Pamphlet #4248

My Note:  Remnant - Only a remnant of the Judahiats were left for Nebuchadnezzar to take to Babylon in 586BC. Ref. Scripture 2 Kings 19:4 ..., lift up thy prayer for the remnant who are left. 2 Kings 19:4  It may be the LORD thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God; and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that are left.

Question - Where are the bulk of the people from the ancient House of Judah?
Answer - Scattered throughout Europe and, now America, along with the bulk of the Judahiats and their brethren, the Ancient Israelites from the House of Israel which Assyria had carried away 150 years earlier.

Additional relevant scripture. 2 Kings 18:9-13 2 Kings 18:9  And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.
10  And at the end of three years they took it: even in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that is the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.
11  And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:
12  Because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD their God, but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the LORD commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them.
13  Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.

Note: The majority of the Judahaits were taken away by the Assyrians not the Babylonians!  About 140 years later the remaining Judahites, a remnant were taken captive by the Babylonians.  It was this remnant of Judahites and their descendants who were preserved to set the stage in the Holy Land for the coming of Christ the Messiah.

Note: James addresses his epistle to all twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, verifying the dispersion of "The House of Judah" along with "The House of Israel". James 1:1  James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

See pamphlets #1064 and #1020. From 745-721 B.C., all ten tribes of the House of Israel along with most of the two tribes of the House of Judah were taken captive and driven by the Assyrians into the Caucasus region between the Black and Caspian Seas. The remnant that was left in Judea of the House of Judah was then taken to Babylon during the conquering of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzor in 586BC, 135 years after the whole House of Israel and the majority of the House of Judah were captured by their Assyrian conquerors!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
