My Note: There are two qualifiers for flesh to be eaten Ref. Scripture Genesis 9:1-4
We are not to eat every type of animal any more than we are to eat poison ivy plants!
Scripture: Genesis 9:1
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and
multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you
and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every
fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the
fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
3
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even
as the green herb have I given you all things.
4
But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not
eat.
There are two qualifiers as to what animals we should eat: #1.It must be properly butchered! (verse 4) (But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.) and #2.Same rule as applies to the green herb; it must not be harmful to you. even as the green herb have I given you all things) (verse 3)
"Even as the green herb" means their are meats we should not eat, just as we would not eat poison ivy.
I believe
He explained that to us in Leviticus chapter 11 and Deuteronomy 14:3-21
Jesus Christ emphasizes In Matthew chapter 5 that the law is still in effect by stating that not even the least little letter (jot) nor the least little ornament (tittle) above a letter shall pass from that law, till all be fulfilled.
The "jot", or "yod" in Hebrew, is the smallest of the Hebrews letters (y) and is used 66,420 times in the manuscripts according the numbering of the Massorites. It is interesting to note that the "jot" is the 10th letter of the Hebrew alphabet and corresponds to "iota" which is the 8th letter in Greek alphabet. In Biblical numerics, 10 denotes "law" and "ordinal perfection", which is "another new first: after the ninth digit, when numeration commences anew" (see Companion Bible, appendix 10). The number "8" denotes resurrection, regeneration; a new beginning or commencement. And so it is that Jesus Christ is about to regenerate the law to a new level of spiritual understanding to those who love and serve Him and teachothers the truth of His Word.Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
[19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven
Read Isaiah 65:4, 66:3,17. This is end time prophesy. Chapters 64, 65 and 66 concerning Christ's return.
Isaiah 65:4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
Isaiah 66:3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.
Isaiah 66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
Here in verse 15 are the Lord's space ships again See #4155 "God's Space Ship" and ! #4063 The mountain was full of "Flying Saucers"
Isaiah 66:15 For, behold, the
LORD will come with fire,
and with his chariots like a whirlwind,
to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 For by fire and by his sword will
the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17 They
that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one
tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh,
and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the
LORD.
18 For I know their works and their
thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and
they shall come, and see my glory.
19 And I will set a sign among them,
and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish,
Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar
off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they
shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.
20 And they shall bring all your
brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses,
and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts,
to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel
bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21 And I will also take of them for
priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.
22 For as the new heavens and the
new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so
shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that
from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all
flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look
upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their
worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall
be an abhorring unto all flesh.
