Well Capital Hill sure became (spiritually)
desolate in the 1990s,
during the most prosperous decade
in history, didn't it?
(Editor's Note: It isn't much better today! Just different forms of
corruption!)
Satan is death (Heb. 2:14).
That is why he is called the son of perdition, the son
who will perish.
The wise know that God will redeem
His people Israel from "death",
but for most of them it will
be only after they have bowed their knees to Baal (death),
i.e. worshipped the false
messiah as Jesus.
Yes, He has determined to pour out His cup of wrath and
that is how it shall be!
There shall be no other way!
"Repentance shall be hid from my
eyes"
simply means God will not change
His mind or His plan
and it shall happen EXACTLY as
it is written in this Word.
And here is how it will happen:
Hosea
13:15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come,
the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring
shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the
treasure of all pleasant vessels.
The "he" who is fruitful is
Ephraim,
the largest of the 10 tribes put
forth to represent those people today
who live in the land God has so
blessed with "amber waves of grain" all across "the fruited plain".
And it shall be during America's
fruitful, prosperous times that an "east wind" shall come,
which is the wind from the desert
east of Palestine which brings no good thing, for it is a "desert storm*".

Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they
shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their
women with child shall be ripped up.
Remember Samaria, which means
"watch mountain",
the capital hill of the northern
10 tribes of the House of Israel.
Well Capital Hill today (Washington)
sure became (spiritually) desolate during the most prosperous decade in
history, the 1990s, didn't it?
Deut. 32:5 "They have corrupted
themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children:
they are a perverse and crooked
generation."
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
