If it were not for Ezekiel's description of God's space ship in chapters 1 (pamphlet #8001) and 10 (pamphlet #8010) we would not know a spaceship is being referred to in 2 Kings chapter 2 which tells of Elijah being taken to heaven. At the very least I would probably not been smart enough to figure it out! Dare I mention? most ministers aren't either or at least they never spoke about it in my presence. How about you? Did you ever hear your pastor talk about any space ships being mentioned about in the Bible?
2 Kings 2:1 ¶And it came
to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah
into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went
with Elisha from Gilgal.
2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray
thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As
the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they
went down to Bethel.
3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel
came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will
take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it;
hold ye your peace.
4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here,
I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the
LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came
to Jericho.
5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho
came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take
away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it;
hold ye your peace.
6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee,
here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth,
and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
7 And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went,
and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan.
8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together,
and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that
they two went over on dry ground.
9 ¶And it came to pass, when they were gone
over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before
I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion
of thy spirit be upon me.
10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless,
if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but
if not, it shall not be so.
11 And it came to pass, as
they still went on, and talked, that, behold,
there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both
asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father,
my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw
him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two
pieces.
2 Kings 6:13 ¶And he said, Go and spy where
he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, Behold,
he is in Dothan.
14 Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots,
and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen
early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses
and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall
we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be
with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and
said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And
the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the
mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed
unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness.
And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
19 And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way,
neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom
ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.
20 And it came to pass, when they were come into
Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they
may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they
were in the midst of Samaria.
21 And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when
he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?
22 And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them:
wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and
with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink,
and go to their master.
23 And within the oracle he made two cherubims
of olive tree, each ten cubits high.
24 And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub,
and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of
the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.
25 And the other cherub was ten cubits: both the
cherubims were of one measure and one size.
26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits,
and so was it of the other cherub.
27 And he set the cherubims within the inner house:
and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of
the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched
the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the
house.
28 And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.
29 And he carved all the walls of the house round
about with carved figures of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers,
within and without.
30 And the floor of the house he overlaid with
gold, within and without.
31 And for the entering of the oracle he made doors
of olive tree: the lintel and side posts were a fifth part of the wall.
32 The two doors also were of olive tree; and he
carved upon them carvings of cherubims and palm trees and open flowers,
and overlaid them with gold, and spread gold upon the cherubims, and upon
the palm trees.
33 So also made he for the door of the temple posts
of olive tree, a fourth part of the wall.
34 And the two doors were of fir tree: the two
leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door
were folding.
35 And he carved thereon cherubims and palm trees
and open flowers: and covered them with gold fitted upon the carved work.
36 And he built the inner court with three rows
of hewed stone, and a row of cedar beams.
37 In the fourth year was the foundation of the
house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif:
38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul,
which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts
thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years
in building it.
How many of the following passages are also referring to space ships?
Job 38:1 ¶Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Job 40:6 ¶Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Isaiah 66:15 ¶For, behold, the
LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind,
to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead
with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves
in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and
the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it
shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall
come, and see my glory.
19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will
send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and
Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that
have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare
my glory among the Gentiles.
20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an
offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots,
and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain
Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering
in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
21 And I will also take of them for priests and
for Levites, saith the LORD.
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which
I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed
and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new
moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come
to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases
of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not
die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring
unto all flesh.
Jeremiah 4:5 ¶Declare ye in Judah, and publish
in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together,
and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.
6 Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay
not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the
destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place
to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without
an inhabitant.
8 For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and
howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.
9 And it shall come to pass at that day, saith
the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the
princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
10 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast
greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace;
whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul.
11 At that time shall it be said to this people
and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward
the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,
12 Even a full wind from those places shall come
unto me: now also will I give sentence against them.
13 Behold, he shall come
up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are
swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.
14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness,
that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within
thee?
15 For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth
affliction from mount Ephraim.
16 Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish
against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out
their voice against the cities of Judah.
17 As keepers of a field, are they against her
round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD.
18 Thy way and thy doings have procured these things
unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth
unto thine heart.
Jeremiah 23:9 ¶Mine heart within me is broken
because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and
like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of
the words of his holiness.
10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because
of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are
dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea,
in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.
12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery
ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I
will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the
LORD.
13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria;
they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.
14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem
an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen
also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness:
they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning
the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink
the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone
forth into all the land.
16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto
the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they
speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
17 They say still unto them that despise me, The
LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh
after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD,
and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard
it?
19 Behold, a whirlwind of
the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall
grievously upon the head of the wicked.
20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until
he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart:
in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran:
I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had
caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from
their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not
a God afar off?
24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I
shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith
the LORD.
25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy
lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets
that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
27 Which think to cause my people to forget my
name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their
fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell
a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What
is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.
29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD;
and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets,
saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the
LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.
32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false
dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by
their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded
them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 30:18 ¶Thus saith the LORD; Behold,
I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his
dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the
palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and
the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall
not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and
their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all
that oppress them.
21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and
their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him
to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged
his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD.
22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your
God.
23 Behold, the whirlwind
of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall
with pain upon the head of the wicked.
24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return,
until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart:
in the latter days ye shall consider it.
Daniel 11:21 ¶And in his estate shall stand
up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom:
but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown
from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
23 And after the league made with him he shall
work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a
small people.
24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest
places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not
done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and
spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong
holds, even for a time.
25 And he shall stir up his power and his courage
against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south
shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he
shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.
26 Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat
shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down
slain.
27 And both these kings' hearts shall be to do
mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper:
for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.
28 Then shall he return into his land with great
riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall
do exploits, and return to his own land.
29 At the time appointed he shall return, and come
toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.
30 For the ships of Chittim shall come against
him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against
the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence
with them that forsake the holy covenant.
31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall
pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice,
and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant
shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall
be strong, and do exploits.
33 And they that understand among the people shall
instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity,
and by spoil, many days.
34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen
with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
35 And some of them of understanding shall fall,
to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of
the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
36 And the king shall do according to his will;
and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall
speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till
the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers,
nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself
above all.
38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of
forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold,
and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with
a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he
shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
40 And at the time of the
end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north
shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen,
and
with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow
and pass over.
41 He shall enter also into the glorious land,
and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his
hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the
countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
43 But he shall have power over the treasures of
gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the
Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
44 But tidings out of the east and out of the north
shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy,
and utterly to make away many.
45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace
between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his
end, and none shall help him.
Zechariah 9:12 ¶Turn you to the strong hold,
ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double
unto thee;
13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow
with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece,
and made thee as the sword of a mighty man.
14 And the LORD shall be
seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the
Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.
15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they
shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make
a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the
corners of the altar.
16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that
day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown,
lifted up as an ensign upon his land.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great
is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the
maids.
Psalms 68:15 ¶The hill of God is as the hill
of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.
16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill
which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.
17 The chariots of God are
twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in
Sinai, in the holy place.
18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity
captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also,
that the LORD God might dwell among them.
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with
benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
20 He that is our God is the God of salvation;
and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.
21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies,
and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
Joel 2:1 ¶Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and
sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land
tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of
clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains:
a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither
shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them
a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind
them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of
horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
5 Like the noise of chariots
on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of
fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
6 Before their face the people shall be much pained:
all faces shall gather blackness.
7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb
the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and
they shall not break their ranks:
8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall
walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall
not be wounded.
9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall
run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter
in at the windows like a thief.
10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens
shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall
withdraw their shining:
11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his
army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word:
for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
