Pamphlet 1698 Habakkuk kc 7-2

By the way, the confederacy, the New World Order, is becoming quite strong these days, isn't it?

Let us now "hear" the psalm of Habakkuk who was now so filled with awe and reverence for our Father.

Habakkuk 3:1
A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet upon Shigionoth.
"Shigionoth", which is the Hebrew plural of "Shiggaion", is always rendered “roar” and it has two meanings, one of which is a “loud cry in danger”, as in Psalm 7, and the other is “a loud cry of sheer joy” which is what Habakkuk’s embracing prayer (Psalm) is all about. In other words, Habakkuk was so overjoyed and filled with awe for what he now knew, that he could hardly contain himself in his joy as he prays this awesome hymn which begins with "O LORD!"
[2] O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
This verse is packed with information for our understanding. First of all, Habakkuk "heard God's hearing" with his "ears to hear", meaning he now understood from God's Word after studying and waiting patiently, the magnificence and the wisdom and the love contained in God's plan that culminates this flesh age, and he was simply awe-struck (afraid = in awe). You see, he now understood the purpose of the wondrous "work that He would work" at the "appointed time" of the end and how it would ultimately bring about "the knowledge of His glory which would fill the whole earth (both of Israel and the heathen nations) as the waters cover the deep" (Habakkuk 2:14). To wit, the very works of the ungodly man during the reign of the spurious messiah, i.e. he who is on the receiving end of the "Woe's" detailed in chapter two, shall become "a parable against him, and a taunting proverb [a witness] against him" (Habakkuk 2:6). Then, after the vials (plagues) are poured out God shall pour out that last and 7th vial, His wrath, upon the ungodly and bring every man to his knees, which is the first step in making believers out of them! Yes, God is able and He shall make believers out of them all right and even the heathen SHALL KNOW that He is the great "I AM"! Praise Yahveh! His ways are just and true!

By the way, the phrase "in the midst of the years" in verse 2 is used 273 times in the scriptures and would you believe that this is the ONLY place where it refers to TIME? (See note in Companion Bible, pg. 1269.) This is fascinating given the fact that we are learning about the two tribulations in this Book of Habakkuk, (1) the coming of the "Chaldeans", i.e. the reign of false-christ which is the 6th Trump, and (2) the "Wrath of God" at the 7th Trump (which won't last but a few minutes and is reserved solely for His enemies (Nahum 1:2) and not for those who love Him). You see, according to Daniel 9:27 it is in  "the midst of the week", the 70th and last week of Daniel's prophecy, that the little horn, the vile person shall enter in and "cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease". In other words he (Satan) comes claiming to be God and the whole world believes him, including the majority of Christianity, thereby cutting off the true worship, the communion of the saints, to the true God. In other words, the "moon", the lunar one representing Satan, turns to blood, as in becomes [the] blood [sacrifice].

Daniel 9:27
And he shall confirm (Heb. "gabar" = strengthen) the covenant (Heb. "beryith" also = confederacy, league, i.e. the New World Order) with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
In other words, the first Beast of Rev. 13:1 rises and becomes strong ("gabar") before the abomination of desolation, the second Beast, the religious beast of Rev. 13, i.e. Satan as the spurious messiah, comes on the scene claiming to be Jesus. So the defacto coming of the "Chaldean" army (Hab. 1:6), that locust army led by the king of Babylon himself (Satan), begins "in the midst of the week". Did Habakkuk know what Daniel knew? Of course he did! He was a watchman, wasn't he? And what a blessing it is indeed for the watchmen of this final generation to know and understand that the events that are now taking place (and must yet take place) will have a positive outcome according to His loving purpose. And now that Habakkuk understands the magnificence of “the Work which He shall work", he cries O LORD... bring it on! In other words, "revive", as in renew your work once againin the midst of the years. In the midst of the years (repeated twice for emphasis to draw our attention) “make known”. By the way, the confederacy, the New World Order, is becoming quite strong these days, isn't it? The "midst of the week" draws nearer each day as the New World Order increases with the crushing strength of a bear, the vicious shredding teeth of a lion, and the swiftness of a "spotted" leopard. Watch, watchmen! Watch!

To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits; to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
