[Hebrews 4:12]For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Does it say that the words of preachers and ministers can give you life? No!It is ONLY God's Word which is alive (quick), for it is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. You see, eternal life is contained in the Word of God. John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think [are assured] ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

Christ is the living Word of God and the Bible is the Written Word of God which testifies of Him. The two are inseparable. His Word can change your whole life around and change your intellect and cause your mind to become like His as your spirit (your intellect) receives and unites with His Spirit (the Word of God, His intellect).

Also the Word of God is sharper than any twoedged sword because it can pierce right through your soul (your being) and spirit (the intellect of your soul). In other words, it can spiritually filet you and lay you open like a sacrifice upon an altar and expose everything there is about your body, soul, and spirit! In fact, it IS the discerner (which means critic or judge) of the thoughts and intents of the heart and it is that Word by which all shall be judged!

So the choice is yours. You can either turn to Him and love and obey Him, i.e. trust and rely on Him having faith and enter into His rest, or you can "die in the wilderness" and remain (spiritually) dead for 1,000 years and await the great white throne judgment day at the end of the Millennium when the books shall be opened, your book containing your life (testimony) and the Book of Life, the Word of God which is alive and by which you shall be judged!

Rev. 20:12
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Note: This is those of us who go through the Millennium spiritually dead who will be judged by our works at the end of the Millennium as opposed to those of us who are faithful to Christ until the end (the day Christ returns, i.e. the start of the His Millennial reign) who have already received eternal life at His return.
That's right! Your works are written in your detailed biography which your Father keeps, for as it is written, He knows both you and your works very well. After all, you are His child!

Note: He knew if you were loyal to Him or Lucifer during the first earth age and He visits you during the night, even now, testing your heart. See Psalms 17:3 Yes, God knows your heart.

Editor's note: When you awake from a dream do you remember your dream and how you handled various morality tests, i.e. responded to the many different situations you found yourself reacting to in your dream. Do you wake up feeling good about yourself, or have you need to get down on your knees and beg His forgiveness; asking Him to change your heart.

So is there anything that can be hid from God? No, but thank God for Jesus Christ who became our Passover and shed His blood for us, so that upon repentance God will forgive us our transgressions and remember them no more.

Hebrews 4:13
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
The word "opened" in Greek is "trachelizo" from which get the word "trachea" meaning "windpipe". You see, He can take you and bare all by figuratively looking right down your throat and see what is inside you. Thankfully, we have such a great high priest as our Lord and Savior who is merciful to us and has shown us the way by being faithful in all that He did, through all His trials and temptations and suffering of death. Why are we so thankful for that? Because we know that He "has been there and done that" in that He was tempted in EVERY WAY as we are with one exception... He did NOT sin! Therefore, we know that when we mess up, we have an advocate at the right hand of the Father who is merciful and compassionate and knows exactly what we are going through.
[14]Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
So let us be steadfast and trust and rely in Him for what He has done for us because He loves His children so. He is not out to "get" people or cause them to fall. Truth is... it not only provokes Him to anger but it also breaks His heart when His children are so disobedient and have to suffer the consequences of their actions.
[15]For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
The great teacher Paul made this abundantly clear as to why Christ was tempted and suffered. No matter what trial or tribulation you go through or are going through, never forget that HE KNOWS! Go to Him and He is able to succor you! Hebrews 2:18 "For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour (aid, relieve) them that are tempted."
[16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
To "come boldly" means to come openly and honestly with frankness. Return To Day to the mercy seat of God from whence His children were drawn astray and know that you may obtain mercy (His love) and find grace to help in time of need! What a loving Father we have. How could anyone not love Him for all He has done for us?

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
