"Tyranny at the Grocery Store"
You walk into a grocery store and a cashier meets you at the door.
The cashier says, "may I see your wallet, please?"
You think, this is strange behavior
but you comply.
The cashier then says, "you
have $300.00,
I'll hold $140.00 to cover your
purchases."
She gives you a receipt and you go about your shopping.
You only stopped in for some
necessities,
some meat, cereal, vegetables,
and milk.
While heading to the check out a
store clerk sees you
and
looks into your cart.
He says, "You
are not done shopping.
Here, let me help."
He places other items into your cart; many of them things you never use.
You say, "I don't want those items!"
He says, "You must take them."
You hurry to check out, saying to yourself,
"I've got to get out of here,
quick.
I'll never shop in this store
again!"
Your bill comes to $110.00.
$60.00 for the necessities you
picked up
and
$50.00 for the items you didn't
want.
You show the cashier your $140.00
receipt,
from store entry, and hold
out your hand for your change
but you don't get any.
When you ask why the cashier says,
"We'll keep the $30.00,
because tomorrow we're going
to deliver
some ice cream and candy to
your home."
You wouldn't stand for this treatment
from your grocer,
would you?
Then, why do you allow your government to do it to you?
Direct Taxation is tyranny!
