A word about the unorganized militia –

Militias are not just made up of a bunch of 45-year-old divorced guys playing
GI Joe. Not all militia dress in camouflage or have womens' names for their
semi-automatic rifles. In fact, the militia is you. That's right, if you are
between the age of 17 and 70 and can still safely operate a weapon, you are
the militia. Unfortunately, most of the "militia" has no idea what that means.

Our founding fathers understood the temptations that politicians face and
warned that without a strong and ready militia, we would lose our freedom and
return to the tyrannical form of government of which they so desperately
fought to be free.

In 1776 they drafted the Declaration of Independence, which dissolved the
political ties that bound us to Great Britain. For eleven years, they fought
a seemingly untenable fight for that freedom, and in 1789 the Constitution of
the United States was ratified.

One cannot fully understand the Constitution without first understanding the
Declaration. They declared that:
"all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with
certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the
Pursuit of Happiness – That to secure these Rights, Governments are
instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the
Governed."
And yet, almost from the beginning of this nation, the government has tried
to get control of the people and even behave as though our Rights are given
to us by government and may be revoked by government as they wish. They
forget that government was instituted to SECURE our rights, and that their
power comes from the people – not the other way around.

Checks and balances were put into place to prevent government from becoming
oppressive. The Constitution was established BY THE PEOPLE – therefore, all
power comes from the people. The power the people gave to the government was
strictly and deliberately limited.

However, no constitution can be self-enforcing. If government officials do
not respect their oaths to uphold the Constitution, 'we the people' must be
vigilant in seeing that they are removed from office or penalized.
The militia – 'we the people,' must remember that this country is only the
greatest nation on earth because we are free – or perhaps I should say that
it can only be the greatest nation on earth while we are free. It is our duty
to understand the Declaration and the Constitution and enforce the principals
that they contain. Within the second paragraph of the Declaration it states:

Whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the
Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new
Government laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its
Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety
and Happiness.
The founding Fathers knew that history would repeat itself, and urged us to
be ever vigilant in preserving the liberty by whatever means necessary.

There are many people today who are fully aware of the way that our elected
representatives put forth legislature in direct violation of their sworn
oaths of office. There are many who see the abuses heaped on us by our
government, and the pure disdain that most legislators have for our Rights.
Many of us "common folk" keep complaining, and threatening that one of these
days the government is going to go too far. But I am wondering what too far
means to them.

Already, the President – like a King - passes law by executive order and
bypasses the judicial process prescribed by the Constitution. He orders war
against the citizens of the United States, urges congress to pass laws that
are in direct conflict with our rights, and has offered aid and comfort to Al
Qaeda members by ORDERING the FBI in Chicago not to interfere with their
members. Does this not violate his oath? Are these not acts of Treason that
require his immediate removal from office? But, this is not enough for the
militia.
Since 1789, over 26,000 gun laws have been passed - infringing the rights of
firearms ownership. Although the second amendment clearly states that the
Right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, legislators continue to
write new, more oppressive laws restricting our rights. Still, the militia
sits idly by; this is not enough to call them to action.

Politicians constantly lie to us and steal from us, yet very few are ever
held accountable for their criminal actions. In fact, we expect politicians
to lie, cheat and steal. We have become so numb, that most people have
stopped voting and no longer have the stomach to monitor our politicians.
Yet, the militia continues to sit on the sideline.

What are we waiting for? Are we expecting a direct challenge from the
government? Isn't it apparent that the government has been grabbing more and
more control one degree at a time? Isn't it clear that this is not the
government that was created by our founding fathers and outlined in our
Constitution?

We are no longer a free society. We no longer have private ownership of land.
We no longer have the right to keep and bear arms without infringement. We no
longer have the right to freely criticize our President or his
administration. We are no longer free from a standing army or from our
military using their force against us. We are no longer free in our homes, in
our businesses or in our papers. We are NOT free from unreasonable search and
seizure, and the government no longer needs a warrant OR probable cause to
search you, your home, your car, or your business. We are no longer entitled
to a jury – we only need to be accused of being associated with foreign or
domestic terrorism and we can be tried in a private military tribunal and
denied counsel or the right to face our accuser. Excessive bail and cruel and
unusual punishment are commonplace. Any rights NOT spelled out in the
Constitution, the government has decided are theirs to give or deny. More and
more power is being taken FROM the states and given to the Federal
government. Control or Our national parks is being given to the United
Nations, and those who manage have been given diplomatic immunity against our
judicial system by executive order of the President. Vote fraud, scams,
denial to ballot access, and bribery has made our "free" elections a joke and
a private function for those with the most money. Taxes are exorbitant and
are collected by a private corporation – not by our government – and those
collectors behave as though they are above the law, with force, and with
prejudice. Our money is no longer produced or controlled by our government,
but instead by a foreign corporation. The Federal Reserve is in control and
has demonstrated that it will stop at nothing to maintain that supreme
control.

In short, nearly all of the Rights that our elected government officials
swore to uphold have been usurped. Yet, I have not received a call from my
Governor telling me to report to militia duty. I have not heard or seen any
indication that "the unorganized militia" is gearing up to demand that our
government honor their oaths and return to a Constitutional government. I
have not been sent any notice that anyone is drafting a new form of
government and that this new government will seize control of the country
from the crooks and traitors that are currently running it. I wonder what on
earth these patriotic Americans are waiting for. Perhaps they believe that
attaching several flags to their cars or their homes fulfills their patriotic
obligation. Perhaps they are waiting for someone to announce, "the redcoats
are coming" or words to that effect. All I know is that our once great
nation, that was started by men willing to give up their homes, their
families and their fortunes and risk certain death rather than pay
unjustified taxes, is seriously ill. I also know that there is every
indication that the health of this country will continue to decline if the
current unchecked government continues. What I want to know is when is
enough, enough?

Americans must realize that our sovereignty is under fire. We must take
immediate action to repeal all unconstitutional laws. We must begin
prosecuting dishonest judges, remove legislators with no disregard for the
supreme law of the land, and come up with a national voting system that
cannot be tampered with.
We may be able to win this war with ballots instead of bullets, but if we
don't do something soon, I am afraid that we will see the militia rise up as
it never has before in history.
