The latter days
14 End Time Expressions (4:1)
Timothy 4:1 ¶Now the Spirit speaketh expressly,
that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed
to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1. Latter days - Last years ending this age and before
the millennium
1 Timothy 4:1 ¶Now the Spirit speaketh expressly,
that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving
heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared
with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats,
which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe
and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused,
if it be received with thanksgiving:
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer
Ezekiel 39:1 ¶Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against
Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog,
the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of
thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring
thee upon the mountains of Israel:
3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause
thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all
thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the
ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it,
saith the Lord GOD.
6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell
carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people
Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the
heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
8 ¶Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD;
this is the day whereof I have spoken.
9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth,
and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers,
the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall
burn them with fire seven years:
10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither
cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire:
and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed
them, saith the Lord GOD.
11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto
Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on
the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and
there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it
The valley of Hamongog.
12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them,
that they may cleanse the land.
13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall
be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.
14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing
through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the
face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they
search.
15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth
a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have
buried it in the valley of Hamongog.
16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall
they cleanse the land.
17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto
every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves,
and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice
for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may
eat flesh, and drink blood.
18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood
of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks,
all of them fatlings of Bashan.
19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till
ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots,
with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.
21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen
shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid
upon them.
22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their
God from that day and forward.
23 ¶And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel
went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against
me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their
enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions
have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again
the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel,
and will be jealous for my holy name;
26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses
whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their
land, and none made them afraid.
27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered
them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight
of many nations;
28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused
them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them
unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have
poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
Deuteronomy 4:1 ¶Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the
statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that
ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your
fathers giveth you.
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither
shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the
LORD your God which I command you.
3 Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baalpeor:
for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed
them from among you.
4 But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every
one of you this day.
5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the
LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go
to possess it.
6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your
understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes,
and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto
them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?
8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments
so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest
thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart
from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy
sons' sons;
10 Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God
in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and
I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the
days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their
children.
11 And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain
burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick
darkness.
12 And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire:
ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a
voice.
13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded
you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables
of stone.
14 And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes
and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go over to
possess it.
15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no
manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out
of the midst of the fire:
16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the
similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness
of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the
likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou
seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven,
shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy
God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
20 But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of
the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance,
as ye are this day.
21 Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and
sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto
that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:
22 But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but
ye shall go over, and possess that good land.
23 Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of
the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image,
or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
25 When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and
ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves,
and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil
in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:
26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that
ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan
to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly
be destroyed.
27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall
be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood
and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou
shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
Deuteronomy 4:30 When thou art in tribulation, and all
these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou
turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
31 (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake
thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which
he sware unto them.
32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee,
since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one
side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as
this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
33 Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the
midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and live?
34 Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst
of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war,
and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors,
according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your
eyes?
35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the
LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.
36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might
instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest
his words out of the midst of the fire.
37 And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their
seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power
out of Egypt;
38 To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier
than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance,
as it is this day.
39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that
the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is
none else.
40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments,
which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with
thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the
earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.
Deuteronomy 31:22 ¶Moses therefore wrote this song the same
day, and taught it the children of Israel.
23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong
and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into
the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.
24 And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing
the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the
covenant of the LORD, saying,
26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark
of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness
against thee.
27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while
I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD;
and how much more after my death?
28 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers,
that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to
record against them.
Deuteronomy 31:29 For I know that after my death ye will
utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded
you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will
do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger through the work
of your hands.
30 And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel
the words of this song, until they were ended.
Jeremiah 23:9 ¶Mine heart within me is broken because of
the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man
whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words
of his holiness.
10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing
the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up,
and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house
have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.
12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in
the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring
evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied
in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.
14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible
thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the
hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are
all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets;
Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of
gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into
all the land.
16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of
the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision
of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said,
Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the
imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived
and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?
19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even
a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
Jeremiah 23:20 The anger of the LORD shall not return,
until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his
heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken
to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people
to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way,
and from the evil of their doings.
23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?
24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see
him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in
my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy
lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their
dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have
forgotten my name for Baal.
28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he
that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff
to the wheat? saith the LORD.
29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a
hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD,
that steal my words every one from his neighbour.
31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use
their tongues, and say, He saith.
32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith
the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and
by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore
they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 30:18 ¶Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring
again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces;
and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain
after the manner thereof.
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of
them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few;
I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation
shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor
shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near,
and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to
approach unto me? saith the LORD.
22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a
continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
Jeremiah 30:24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not
return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents
of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
Jeremiah 48:14 ¶How say ye, We are mighty and strong men
for the war?
15 Moab is spoiled, and gone up out of her cities, and his chosen
young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is
the LORD of hosts.
16 The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth
fast.
17 All ye that are about him, bemoan him; and all ye that know
his name, say, How is the strong staff broken, and the beautiful rod!
18 Thou daughter that dost inhabit Dibon, come down from thy
glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab shall come upon thee,
and he shall destroy thy strong holds.
19 O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and espy; ask him
that fleeth, and her that escapeth, and say, What is done?
20 Moab is confounded; for it is broken down: howl and cry; tell
ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled,
21 And judgment is come upon the plain country; upon Holon, and
upon Jahazah, and upon Mephaath,
22 And upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Bethdiblathaim,
23 And upon Kiriathaim, and upon Bethgamul, and upon Bethmeon,
24 And upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities
of the land of Moab, far or near.
25 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith
the LORD.
26 Make ye him drunken: for he magnified himself against the
LORD: Moab also shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
27 For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among
thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.
28 O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the
rock, and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the hole's
mouth.
29 We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his
loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his
heart.
30 I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so;
his lies shall not so effect it.
31 Therefore will I howl for Moab, and I will cry out for all
Moab; mine heart shall mourn for the men of Kirheres.
32 O vine of Sibmah, I will weep for thee with the weeping of
Jazer: thy plants are gone over the sea, they reach even to the sea of
Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage.
33 And joy and gladness is taken from the plentiful field, and
from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to fail from the winepresses:
none shall tread with shouting; their shouting shall be no shouting.
34 From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz,
have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer
of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
35 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him
that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his gods.
36 Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab like pipes, and
mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of Kirheres: because the
riches that he hath gotten are perished.
37 For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped: upon
all the hands shall be cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
38 There shall be lamentation generally upon all the housetops
of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel
wherein is no pleasure, saith the LORD.
39 They shall howl, saying, How is it broken down! how hath Moab
turned the back with shame! so shall Moab be a derision and a dismaying
to all them about him.
40 For thus saith the LORD; Behold, he shall fly as an eagle,
and shall spread his wings over Moab.
41 Kerioth is taken, and the strong holds are surprised, and
the mighty men's hearts in Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a
woman in her pangs.
42 And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he
hath magnified himself against the LORD.
43 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant
of Moab, saith the LORD.
44 He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and
he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will
bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the
LORD.
45 They that fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of
the force: but a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from
the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown
of the head of the tumultuous ones.
46 Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth:
for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.
Jeremiah 48:47 Yet will I bring again the captivity of
Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment
of Moab.
Jeremiah 49:34 ¶The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah
the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king
of Judah, saying,
35 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow
of Elam, the chief of their might.
36 And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters
of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall
be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.
37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies,
and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them,
even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them,
till I have consumed them:
38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence
the king and the princes, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 49:39 But it shall come to pass in the latter
days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD.
Daniel 2:24 ¶Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the
king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said
thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before
the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.
25 Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and
said thus unto him, I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will
make known unto the king the interpretation.
26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar,
Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the
interpretation thereof?
27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The
secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers,
the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;
Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth
secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in
the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed,
are these;
29 As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon
thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets
maketh known to thee what shall come to pass
30 But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom
that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known
the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts
of thy heart.
Daniel 10:10 ¶And, behold, an hand touched me, which set
me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand
the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I
now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first
day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself
before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and
twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me;
and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
Daniel 10:14 Now I am come to make thee understand what
shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is
for many days.
16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched
my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood
before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and
I have retained no strength.
17 For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my
lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither
is there breath left in me.
18 Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance
of a man, and he strengthened me,
19 And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee,
be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened,
and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
20 Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and
now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone
forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come.
21 But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture
of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael
your prince.
Hosea 3:1 ¶Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman
beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the
LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons
of wine.
2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for
an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou
shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will
I also be for thee.
4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a
king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image,
and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
Hosea 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return,
and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD
and his goodness in the latter days.
Daniel 8:1 ¶In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar
a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared
unto me at the first.
2 And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that
I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I
saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.
3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood
before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high;
but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.
4 I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward;
so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could
deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the
west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the
goat had a notable horn between his eyes.
6 And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen
standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.
7 And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with
choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there
was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the
ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the
ram out of his hand.
8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong,
the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward
the four winds of heaven.
9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed
exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the
pleasant land.
10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast
down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon
them.
11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host,
and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary
was cast down.
12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason
of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised,
and prospered.
13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto
that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning
the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both
the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days;
then shall the sanctuary be cleansed
Daniel 8:15 ¶And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel,
had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood
before me as the appearance of a man.
16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which
called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid,
and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for
at the time of the end shall be the vision.
18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my
face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.
Daniel 8:19 And he said, Behold, I will make thee know
what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time
appointed the end shall be.
20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of
Media and Persia.
21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn
that is between his eyes is the first king.
22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four
kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors
are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark
sentences, shall stand up.
24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and
he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall
destroy the mighty and the holy people.
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper
in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall
destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but
he shall be broken without hand.
26 And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told
is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.
2 Timothy 3:1 ¶This know also, that in the last
days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent,
fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than
lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead
captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the
truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also
resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be
manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
James 5:1 ¶Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your
miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
James 5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust
of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it
were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your
fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them
which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye
have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6 Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist
you.
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and
hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of
the Lord draweth nigh.
9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned:
behold, the judge standeth before the door.
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name
of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of
the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is
very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
2 Peter 3:1 ¶This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto
you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken
before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles
of the Lord and Saviour:
2 Peter 3:3 ¶Knowing this first, that there shall
come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the
fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning
of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of
God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and
in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water,
perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word
are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition
of ungodly men.
Jude 1:1 ¶Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother
of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved
in Jesus Christ, and called:
2 Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.
3 ¶Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you
of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort
you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered
unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before
of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of
our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord
Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew
this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt,
afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left
their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness
unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like
manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange
flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal
fire.
8 ¶Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh,
despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he
disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing
accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not:
but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt
themselves.
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and
ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the
gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast
with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water,
carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice
dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering
stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these,
saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 ¶To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that
are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly
committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken
against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own
lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons
in admiration because of advantage.
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before
of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jude 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers
in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not
the Spirit.
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy
faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating
even the garment spotted by the flesh.
24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to
present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion
and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Not seven years prior to his
return! For before he returns, Satan comes and sits in the church claiming
to be Christ. So if you think Christ has come to rapture you away ---it
ain't Christ, it's the devil! You've been had!
2 Thessalonians
2:1 ¶Now we beseech you, brethren,
by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto
him 2
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit,
nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at
hand. 3
¶Let
no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there
come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of
perdition; 4
Who
opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself
that he is God.
See pamphlet #5149
So we now know from irrefutable Biblical documentation that the son of
perdition is coming FIRST, before the real Jesus Christ returns
and we gather back to Him.
John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent
me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should
raise it up again at the last day.
John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that
every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting
life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread
which came down from heaven.
42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose
father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from
heaven?
43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among
yourselves.
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which
hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught
of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father,
cometh unto me.
46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of
God, he hath seen the Father.
47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath
everlasting life.
48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man
may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any
man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will
give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
52 The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can
this man give us his flesh to eat?
53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have
no life in you.
John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood,
hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in
me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father:
so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your
fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall
live for ever.
59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
60 ¶Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard
this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at
it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he
was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew
from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray
him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come
unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked
no more with him.
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go?
thou hast the words of eternal life.
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the
Son of the living God.
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one
of you is a devil?
71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was
that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
John 11:17 ¶Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain
in the grave four days already.
18 Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs
off:
19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them
concerning their brother.
20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went
and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here,
my brother had not died.
22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God,
God will give it thee.
23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall
rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
Believest thou this?
27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the
Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary
her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.
Acts 2:14 ¶But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted
up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell
at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet
Joel;
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,
I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters
shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men
shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out
in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the
earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into
blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on
the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man
approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God
did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge
of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death:
because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25 For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always
before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover
also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt
thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make
me full of joy with thy countenance.
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch
David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto
this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn
with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh,
he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ,
that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having
received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth
this, which ye now see and hear.
34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself,
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that
God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one
of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall
receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to
all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying,
Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and
the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42 ¶And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine
and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs
were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all
men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple,
and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness
and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the
Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Hebrews 1:1 ¶God, who at sundry times and in divers manners
spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom
he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image
of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when
he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty
on high
4 ¶Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath
by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art
my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father,
and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world,
he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits,
and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and
ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore
God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy
fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation
of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall
wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be
changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my
right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister
for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
1 Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation
of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the
dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through
the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another
with a pure heart fervently:
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,
by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 ¶For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man
as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth
away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the
word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
1 John 2:1 ¶My little children, these things write I unto
you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the
Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only,
but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 ¶And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his
commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments,
is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God
perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also
so to walk, even as he walked.
7 ¶Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an
old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is
the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true
in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now
shineth.
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is
in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there
is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh
in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath
blinded his eyes.
1 John 2:12 ¶I write unto you, little children, because
your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that
is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome
the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known
the Father.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him
that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because
ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome
the wicked one.
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.
If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the
lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of
the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that
doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:18 ¶Little children, it is the last time:
and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many
antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they
had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went
out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
20 ¶But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know
all things.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth,
but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?
He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but)
he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from
the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain
in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal
life.
26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that
seduce you.
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in
you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing
teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it
hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28 ¶And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he
shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at
his coming.
29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that
doeth righteousness is born of him.
1 Peter 1:1 ¶Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers
scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through
sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood
of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3 ¶Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively
hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth
not away, reserved in heaven for you,
1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 ¶Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season,
if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than
of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto
praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him
not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your
souls.
10 ¶Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched
diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1 Peter 1:10 ¶Of which salvation the prophets have enquired
and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto
you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ
which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings
of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto
us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them
that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from
heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
13 ¶Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober,
and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the
revelation of Jesus Christ;
14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according
to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in
all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons
judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning
here in fear:
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible
things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition
from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without
blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world,
but was manifest in these last times for you,
21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the
dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Genesis 49:1 ¶And Jacob called unto his sons, and
said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall
befall you in the last days.
2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and
hearken unto Israel your father.
3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning
of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest
up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
5 ¶Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty
are in their habitations.
6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly,
mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and
in their selfwill they digged down a wall.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath,
for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
8 ¶Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy
hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall
bow down before thee.
9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone
up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall
rouse him up?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from
between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of
the people be.
11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the
choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood
of grapes:
12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with
milk.
13 ¶Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he
shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.
14 Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:
15 And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant;
and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that
biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
18 I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.
19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at
the last.
20 Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal
dainties.
21 Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
22 ¶Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by
a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and
hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were
made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the
shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by
the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings
of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings
of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they
shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that
was separate from his brethren.
27 Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour
the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.
28 ¶All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this
is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according
to his blessing he blessed them.
29 And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered
unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field
of Ephron the Hittite,
30 In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before
Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron
the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.
31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried
Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.
32 The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein
was from the children of Heth.
33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he
gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered
unto his people.
Isaiah 2:1 ¶The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning
Judah and Jerusalem.
Isaiah 2:2 And it shall come to pass in the last days,
that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of
the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall
flow unto it.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up
to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will
teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall
go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many
people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears
into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither
shall they learn war any more.
5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of
the LORD
Micah 4:1 ¶But in the last days it shall come to pass,
that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the
top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people
shall flow unto it.
2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up
to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and
he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law
shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations
afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears
into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither
shall they learn war any more.
4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig
tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts
hath spoken it.
5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god,
and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.
6 In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth,
and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;
7 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was
cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount
Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
John 12:44 ¶Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me,
believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth
on me should not abide in darkness.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him
not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my
words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same
shall judge him in the last day.
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent
me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever
I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak
(Cp. Rev. 20:7-15)
Revelation 20:1 ¶And I saw an angel come down from heaven,
having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is
the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and
set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the
thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a
little season.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the
witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped
the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their
foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a
thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand
years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:
on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God
and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan
shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the
four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle:
the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed
the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down
from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake
of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall
be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 ¶And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat
on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was
found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book
of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written
in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death
and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged
every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This
is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life
was cast into the lake of fire.
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy
Spirit, you accomplish both.
