he carries, like PhD or Master of Divinity, and ask him to explain what candlesticks and stars represent in the Book of Revelation. And the "learned" says (as he lowers his glasses to the bulbous portion of his nose and peers ever so intellectually out over the frames), "My child, it is a mystery of God and it can be interpreted many different ways."[11] And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
He's clueless!
Next.
So you ask a lay member of the church, one who has attended at least 35 years or more, and he says "Beats me. You'll have to asked someone who is learned".[12] And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
Oh boy!
You're in trouble now.
What to do, what to do!
(Suddenly, you realize that you went to school and you know how to read yourself.)
Please log unto and read our Revelation pamphlets.
They'll show you how easy it is to understand if you went to school and can read!
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
