He was the I AM, the same I AM Who spoke to Moses, even the same I AM from the beginning. Exodus 3:14 "And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
That was the "last straw", so to speak. So what do mature religious leaders do when they get upset? Pick up rocks and hurl them!
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
