Pamphlet 1870 Rev. kc 30
We are getting awfully close to the 7th and final Trump!
"Ok, and we've studied hard, and now we'd like you to just flat out tell us who the two witnesses are!"
"Good grief, Charlie Brown, you don't want much, do you? If it was written I'd tell you."
"Well, do you think it's Enoch and Elijah?"
"Do I think? My Opinion? No, we saw Elijah appear on the mount of transfiguration in his transfigured body. We will soon learn that the two witnesses will be killed and their "corpses" will lie in an open arena. He'd have to be de-transfigured and enter into flesh again. I don't think so."
"Yes, but Malachi 4:5 says that God will send Elijah before Christ's return."
"Hmmmm. Is that in spirit or in person? He sent good old "locust eating" John the Baptist before the first advent in the spirit of Elijah. Luke 1:17 "And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
"Then based on that, do you think the two witnesses are here now, alive and well?"
"Figure it out for yourself. But if you ask me there are certainly enough clues. Here's three to get you started:
Clue #1: The two candlesticks are the churches of Philadelphia and Smyrna, easily identifiable by that which they teach. If you need to, go back and review Revelation chapters 2 and 3.
Clue #2: The two witnesses are not Biblically illiterate. You'll see in the next verse we read that they breath the fire of God's Word, so we know their fuel tanks are filled to capacity, just overflowing with oil (Hey, "sons of oil", I get it.).
Clue #3: Now read all of Zech. 4 and you'll find in verse 12 that these two anointed sons are diligently pumping oil. Got it? They are pumping oil!"
Now let's learn more about these two testifiers and about the power God said He'd give them back in verse 3 of chapter 11.
Here's verse 5.
Wow! Now that's some pretty awesome power, isn't it? Fire Breathing Saints! I've heard of Fire Breathing Dragons, but never this! Well, watch out 'cause here comes the FBS!Rev. 11:5
And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
Now I know there are some (way too many) that would read this verse and actually believe these witnesses have Oral Flame Throwing Capabilities. In other words they can just open their mouths when someone tries to harm them and ZAP!, they're enemy is instantly barbequed. "Well it says so right here in the Word of God", they would argue. And yes, Elijah did call fire down from heaven (not out of his mouth) and consume men.
But I would hope that after we've come this far in the Book of Revelation, that although you can vividly SEE the PICTURE, which you should, that you know what the "fire" is that comes out of their mouths. The fire comes directly from the altar of God, remember? It comes directly from the One who is a "consuming fire".Hebrews 12:29 reads "For our God is a consuming fire."2 Kings 1:10
And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
However, for those who still doubt or don't quite "get it", here is the LORD God of host's own words concerning the fire that proceeds forth out of the mouth of His servants (not some man's lame brain idea).
Jeremiah 5:14
Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.
How do you get that?
You Eat the little book!
Now you also know why our Father calls His ministers "a flame of fire". They are of Him.
Let's return to the two witnesses.Hebrews 1:7
And of the angels He saith, Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.
"Sounds to me like we're reading about Moses and his brother Aaron in Egypt. Will the two witnesses have power over nature like Moses to bring plagues and turn waters to blood?"Rev. 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
"If that's what it takes, yes, of course.
If you'll peek ahead two verses you will see that the two witnesses are going to "Spiritual Egypt". Simply, positively, amazing, isn't it? And we already documented in previous studies that waters are the peoples of the earth: Rev. 17:15 "And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." And so when the waters (peoples) are smitten with the Word of God, those souls who turn away bleed pretty bad and they could die, couldn't they?
Notice also that the two witnesses exercise their power "as often as they will". Like anytime they want? Zap 'em here, zap 'em there? No, you could actually read this "as often as He will". Why? Because you can be absolutely positive that their will is His will, i.e. their will is do their Father's will, as He will have them do!
Boy is old Satan going to be snorting fire after these two "trouble makers" expose him as a fraud. In his uncontrollable rage he's going to break God's command which we read in chapter 9 verse 4, that he is not permitted to touch those with the seal of God in their foreheads. He more than touches them, he murders them![7] And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
We'll document that the beast who ascends out of the bottomless pit is Satan himself when we get to Rev. 17:8. It's a "no brainer".
The great city is "Spiritually" called Egypt and Sodom. But it says their bodies will lie in the city where Christ was crucified, and that would be in Jerusalem. Now, what comes to your mind when you think of Sodom and Egypt? "Vice" in Sodom and Gomorrah and "Tyranny" in Egypt! Yes, that about describes the crowd who has taken over the Temple in the Holy City and what's going on there.[8] And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
"Dead bodies" in the Greek means "corpses". The corpses of the two witnesses will lie in the "open square" in Jerusalem (look up street in Strong's) . This documents that the two witnesses are not two churches but two human beings.
The cameras of CNN, MSNBC, etc. will broadcast this affair live for 3 1/2 days. Why? Satan wants to prove to the world that these two cannot overcome death. He remembers well what happen to the body of Christ. But this time nobody is going to make a martyr out of these two by stealing the bodies and claiming they are alive. Satan's going to try to prove they are frauds.[9] And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
The servants of God! Murdered in Jerusalem! The holy temple is defiled! There is none to bury them! And the prophet David, who wrote the 22nd Psalm of Christ's death, wrote the 79th Psalm of His servants deaths:
But what a celebration there will be! The two trouble makers who caused such anguish to those who follow the one sitting in the temple claiming to be Jesus, are dead!Psalm 79:1
O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps. [2] The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth. [3] Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
I remember the last time I read about a big bash with merry making going on around the temple. It was in Daniel chapter 5 when Belshazzar saw the handwriting on the wall which said "Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin", which interpreted means "Numbered, Numbered, Weighed, It's Over Pal (Divided)".Rev. 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
Well, their days are certainly numbered when you see this party going on. Number 3 1/2 days and guaranteed, the party will be all over! Jesus Christ is going to CRASH this bash. That "stone cut out without hands", our Rock, is going to smash the whole thing.
What a time that will be!
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
