"Never Shalt Thou Be Any More"

Rev. 20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened:
and another book was opened, which is the book of life:
and the dead were judged out of those things
which were written in the books,
according to their works.

Hint: the book to be in is the "book of life".
The judgment from this book includes lots of rewards.
Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep
in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life,
and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Yep, there are those whose names are written in the wrong book.

"Them that sleep in the dust of the earth"
is an expression
meaning those who have already died in the flesh.
We know from reading Rev. 20:12, Eccl. 12:6-7 and 2 Cor. 5:8-10
that even though you are dead in the flesh you are still alive in the spirit.

We know from the Parable of Lazarus and the Rich Man in Luke 16
that there is a "gulf" or "division" in heaven
and those who have not overcome await there.

Eccl. 12:6-7 also makes it quite clear that when we die
(no matter which book we are written in)
our flesh, which is dust,
returns to the earth
and we return to our Father.

Eccles. 12:6-7
Or ever the silver cord be loosed,
or the golden bowl be broken,
or the pitcher be broken at the fountain,
or the wheel broken at the cistern.
[7] Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:
and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Paul taught the same thing in the New Testament.
To be absent from the flesh body is to be present with the Lord.
2 Cor. 5:8-10
We are confident,
I say,
and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.
[9] Wherefore we labour,
that, whether present or absent,
we may be accepted of him.
[10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad.
So at the seventh trump,
which is the first resurrection,
we see that some make it and some don't.

Hopefully many more will "make it" during the millennium,
the thousand year reign of Christ
preceding the Great White Throne judgment. (see Rev 20)

What is the Millennium?
Think of it as one thousand years of summer school,
between this Flesh age and the Great White Throne judgment,
 for those of us who didn't accept Christ during this flesh age.

Everyone who ever lived on earth,
all of us at the same time,
will live through the Millennium in the spirit with spirit bodies.

All of us who were saved during the earth age will receive eternal life,
the first resurrection,
FROM DEATH TO IMMORTALITY,
before the Millennium
and will be leaders and instructors during the Millennium.
(Not to be confused with the resurrection from the flesh body to the spiritual body which happens to all of us at Christ's return)

Going into the Millennium all of us
will have benefit from having experienced the finality of the death of our flesh bodies.

We will be able to associate this experience
with the future death of our soul
if we choose not to turn to Christ.

Satan won't be present until the very end of the Millennium
when he will be loosed for a little while.

A final test, so to speak,
just prior to the Great White Throne judgment.

Those who pass the test and remain faithful to Christ
will then receive eternal life,
the second resurrection,
FROM DEATH TO IMMORTALITY,

Those who choose to again follow Satan,
when he is released for a little while,
will receive the same sentence as he.

Which is!!
Ezekiel 28:18-19 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries
by the multitude of thine iniquities,
by the iniquity of thy traffick;
therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee,
it shall devour thee,
and
I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth
in the sight of all them that behold thee.

[19] All they that know thee among the people
shall be astonished at thee:
thou shalt be a terror,
and never shalt thou be any more.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

If you are not part of the first resurrection,
at the end of this earth age,
and/or don't become part of the second resurrection,
at the end of the Millennium,
your fate is to be consumed and be no more!
