Introduction to the book of Hosea

Hosea means "Salvation" which is why it is so fitting that this great work should be the first book of the 12 Minor Prophets, for without salvation to what benefit would understanding any prophecy be to your soul? Actually, without salvation which is Christ, one cannot even have the eyes to see and the ears to hear to enable him or her to fully understand the prophecies contained in His Word.

Hosea chapters 1 through 3 give us a overview as to the severity of the adultery/idolatry of God's people along with His plan of salvation (Hosea) to take back His estranged wife, Israel i.e. today's Christian Nations located in north-western Europe, the far western island of Britain and the Americas.

Hosea chapters 4 and 5 are written as a warning message of impending judgment to the Priests and Preachers of our so-called 21st century Christian churches.

Hosea chapters 6 through 13 cover God's salvation message to us proclaiming Christians,  which Hosea presents in more detail about our transgressions and transgressors as our Father presents His legal case against us and lays the foundation for the judgment to come at the return of Christ.

Chapter 8 begins with a warning to Sound the Alarm, Blow the Trumpet, because as it is written, our people are about to be taken captive once again.

Hosea chapter 14 is the Epilogue of Hosea bringing forth the final message, even the salvation message directly from our Father to His children He loves so dearly.
