The American Wisdom Series

Presents Pamphlet #321

Do we have some budding Patrick Henry types out there?

Americans who aren't aware of anything more than the economic slowdown
are apparently commuting to and from work in a gray haze of vague insecurity,
contemplating the loss of value to their 401k plans.

Other than that, and whatever happened to Chandra Levy,
the nation appears to be in fairly good shape because major media says it is.

The only media-mantra is budgetary
or typical political rhetoric that says nothing in one-minute sound bites.

Speaking of bites,
the media does manage to inform Average American that another shark has bitten.

The fact that we have more laws now,
and more in process on Capitol Hill,
that should terrify Americans who believe in freedom,
doesn't reach the ears of average workers.

That's why Americans as a whole,
or at least as a majority,
aren't protesting the intrusions into private lives,
the swiping of kids by state Child Protective Services (by whatever name),
the sentencing of a man for a thought-crime that he wrote down but never did,
the pushing of landowners off their property under some endangered species rule
OR, in the alternative,
the exercise of the power of eminent domain.

           We're losing our land,
our property rights,
our social rights,
our rights to even think of something
and most Americans don't give a wooden dime.

It takes some heroes to stand up and fight.
It takes some heroes to want to come into public life
at the risk of their reputations
and their personal safety
to cry out against growing government abuse
and make the words hit home
so that Mr. and Mrs. Average American
can see how close we are to losing our
famed and historic constitutional rights.

           We have a centrist president
and no centrist will ever be a hero.

Do we have some budding Patrick Henry types out there?

If so, you are needed and needed NOW.
