Pamphlet 1813 Malachi kc 4-3
And those treacherous priests (calling themselves Christian ministers), the false prophets Christ warned of us who bring those blind and lame and blemished spotted sacrifices to the LORD of hosts, shall also be cut off. Here are some details of that "cutting off":
Those virgins who remain faithful to the covenant, to His Word, shall enter the kingdom. Those Christians (unfortunately the majority) who have strayed from Him (His Word) and have been "unfaithful", i.e. dealt treacherously, shall NOT enter the kingdom.Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Were all those things listed above contained in the covenant God made with Levi, or was it to keep knowledge upon their lips and teach His laws and commands, His Holy Word, and to educate His people that they might come to KNOW HIM through His Word and glorify His name (even His authority)?[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
I know it offends some, but we make no apology for teaching His Word as it is written. You see, you will never find a preacher stand up and say, "Hey, I'm a false prophet... one of those MANY Christ spoke of!" No, of course not! The vast majority think that what they do is GOOD and pleasing to Him and what God wants them to do! And you know... false prophets are such nice friendly people and many are even well meaning, but that is NO EXCUSE for one who comes in His name to "deal treacherously" and not know His Word and speak with His voice! Shame on them for teaching iniquity instead of His Word for they shall lead many of God's children to fall and worship before the false-christ!
As it is written, so shall it be and they shall be cut off who work iniquity! Take heed unto yourselves![23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
