Pamphlet 1524 John kc 28-3
I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews,
and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
In today's study we are going to learn the real identity of this certain group of scribes and Pharisees, who will once again lie to Jesus Christ, this time claiming to be the actual descendents of Abraham.
But before we begin let's review some history. Following Cyrus' decree in 426 BC to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem, Ezra and Nehemiah went back to Jerusalem, but they took with them only a REMNANT from the House of Judah. The rest of Judah, the majority of them, went north over the Caucasus Mountains with the other tribes of Israel and to this very day most of true Judah and Israel do not know who they are. Though they basically comprise the Christian nations of the world, in their ignorance they call themselves gentiles.
Now during the trip back to Jerusalem, at one point Ezra stopped and gathered the people together and took a census. And guess what he found, or better yet, what he didn't find? Read it yourself:There were no Levitical priests among them. NONE! So Ezra sent some Nethinims, who were temple helpers, back to Babylon to get some Real Ministers, some genuine Levites, for the house of God.Ezra 8:15
And I gathered them together to the river than runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.Well, they did what Ezra asked them to. They brought back some Levites, but they did not come back with very many. And though these Levites would serve in the temple for some time, by the time of Christ the sons of Cain will have taken over. In fact, Caiaphas the high priest, would actually be appointed by the Roman governor. And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.
 And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;
So that we understand the conversation that is about to take place in John between Jesus and the scribes and Pharisees we need to know that out of the 400 year period from the time of Malachi, the last book in the Old Testament, to the time of Christ would come forth the Great Synagogue. And many of the ruling authorities of the temple, those religious leaders in charge, would not be of the seed of Abraham, i.e. true Israelites or Levitical Priests, but would be the wicked sons of Cain, who are called "kenites" (pronounced cainites) in the Bible. They will try to convince Jesus that they are of the "seed" of Abraham, BY BIRTH! But they are not! They are liars and are of the synagogue of Satan (Rev. 2:9, 3:9).
That is exactly what Jesus meant in Matthew 23 when He said the scribes and Pharisees sit in the seat of Moses, i.e. the seat of authority.So let's begin today's study in John with chapter 8 vs. 31.Matthew 23:2
Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:The Greek word for "continue" is meno and is better translated "abide".John 8:31
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
So the "flip side" of what Jesus just said is if you don't abide in His Word, you are not one of His disciples.AND, THEREFORE, IF you abide in His Word, THEN you shall know the truth! Jesus Christ, the Word of God, is the truth that shall make you free. Not only will you be free from sin, but you will be free from worry, anxieties, etc., not to mention free from the traditions of men. And this verse does not say that abiding in church will make you free. Church is actually a bondage for many. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.The word "seed" in Greek is sperma and means by implication offspring. And by the way, actually Abraham's seed was in bondage in Egypt for 400 years. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?Does this verse sound a little bit disconnected from the previous one? Oh contraire! You see, they just committed sin. They just LIED to Jesus Christ, right to His face, and of course He knew it! They were NOT of Abraham's seed. So as usual, this verse fits perfectly and it lets them know that HE KNOWS. And now for a little salvation message: Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.The servant of sin will not abide forever. Of course not. Remember that the wicked, the unrepentant servants of sin, shall be consumed in the lake of fire and perish? So ultimately, by the time of the great white throne judgment at the end of the Millennium, if one doesn't abide in Him, they're history! No, actually they will be completely blotted out of history! They will be nothing and remembered no more! And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.If the Son sets you free from sin, by paying the price and you accept Him as Savior and He therefore forgives you of your sin, then you shall be free indeed, free from the bondage of sin, which is what? Death! If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."I know that you say you are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me..."John 8:37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.Notice there are two "fathers" in this verse. One is capitalized and the other is not. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
John 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
"We are not illegitimate!", they retorted. "We have one Father - God." (Phillips) Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Jesus now identifies the origin of their family "tree". Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
It doesn't get any plainer than these words of Jesus Christ. These particular scribes and Pharisees were not who they claimed to be, i.e. they were not children of Abraham, and so by default they could not even be of Judah. They were descendants of Cain, the first son of Satan, the first murderer. It was Cain's offspring, the kenites, who were responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, though Judah has been the one blamed for it. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Note: If you are not familiar with what really transpired in the fig grove in the garden of Eden, then log unto "Genesis" .
Now most preachers and ministers and commentaries will try to "spiritualize away" this 44th verse in John 8, and say Christ wasn't talking about "sperma", i.e. seed and offspring. But let me ask you, is there not a group of people who run around today claiming that they are God's chosen people? Are they?
Those Christians who belong to the church of Smyrna know they are not!
Those Christians who belong to the church of Philadelphia know they are not!Rev. 2:8-9
And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
The question is,"Do you know who they are?" Do you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear what Jesus said in the Parable of the Tares in Matthew 13?Rev. 3:7-9
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
You will find at the end of His explanation of that parable that ears to hear are a requirement to understanding it. The multitudes, the majority, do not understand it!
"The Two Sowers of Seed", both the Good (Adam's sons) and the Tares (Satan's sons) in one Combined Pamphlet #7000/7007 (Jesus Christ told His disciples (which means you if you are one) that unless they understood the "Parable of the Sower" they would not be able to understand any of His parables.) You can't understand "The Parable of the Tares" until you understand "The Parable of the Sower" and you will be lost comprehending "The Parable of the Fig Tree" until you know who both sowers were and their deeds.
To study the Bible is the noblest of all pursuits;
to understand it, the highest of all goals.
We pray that with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, you accomplish both.
