It is a fact that "We the People" of The United States of America, the leader of the free Christian nations of the world, have true to prophecy become a nation of Biblical illiterates. The great spiritual "famine" of the end time prophesied by Jesus Christ and recorded in Amos 8:11-13, has come to pass! Yes, the house of Israel has cast off the knowledge of His word, His truth, and today they have gone one step further and even cast off the knowledge of their own heritage. In other words, the majority of those who are of the House of Israel do not even know who they are, that they are of the house of Israel (not Judah). They believe that they are as the other nations, i.e. that they are gentiles. Well, the sand ran out of the hour glass in the days of Hosea, and we are now running out of the sands of time in this generation of the fig tree! So, Blow ye the Trumpet! For as it is written in Hosea 7:12, "... I will chastise them", saith the LORD God. Do not be deceived, the "Assyrian" will soon be swiftly upon us!The American Wisdom Series

Hosea 8:3
Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
They set up kings, but not by His counsel, i.e. they have set up kings who do not serve God according to His Word. Instead, they have set up civil and religious leaders who do not know His Word and who place idols before the people, thereby cutting them off from His blessings. Again, there is nothing new under the sun. Not only do our ministers and preachers set up idols and a false sense of security with their traditions of men and their rapture theories which promise our people they will not face the "Assyrian", but our civil leaders today, who seldom even give lip service to God or His Word, set up false security through their entitlement programs and other "systems" while at the same time declaring an era of peace, peace.[4] They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
You should know the story of the golden calves of Samaria and how Jeroboam set up the altars and the calves so that the people could worship God without going to Jerusalem as God commanded. Here is the narrative from 1 Kings 12:25-32:[5] Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
It all looked so religious but it was a bunch of "Bull" and it was sinful indeed as far as the Word of God is concerned. The lesson to be learned here is that you had better be able to discern what the "golden calves" of modern Christianity are and not let "idols" of any sort, whether they be money or possessions or the traditions "made by men", cause you to stray from the Word of God and from keeping His commands, i.e. His Word. The question asked in the last half of Hosea 8:5 is, "How long will it take before our people are no longer guilty of such adultery (idolatry)", i.e. until they are innocent? Unfortunately for most of God's children, it will not be until all the sand runs out of hour glass in this flesh age.Then Jeroboam built Shechem in mount Ephraim, and dwelt therein; and went out from thence, and built Penuel. [26] And Jeroboam said in his heart, Now shall the kingdom return to the house of David: [27] If this people go up to do sacrifice in the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, then shall the heart of this people turn again unto their lord, even unto Rehoboam king of Judah, and they shall kill me, and go again to Rehoboam king of Judah. [28] Whereupon the king took counsel, and made two calves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. [29] And he set the one in Bethel, and the other put he in Dan. [30] And this thing became a sin: for the people went to worship before the one, even unto Dan. [31] And he made an house of high places, and made priests of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi. [32] And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.
The golden calves of Samaria, which means "watch mountain" where the watchman are supposed to be on guard, were made by and set up by men CONTRARY to the Word of God, just as the traditions of men, the system of worshipping God set forth in substitute for studying and keeping His Word, are concocted and set up by men. Remember what happened to the calf when Moses returned from the mountain of God in Exodus 32:19-24? Well, the modern day "calves" of Churchianity SHALL likewise be destroyed at the return of Yeshua.Hosea 8:6
For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
In summary, "Make sure you seek the Lord and study His Word so that the Truth dwells in you!" Otherwise, as it is written, you are full of "Bull"!
