Pamphlet 1664 Nahum kc 3-3

Oh what a joyous and Happy Day that will be!

Nahum 1:12
Thus saith the LORD: Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through.

Note: The chapters and verses in the original manuscripts were not divided and labeled as we find in today's Bibles. The change of subject in the middle of verse 12 is simply an example of man's error in rightly dividing the Word and words. The Companion Bible on page 1263 will show the structure of these verses to document the changes in subject. It is really not very difficult to see at all when you understand the simple fact that the "vengeance" is upon His enemies and the "comfort" is upon His children.

To His children (comforting words):

Nahum 1:12 (cont...) Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
It is written that the Assyrian, the type of false-christ, is sent as a rod of His correction against His people. Remember the Book of Micah? It happens at the 6th Trump when Satan and his angels are cast from heaven to this earth in Rev. 12:7-9. But his time has been shortened and he will soon be bound and his evil empire utterly destroyed.
[13] For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
The yoke is the yoke of bondage of the New World Order and that wicked counsellor, Satan, thespurious messiah. This verse also documents that the wrath of God, His fury, His "vengeance", is not directed toward His people. He is going to free them from their enemies and their oppressors who have taken them captive. This is comforting to know!

We now return to the destruction of "Nineveh" and the pronouncement of God's commandment, His sentence upon that wicked system and the "vile person" who heads it.

Nahum 1:14
And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
The one who is "vile" is the "vile person" spoken of by Daniel the prophet in Daniel 11:21, "And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries." Yes, while they are all "quiet" and the "many" believe the lie that the "vile person" is Jesus Christ, then shall the true Messiah return and BRING THE HOUSE DOWN, that house of false gods.

AND BEHOLD! THE GOOD (COMFORTING) NEWS FOLLOWS!

[15] Behold upon the mountains the feet of Him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
Good riddens!

The prophet Isaiah declares the same beautiful, comforting, joyous good news following that "day of vengeance" that Nahum just declared. Here it is:

Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
Oh what a joyous and Happy Day that will be! The present patient waiting of the "How long, O Lord..." of Revelation 6:10 will be over! It will be a time of great rejoicing and a time to sing for joy!
[8] Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
The "watchmen" shall be singing the Song of Moses which is the 32 chapter of Deuteronomy. Rev. 15 gives us the documentation and even repeats the subject of the first few verses of Deut. 32.
Rev. 15:3
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints."
That is exactly what the Song of Moses reads:
Deut. 32:3
Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

[4] He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Yes, the sweet justice from the All Powerful Hand of Almighty God (El-kosh) when He lays waste the seat of that wicked one, the abomination of desolation, who shall stand in the holy place claiming to be Jesus Christ will be joyful indeed! Remember in Mat. 24 and Mark 13 that the Lord said to His disciples that there would not be one stone left standing atop another when He returns to the temple mount in Jerusalem. It shall become be a "wasted place" and then shall His kingdom be established in its stead forever and ever.
Isaiah 52:9
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.

[10] The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

"Every eye shall see Him" when He returns (Rev. 1:7) and "every knee shall bow" (Rom. 14:11) to the King of kings and Lord of lords.

And you know what? We can "break forth into joy" now, for it SHALL HAPPEN exactly as it is written in the Word of God!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
