Pamphlet #329

This essay was written several years ago but the situation is still pretty much the same today.

"Putting Numbers & Common Sense in Perspective"

There is a small church outside of town with less than a thousand members,
about 537 to be exact.
The reason I know it's 537 is because there's a small town
just South of us that has a population of 537.
Sort of like "Hick Town USA".  Blink and you will miss it.
You know 537 is not a lot of people, then when you divide them in half,
say like 268 on one side of town that works for the egg factory,
and 269 on the other side of town that works at the lumber mill
the numbers really do seem small.
Of course we do have a few larger cities close by with populations over 50,000.
Day-to-day the people in the larger cities don't worry
about the small towns coming in and overtaking them through land-grabs,
annexation, raising their taxes,
or taking over their schools.
No, it's pretty quiet around here.

You know, come to think of it,
these are exactly the same numbers we have ruling our federal government.
We have 537:  435 members in the House, 100 Senators, 1 President, and 1 Vice President,
which makes 537.
Then we have pretty much an even split of 268 Democrats and 269 Republicans.
Just think of it, we have 268 Democrats who want this or that,
and 269 Republicans who
did, or want this or that. Of course,
when the national TV media say the words "Democrats" it implies millions,
or many more than just 268 people.
The same thing applies when they say "Republicans Rule",
rather than saying 269 Republicans rule.
I guess they want to imply that you and I are out numbered.
Sorta like making the Indians think there's more soldiers inside the fort
than there really are and they won't attack.
You know, there's strength in numbers.
It makes them think the whole Country wants this sort of thing
and the whole country is obligated to pay for it.
And politics pretty much remain the same,  legal or not (Constitutional).
We cowardly refuse to face down 269 everyday common people.
Oh, you say not everyday common people?
 Trust me, they are human.
They crawl into their pants one leg at a time just like we do.
Just because you go to church, it doesn't make you a Christian,
nor does going to McDonalds make you a hamburger.
And believe it or not, being elected or appointed to a government office
doesn't make you GOD!

The estimated population of the United States is 283,838,662.
There's an estimated 132 million taxpayers.
The National Taxpayer's Union says taxes have gone up 175,000% in the last 83 years.
The U.S. National Debt is over 5.7 trillion dollars.
Newly elected Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton has to rent a 7,909 sq. ft. office
for $514,148 per year at the taxpayers expense.
The taxpayers will also provide her husband "Bubba" an office for $350,000 per year.
Other past examples of brain disorders include:

* $1 Million to study how to cross the street in Utah.
* $76,971 to study "Human Responses to Repeated Floods." (Victims get depressed and move to higher land.)
* $104,055 to study how people communicate through facial expressions.
* $384,000 for a federally paid census of the cats and dogs in Ventura County, California.
*  $1.2 million to replace the lobby marble, plus $600,000 for new Italian-designed desks, for the  European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which gets $70 million a year from U.S. taxpayers.
*  $5 million for King County (Washington) park-and-ride lots.
*  $90,000 to study the social life - not the diet or health - of vegetarians.
*  $109 million for new federal loans to students who had already defaulted on their old loans.
*  $15 million for the preservation of antiquities - in Egypt.
*  $250,000 for a National Soccer Activity Center.
*  $229,460 to study the sex life of houseflies.
*  $161,913 to study "Israeli Reactions to Scud Attacks During the Gulf War" (They didn't like them.)
*  $2.8 million for a Louisiana school of cosmetology to cover the tuition of 673 students.  Only 19 got state licenses, at a cost to taxpayers of $148,000 per.
*  $936,000 to the Palmer Chiropractor School in Iowa to conduct demonstrations for the public.
*   $23 million to find out how long it takes mail to be delivered.

Now let me tell you what hurts most of all.
It's YOUR MONEY!
Not the government's money.
YOUR MONEY!

And the vast majority of people across America do not know
or understand the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, nor care to.
They fear the government at all levels.
They do not know what is Constitutional and what is not.
They do not know that paying Income Tax is VOLUNTARY
to most of the Sovereign Citizens of the Sovereign States of the Union.
