Do you know what an "easy" woman is?
How about a "slut"?

You do!
Then you also know what a "whore" is?
Good,
then you understand some Bible terminology other than salvation and baptism
and are now ready to read God's words concerning the worship practices
of those who know not His Word and keep the traditions of men.

Ezekiel 23:1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

[2] Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:

These two sisters represent the House of Israel
and the House of Judah which both came from one "mother",
even mother Eve through
whom Sarah and Rebecca would come and bring forth Jacob,
whose name was changed to Israel.
[3] And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.
No, you are not reading the Starr Report.

This is the Word of God
and this is a serious matter because it has to do with religious worship.

These two young girls became prostitutes at a real early age, i.e.
while they were the young nations of Israel (who they represent)
and dwelt in the land of Egypt.

[4] And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.
These little harlots belong to God!
They were unfaithful and shameless in their harlotry
and they sure didn't please our Father.

Here are the meanings of their names:

'Oholah, o-hol-aw', Hebrew 170; in form a feminine of Hebrew 168 ('ohel), but in fact for 'Oholahh, o-hol-aw'; from Hebrew 168 ('ohel); her tent (i.e. idolatrous sanctuary); Oholah, a symbolical name for Samaria :- Aholah.
It would be Jeroboam,
the first king of the 10 northern tribes of Israel (Aholah)
who would set up the golden calves creating the idolatrous sanctuary,
her own tent (tabernacle),
instead of keeping the worship given to Israel
by God
in the tabernacle of the wilderness.
'Oholiybah, o''-hol-ee-baw';(similarly with Hebrew 170 ('Oholah)) for 'Oholiybahh, o''-hol-e-baw'; from Hebrew 168 ('ohel); my tent (is) in her; Oholibah, a symbolical name for Judah :- Aholibah., Hebrew 172;
"Oh-holy-bah-humbug" is more like it.
Nevertheless,
it would be through Judah
that Messiah would be born and tabernacle with men.

In verse four we read that these two girls belonged to God.
He repeats that fact for emphasis in the next verse concerning Aholah,
the first to play the harlot.

Ezekiel 23:5 And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbours,
The word "doted" means she "breathed after" her lovers in a sensual manner.
She was a lustful little nymphomaniac.
She just couldn't find enough ways to be religious and worshipful.

Do you know the type?

[6] Which were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.
She threw herself at these powerful studs,
these gorgeous hunks,
who were all dressed up in their decorative military uniforms.

In other words,
if it looked good she'd take it in her bed with her.

Who cares what God's Word says about it.

[7] Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their idols she defiled herself.
It is the fact that Israel defiled herself with the idols
and the religious practices of Assyria and the other nations
round about that CONSTITUTES THE WHOREDOM.

Her defilement was RELIGION, not sex!
This is about Idolatry, not Adultery,
for the former is FAR WORSE because it is of the spirit
and can cause the death of the soul!

Here is what Aholah did:

Judges 10:6 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.
Ashtareth is the love goddess Astarte,
the modern name of which is Easter.

God doesn't like it.

1 Kings 11:33 Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.

Ezekiel 23:8 Neither left she her whoredoms brought from Egypt: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her.

Gimme, Gimme that Old Time Religion!
[9] Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.
Hey, if God's children want to mess around with other religions,
by adopting their practices and naming them Christian...
they'll get what they asked for and suffer the consequences.

What about this generation who hasn't taken the heed [warning] of Christ (Mk. 13, Mat. 24)
and who has been deceived by those who come in the name of Christ
teaching traditions about snakes and apples
and telling people to show up at sunrise*
on Easter and face the rising sun**,
and then go eat the traditional abominable swine's flesh (ham) dinner
to cap off a perfectly idolatrous day.

And then perhaps discuss the lie
that they are going to fly away in some rapture of the church
and avoid the coming sword of the king of Babylon?

Haven't they ever studied the Book of Ezekiel?

If they want to play church and believe lies,
God will send them what they asked for.

The Assyrian is coming to this generation!
And the people will believe he is actually the Bridegroom
and they will jump in bed with him just like their ancestors did!

The fact is it will be Satan.
The lie is that he is Jesus who has come to rapture them away.

2 Thes. 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
* Jesus did not rise at sunrise.
was crucified on Wednesday and taken down from the cross
and placed in the tomb before sunset which began Thursday,
the First Day of Unleavened Bread.
(See appendix 156 & 165 in the Companion Bible.)
The SIGN of 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth
(just like Jonah was in the belly of the great fish)
brings you to Saturday night.

(Wednesday sunset to Thursday sunset is the 1st day and night, etc.)

So sometime during the night following Saturday sunset,
which would actually be Sunday,
He rose,
because when Mary Magdalene arrived at the tomb it was still DARK
and He was GONE already!
The sun had not come up yet!

John 20:1 The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.
Note: It takes very little effort and does not require great scholarship
to document from scripture when Christ was crucified.

So how come the churches teach He was crucified on Good Friday
and rose on Easter Sunday morning at sunrise?

How do you get 3 days and 3 nights out of that?
You DON'T!
Again, any good encyclopedia can document the adoption of these holidays
(not Holy Days)
into Christianity by the churches.

** Go ahead,
show up on Easter for sunrise services after the tradition of the church
(because there is no scriptural documentation for it,
though there be some against it).

Bring these scriptures with you and ask your preacher
why this day is named after a pagan sex goddess
and why the LORD calls this sunrise practice by God's people an ABOMINATION!

Someone has to start holding preachers,
teachers and politicians accountable.

Ezekiel 8:15 Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
The following is an abomination.
[16] And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
Most of us have participated in these practices
when we were ignorant of God's Word.

But if a person abides by His commands
and grows in the grace and the knowledge of His Word
and becomes a mature Christian,
then he or she will cease from turning from our Father
and embracing Assyrian idolatry.
The question from chapter 20 stills stands:

Ezekiel 20:30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?
Read the scriptures and even the secular history books
about how our fathers gave us the polluted practices we see in many churches today!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
